The Zombie Queen’s Second Chance [Rewrite Ongoing]

During the last 2 hours, Zhao Yun, Lin Qiao and Hu Wei exhausted all possible topics to talk about. Since they were beginning to feel tired, they decided to stay together in silence and just watch out for possible dangers.

"Don't you guys feel like these guys over there has been looking at us quite a few times?" Hu Wei asked, observing a distant group of people. He couldn't help but feel being watched by them.

Lin Qiao glanced at them and said, "I didn't notice, perhaps you just imagined it?"

"I think he might be right. Some of these guys have been sneaking a look at us here and there." Zhao Yun said.

"Do you think they want to do something?"

"I saw them splitting up into a few groups before. I think some of them went to the opposite side of their current camp." Zhao Yun analyzed, thinking of their movements.

Lin Qiao felt slightly stiff. She couldn't help her quickening breath at all. "Should we wake up others? We might be in danger..."

"If we wake them all up now, we might have some trouble staying awake until morning…" Hu Wei worried.

"Let's just wake up Mu Ruqin for now. She's got an offensive ability, so if we end up in any danger it's better for her to be up and ready for a fight." Zhao Yun said.

"Alright, I'll go and wake her up." Said Lin Qiao.

Lin Qiao made her way towards one of the trucks, opening its door as quietly as possible. Afterwards, she stepped up inside the truck and tried to tiptoe between other people's body until she got to the sleeping Mu Ruqin.

She tilted her head down and tried whispering to her, "Hey, wake up. We need your help."

Unfortunately for her, Mu Ruqin was a pretty deep sleeper. Seeing that she wasn't moving at all, Lin Qiao tried to gently shake her until she woke up.

Mu Ruqin in her sleep felt someone touching her. She tried to slap the hand, that was trying to wake her up, away. Lin Qiao tried again, this time with a little harder movement.

Since she couldn't continue to sleep being stirred up, Mu Ruqin finally woke up, saying in a slightly raised voice, "Is it already time to wake up?"

Lin Qiao quickly gestured to her to stay quiet. Mu Ruqin's eyes gradually regained their focus, so Lin Qiao continued, "We've got a little situation. Wake up and come with me."

Chu Lixue due to her work in previous life could never sleep for long hours. When she would finally get some sleep, very often would she wake up from the slightest movements or sounds around her.

Now, with the sounds made from the moving Mu Ruqin and Lin Qiao, Chu Lixue already woke up. Seeing that these two were heading outside, she asked, "Did something happen?"

Lin Qiao almost jumped from fear. Slightly turning her head around, she said in a panting voice, "We're not sure yet."

Chu Lixue made sure little Lili was having a good sleep, turning her body into a slightly more comfortable position and adjusting her head's position. Afterwards, she stood up and followed Mu Ruqin and Lin Qiao outside.

Once they closed the car's door behind them, she asked, "So what is going on exactly? You wouldn't wake us up if everything was fine."

"There's a group that has been observing us for some time now. Zhao Yun saw them splitting up before, and going by the directions they went to, it looked as if they wanted to corner us."

Lin Qiao said, and seeing that none of them had a reaction to what they heard, she continued speaking. "We weren't sure if they really want to target us or anything, so we figured out that we may as well just wake up Mu Ruqin in case they try something funny."

"So I'm an additional casualty to your waking up process, huh?" Chu Lixue said, in a slightly low, funny voice.

Lin Qiao lowered her head a little. "Sorry about that Sister Lixue, I couldn't wake her up quietly…"

"It's fine, I'm a light sleeper anyway. If I wanted to blame someone, I should probably blame Mu Ruqin."

"Hey, that's dirty! It's not like I wanted to wake you up either!" Mu Ruqin said with a slightly dark face. Clearly, she would also like to continue sleeping. It's all Lin Qiao's fault for waking them up, humph!

They slowly moved towards Hu Wei and Zhao Yun.

"You woke up as well, Sister Lixue?" Hu Wei said, creating another pair of chairs for them, out of the metal they gathered before.

"Yep, didn't really have a choice.", she said as she sat down on her chair, "Thanks."

Mu Ruqin also sat down and said, "So, where's that group of losers making trouble?"

Zhao Yun turned his head slightly to the left side. "They're over there, that mini-caravan and the cars around it belongs to them."

"There's also a few of them walking around on our right. See these 4 guys, with the guy wearing a gray coat in the middle of them?" Hu Wei pointed out. "Yep, them. We saw them splitting up with the other people near the caravan before moving towards that area."

"Well, I guess we will see if they plan on making any trouble for us." Chu Lixue said.
