The Zombie Queen’s Second Chance [Rewrite Ongoing]

Soon, Chu Lixue and her team got an answer to their question.

"It seems they couldn't stay still at the end of the day…" Mu Ruqin said.

"Lin Qiao, go and wake up the others. It's safer if they are awake should something happen." Chu Lixue looked towards the incoming group.

"Should I wake up little Lili as well?"

"You can wake her up. Just tell her not to come out of the car."

Mu Ruqin added, "Just get Su Chang to stay with her. We don't have any plants near us, he wouldn't make a difference even if he wanted to help."

"Alright, I'm going now!" Lin Qiao started to make a little sprint towards the car's doors.

When Lin Qiao made her way towards the trucks, Chu Lixue and the rest of her group could slowly see the people coming towards them.

"It seems that the fatty walking in the middle of them is their leader."

Mu Ruqin looked at them with a little disdain. "They seem like a group of some small, local hoodlums, don't they?"

"Alright, keep it down for now. We won't know until we meet them."

Mao Long and his subordinates slowly made their way towards Chu Lixue's group.

"Boss, why do we even need to talk to them?"

"Right! Can't we just take their stuff and go sleep?" Voiced out another person, but it seems as if what he said was the collective thought of the whole group.

Boss Mao looked at his subordinates with a concealed disdain. "Let's just talk with them first. If they turn out to be affiliated with the military it wouldn't do us any good if we tried to rob them."

"So, if they turn out to be a normal group of survivors can we simply get it done and go back to sleep? It's the middle of the night Boss!"

"Alright, shut up already! You're making it sound as if I didn't let you sleep for a week now or what… We're take what should be ours once we make sure it's clear." Mao Long practically shouted.

After all it wasn't originally his idea to look for trouble with this group. If it wasn't for some of his thugs getting greedy for Chu Lixue's equipment, he probably would be asleep right now. Since they wanted to make a move on them, they shouldn't complain about it anymore!

In the meaning time, Lin Qiao managed to wake up the rest of the team and simply explain their current situation to them.

Shortly after, the whole team, aside from Su Chang and Chu Lili, was assembled in front of their trucks.

"Why do they even bother with us…" Ren Ming asked, but it felt more like she was talking to herself.

Zhao Yun was kind enough today to explain. "Even though we have hidden everything we're bringing back to the base under the trucks sheet, you guys shouldn't forget that these two trucks aren't something that is available to just everyone."

"That's true. Unless someone gets them from the military, or finds them abandoned somewhere, it really is not easy to get your hands on even one of these trucks. They're worth a lot right now." Mu Ruqin added.

"But aren't we close to the base? Aren't they scared of the military?" Lin Qiao couldn't help but to voice out her thoughts.

"Well, it seems like they don't really care. They're either stupid or have enough power to back up their confidence."

"Alright, they're coming." Chu Lixue stopped their conversation. "If you see anybody from their group trying something funny, move quickly. It would be best if we could close them down with our earth abilities, but we will see how it goes."

"I'm fine with that."

"Okay, let's do it."

"I don't see a problem with that either."

"Yep, me too."

"It's alright I guess. I still hope we won't need to fight."

All five of them soon voiced out their consent. Moments later, Boss Mao's group made it to their place.

Since Boss Mao only wanted to get to know some details about Chu Lixue's group this time, he only brought his closest 4 subordinates with him. All of them being male, with their ages varying between 18 and 34.

"What can I do for you?" Chu Lixue straight up asked. While waiting for their answer, she was observing Mao Long and his group. Seeing that they didn't seem to carry any weapons on themselves, she slightly relaxed.

At the same time, Mao Long was also checking them out.

Seeing a group that seemed to have a smaller amount of people than he had, with quite a few woman, and all of them looking pretty young, his confidence was slowly rising. After all, even through his group wasn't specially trained, they shouldn't have a problem dealing with a bunch of kids, right?

Standing proudly in front of Chu Lixue and her group, Mao Long slowly opened his mouth.

"My surname is Mao. I'm the leader of this group." he said, looking at them with confidence. "Who should I speak with?"

Even through Chu Lixue asked him a question earlier, Mao Long didn't even bother looking at her. For him, she was just a young, naive girl. The one that he was most wary of was Zhao Yun, who he thought was their group's leader. After all, he was the oldest person out of them, and his years in military did some work on his bearing.
