The Villainess 'Simple' Life

"I wanted some fresh air." She innocently smiled at him.

"Ah. Where are your siblings?" That bit of concern was still there.

"They're in the Royal Library right now. I didn't want to disturb them so I went out here." She still had that smile on her face but she said the sentence with a bit of sadness.

"Would you like me to accompany you while they're in the Royal Library, you must be bored."

"Ah, would you?" Lyra's eyes were sparkling with joy.

Laughing a bit, the crown nodded.

"Hehe, okay." She showed him a smile once again.

"Where would you like to go? Would you like this prince to show you where the fishes are."

"Ah, fishes! Can we?" Lyra tried her best to show a happy and spoiled expression. 'This is making me sick.'

The prince nodded, still having that kind smile on his face and showed her the way. Along the way, they chatted a bit but the crown prince did most of the talking.

"You can call me by my name." The prince said.

"Ah? How can I."

"It-" The crown prince stopped his sentence when he saw his brother coming over.

The 2nd prince of the Avgí Empire, the prince who was known to be a player. But behind that facade, he's someone intelligent and crafty, even the emperor and the crown prince doesn't know. The two princes are known to have a good relationship but that's all false. That's what they show to the public, only the top nobles know that these two are at each other's throat. In her past life, when the crown prince revolted, the 2nd prince disappeared, nobody ever saw him again.

"Good day to you, brother." The crown prince showed him a smile that has a hint of provocation.

"Haha, good day to you too brother. Who's this little miss?" The 2nd prince showed great interest in Lyra.

"Greetings, I am Lyra Clarke from the Duke's family." Lyra smiled at the 2nd prince.

"Oh, no wonder why you're so beautiful." The 2nd prince complimented her.

"Hehe, thank you." She showed him a bashful smile. 'This is tiring. Having to act like this every single day, ahh.' Lyra looked around her to see that her three knights were still secretly following her. They thought that she didn't know but she noticed since the start hence she has to put on this act of a child who's naive.

"The 3rd princess is looking for you, brother." The second prince said.

The Avgí Empire has three princes and two princesses. The crown prince who is also the first prince is named, Carter MacQuoid. The 2nd prince's name is Hudson MacQuoid. The 4th prince who is rarely seen in public is named, Karter MacQuoid. .

The 3rd princess who is also known as the lovely princess is named, Avery MacQuoid. And last, the 5th princess who is also rarely shown to the public because of her sickly body, Lila MacQuoid.

The crown prince and the 3rd princess are siblings, their mother is the Empress. The 2nd prince, 4th prince, and 5th princess are siblings, their mother is the Imperial Honorable Consort. People praise the Empress for having such kind and loving children while pitying the Imperial Honorable Consort.

"Oh, thank you for telling me, brother." He then turned to Lyra. "I'm sorry but I have to go."

'Yes!' Lyra was feeling overjoyed in her heart but she had on a sad smile on her face. "Okay, that's fine."

The crown prince really wanted to stay but his sister is asking for him so he has to go. In the eyes of the public, the 3rd princess is kind and lovely but behind the scene, she's only someone spoiled who will throw a tantrum if someone doesn't listen to her request.

With that, the crown prince said a few more words before he left. "Should I accompany you instead?" The 2nd prince said.

"Really, would you?" She had on that innocent smile again. Lyra was quite curious about the 2nd prince, she only came to know his true nature when she read his mind in her past life. The 2nd prince also had his defenses on, never letting anyone go past it besides his mother and siblings.

"Haha, of course."

"Can we go to where the fishes are? The crown prince was about to take me there." She no longer had on that sad face but instead had on a happy and curious face.

The 2nd prince laughed again before he started walking to where the fish pond was with Lyra. "Do you like the 1st prince?" The 2nd prince asked out of nowhere. Lyra was taken aback a little bit before she had on her facade again. Of course, the 2nd prince didn't see that as it all happened too fast.

"Yes, I do." Lyra wanted to gag when she said that but luckily she didn't.

"The 1st prince is not what you think he is, you should be careful. He wouldn't love you, he would only use you." The 2nd prince thought that Lyra liked the crown prince in a way that lovers do. Lyra wanted to gag even more now. '...Why is he telling me this, I'm only 5 physically.' This never happened in her past life.

"Hm, what do you mean by love? Love as in like family? I only love my family, no one else. I see the crown prince as a... person." Lyra still had on that curious and cutely innocent face.

The 2nd prince paused for a bit before he laughed. "Haha, of course."

"Do you have anyone you love, 2nd prince?" When Lyra asked him that, the 2nd prince stilled for a bit. "Hmm, do I? Do you not know of my reputation as a player?"

"Of course I do. I'm just curious, hehe. You can tell me, I won't tell anybody, promise." Lyra wanted to know, not because she likes him but because she was genuinely curious.. The 2nd prince, a player that loves to play around, suddenly has a woman that he loves, wouldn't it be a great topic? Lyra, of course, wasn't going to tell anyone.
