Dai Fen almost choked hearing Feng Xi's words. He took a small glance towards Ye Chen wondering what his reaction was. But to his surprise, Ye Chen let out a laugh and slapped the table. "Haha! Little girl, you are good! I like you!" 

Ye Chen's change in attitude surprised Feng Xi. She looked at the Ye Chen with a questioning look. She was not sure what to make to this situation. 'Didn't I just trash your name? I just called you an idiot this entire time because of your business sense. Don't tell me you are truly an idiot!?'

"Haha! Even your gaze is formidable! Don't worry I haven't lost my mind and no I am not an idiot." Ye Chen said with a wide smile. But Feng Xis' gaze became even more complicated after hearing his words wondering if the man had truly lost his mind or not. 

"Let me put it like this. The papers you just read are all fake. I was testing you to see if you were truly all that Old Fen said you were. When he came to me with a prospective buyer I was a bit concerned when I heard how old you were. But I have to say to be so young and worth more than ninety percent of the people in China you are truly outstanding. This test was a test to make sure it was your business sense that brought you this far or if it was just dumb luck. 

"With that being said I have to say I am truly amazed. Not only did you pick out every key point in the doc.u.ments but you also did so with only looking at them for fifteen minutes. And I suspect that you only took that long to make sure you did not miss anything." Ye Chen took out another doc.u.ment and passed it to Dai Fen who then passed it over to Feng Xi. "This doc.u.ment is the real deal, please have a look."

Frowning Feng Xi who had not said a word this entire time took the doc.u.ment and began reading it. But as she read the first page her eyes went wide while looking at these numbers. She quickly raised her head and looked at Yet Chen, her trembling finger raised, pointing at him as she stutteringly spoke three words. "You! Your, Your!" 

Ye Chen let out another laugh and pulled the skin mask he had on, off his face. He then pulled the wig he had on his head off as well. What was revealed was an old man who was very familiar to Feng Xi. Lu Tao, one of the most influential businessmen in China. In her past life, this man had owned half of the companies in China. He was a major business tycoon who Feng Xi herself had to fight against while building up the companies for Tang Zhi. 

"Haha! So little lady knows who I am. I owe you an explanation I guess. You see me and Old Fen here go way back. He actually used to work for me as an accountant when he first started out. But this old man was quickly snatched up by others. When I heard he was about to go into retirement I contacted him to see if he would work for me on the side. But this damn Old Man outright refused me saying that he was now working for someone who could make money faster than me!" Lu Tao's face turned sour. 

"So you decided to test me? I am a bit confused as to why you would decide to test me..." Feng Xi was still trying to figure out what was going on. She had come here expecting to buy a failing business not to be tested and then come up with nothing! Feng Xi couldn't help but knit her brow. She knew she couldn't fight against Lu Tao at this time since she had yet to establish herself but what she hated most of all was going away empty handed without even a property to sell! 

Lu Tao looked at the disgruntled look Feng Xi was giving him and smiled while nodding his head. "Mmm! I like your attitude. You think of nothing but how to make a profit while in a meeting. You do not even try to a.s.s kiss when you know who I am either and are still looking for a way to make money. Little Lady, I will not waste your time any longer. The doc.u.ments I just gave you are real. I believe the price is fine as well. If you sign this deal every building on this side of the avenue will be yours." 

Feng Xi looked at the doc.u.ments once more. She read over them and saw that the entire street side was doc.u.mented for the past twenty years and each yearly earnings. Her eyes glowed at the figures but she quickly raised her head and looked at Lu Tao even more confused. "I don't get it. Why would you sell all this? Each of these buildings are making a few hundred million a year."

"That is true but you see the issue is not with the properties but family affairs. There is a power struggle going on in my family between the younger generation. I decided I would rather sell half my companies off than give it to these rift rafts who would rather go out and party than learn about business. So when I heard about you I decided to test you to see if you were up to par. And little lady you have surpassed my expectations by a large amount. 

"Although these companies are very profitable they are also companies I do not wish to see go under. "
