The Rebirth Of Feng Xi

Lu Tao folded his hands together as he looked at Feng Xi. "You see I wish to split the country with someone else. Someone I can work in tandem with which will make it easier to control the young ones in my family. If I were to split the country business world in two they would not be able to live a worry free life. Which is why you could say I am looking for a successor outside the family. As you can see the few hundred million I am asking for is small when compared to the yearly income of the entire side of this street. If you are willing to take up half my empire I can rest assured that the empire I spent years building will be in good hands. The rest of it will be split up between those rugrats who can't even wipe their own asses." 

Feng Xi finally put a smile on her face now understanding what was going on. Lu Tao was actually looking for an heir to his empire but did not want to leave it to people who would just ruin the company. "Mr. Lu… No… this doesn't seem right to say now… I will call you Grandpa Lu from this moment on. Grandpa Lu, I accept your offer but I must warn you...." 

Feng Xi's eyes flashed with a light and her whole aura changed. "I plan to become the leader of the business world. Not just in China but the whole world. China is just a stepping stone for me. So you wouldn't get mad if I..." Feng xi grinned cheekily as she continued: "Stole the companies right out from under those rugrats right?"

"Haha! Good! Ruthless, cunning, and greedy! I love it! Little girl you can do as you please. If they lose the companies that I allot each of them then so be it. Just make sure you take care of this old man so he doesn't become poor!" Lu Tao was all smiles. The more he spoke to Feng Xi the more he became fond of her. She was indeed a good girl. 

"Grandpa Lu does not need to worry. As my grandpa, how could I let you sleep on the streets? If you need anything just ask your new granddaughter she will handle it for you." Feng Xi said with a bright smile. Her sincerity very clear for all to hear. 

Lu Tao smacked Dai Fen who was sitting there stupefied causing him a start as he said: " You hear that I just gained a new granddaughter! " 

After being hit, only then did Dai Fen finally react. "You damn old man are you trying to give me a heart attack! What are you so happy about? She calls me Grandpa too!" 

"Humph! Humph! In the end, you still work for her while I get nothing but the benefits! That just shows you who's favored more!" Lu Tao retorted.

"You!" Dai Fen was at a loss of words! He truly was working for her, what could he say! 

The culprit of this little spat was sitting there watching the whole play, her eyes crescent as he smiled brightly. If it was not for the fact that dangerous times were ahead she would say that her life was headed on the right track.

After signing the first set of papers and saying goodbye to Lu Tao and Dai Fen, Feng Xi decided to head over to the game company. She wanted to see for her own eyes how the company was building up. As she was walking out of the elevator lost in thought she ran into someone. 

Feng Xi found her face buried into a stranger's c.h.e.s.t. She quickly took a few steps back and bowed her head to apologize. But when she raised her head and looked at the young man in front of her she couldn't help but catch her breath. The young man was very handsome. She could say that he was on par with Prince Jin's good looks. Blushing slightly Feng Xi lowered her head and apologized once more before hurriedly getting off the elevator with Mo Luixian and the Qiu sisters in tow.

The young man looked at the retreating figure, his lips turning slightly upwards. "Oh ho? Isn't that..." The young man did not finish his sentence as his smile became more profound. He turned to the man following him into the elevator and said: "Find out everything you know about that girl." 

"Yes, Young Master!" The man answered. 

Feng Xi had no idea, she had just brought upon her more trouble than she ever wanted from this one run in. She was too busy looking at the tall buildings that were to be hers in the next few days after the paperwork was all settled with a smile on her face. She had never expected that Lu Tao who she fought tooth and nail with, in her past life, over a small group of companies was now one of her biggest benefactors in this life.

She immediately texted Prince Jin about it, who responded back in a matter of seconds with one word. "Congratulations!" 

Feng Xi looked at the message and smiled. The word 'Congratulations' was surrounded by party emotes. She poked the phone, smiled, and scrunched her nose as she whispered "Cute!" 

Feng Xi's car pulled up to the sidewalk in front of her game company when she saw a group of people standing outside of it and a bunch of yelling going on. Seeing this Feng Xi knitted her brow and turned to Qiu Bi. "Big Sister Bi can you go check what's going on please." 

"Right away boss!" Qiu Bi quickly got out of the car and pushed through the crowd. A few minutes later she came walking back with an ugly expression on her face. "That man Tang Zhi is here demanding to see you."
