“Where should I go first?”

He asked himself as he crossed the Village gates. After a short moment of indecision, he chose to pay the Chief a visit. As he walked towards Ga Dogu house, he opened the quest window to confirm he indeed satisfied the requirements.

<Hamuru’s illness 3>

✿Hamuru, the village’s best hunter has collapsed due to a certain disease. Ga Dogu, who is not only the village’s Chief but also its doctor, needs your help to concoct Hamuru’s cure. The third ingredient required is the Great Fox King’s Inner Core! Collect the Great Fox King’s Inner Core and take it to Ga Dogu!

Difficulty: E

Quest Reward: ?

Quest Restriction: –

“What might the reward be?”

He wondered as he stared at the question mark next to the quest reward. Judging by his last rewards which were simple leather armor, gloves and boots, it shouldn’t be too precious.

“Oh right! The gloves and boots!”

Myeonghu quickly opened up his inventory and selected the gloves and boots. Now that he thought about it, he had forgotten to take a look at them after having completed the previous quest.

<Leather Gloves [Magic]>

Restrictions: Strength 100
Physical Defense: 20 ~ 30
Strength +10

Gloves made from bear’s fur, they are quite durable and provide bonus Strength.

<Leather Boots [Magic]>
Restrictions: Strength 120
Physical Defense: 30 ~ 40
Strength +20
Boots made from bear’s fur, they are quite durable and provide bonus Strength.

“Wow”

Myeonghu’s face lit up, pleasantly surprised. His expectations hadn’t been too high since the Leather Armor was just average, but the options of the Gloves and Boots were quite attractive.

“I don’t need the Gloves, but the Boots….”

The new gloves were clearly worse than the current pair he was using, but it wasn’t so clear for the Boots, since it was a trade off between Dexterity and Strength. Of course, in the end the decision wasn’t too hard considering his character build, so he quickly made the switch and took a look at his stats.

Name: Myeonghu
Nationality: Helioka [Empire]
Age: 22

HP: 53450
MP: 420
Strength: 2630 [263(+25)] Agility: 15 Stamina: 17 Intelligence: 10 Wisdom: 11

His smile widened as he stared at his stats, but he soon arrived before the Chief’s house, so he closed the window and opened the door.

“Back so soon?”

Ga Dogu got up from his seat to welcome me and I walked up to him and gave him a polite greeting.

“I’ve brought the Inner core.”

Myeonghu took it out from his inventory and placed it on the table. Ga Dogu gasped in surprise seeing him actually produce the quest item.

“You’re incredible! I didn’t expect you to bring it so soon.”

[Quest complete]

The Chief had a knowing smile seeing the expectation of Myeonghu’s face.

‘Just what will you be giving me?’

Although at first he hadn’t had much expectations, the recent rewards of Gloves and Boots were quite nice, so this last reward could only top them.

“Thank you, I’ll now go and concoct the medecin for Hamuru, please wait a moment.”

Ga Dogu stepped into the back room, and Myeonghu had to contain his excitement for a while longer.

“…?”

However minutes turned to hours and the Chief had yet to return. Somewhat impatient, Myeonghu went to knock on the door.

Creeeak!

However, before he could even knock, the door swung open and Ga Dogu walked past him, creating an awkward situation.

“I’m sorry it took me so long to concoct it.”

Myeonghu became embarrassed as his impatience had gotten the best of him. He then turned his gaze towards the medecin in Ga Dogu’s hand.

‘…What?’

A simple potion was held in his large hands. All those ingredients resulted in such a small potion which was supposed to cure Hamuru of his illness.

“You…”

But he was cut off by Ga Dogu as he handed him the potion.

“Could you bring this to Hamuru?”

<Hamuru’s Medecine>

[You Have accepted the Quest]

[You have obtained Special Medecine from Ga Dogu.]

‘Well, I guess it isn’t finished yet.’’

Myeonghu took the potion and waited a while longer to see if there was any other prize, but the Chiefs next words burst his bubble.

“See you again!”

Myeonghu kept up a forced smile until he stepped outside. The Hunter’s house was close to the Chief’s so at least it didn’t take long for him to arrive.

Creeeak!

Opening the door, he walked inside to find the man lying down on his bed, with his son sitting down beside him.

“Hello.”

The son greeted him as he walked into the room and stared at the sickly hunter.

“Cough! you are…”

“The name is Myeonghu.”

He introduced himself to Hamuru which had trouble speaking in between fits of coughing.

“Here is the medicine which the Chief has asked me to bring.”

As he spoke he pulled out the cork from the potion and a medicinal fragrance filled the room.

“Here you are.”

Myeonghu respectfully handed the potion to Hamuru.

[Quest Complete.]

Ignoring the message, he continued to look at Hamuru.

“Hmm.”

Having received the potion, the hunter eyed it warily and wafted in its medicinal smell, before finally downing its content.

Yuck

Hamuru began to twitch and his face contorted in pain. He let out short gasp and grunted to endure the agony, until he finally spat out some black blood. He coughed a couple times after that, but by the time he looked up once again, his sickly look had disappeared.

“The Chief’s medecine is incredible!”

Despite its violent means, the potions results were clearly very effective judging by the hunter’s complexion. Hamuru turned to his son and rubbed his head affectionately, before turning back to Myeonghu.

“Let me greet you properly, my name is Hamuru.”

“I’m Myeonghu.”

“Yes, I’ve heard a lot about you, thank you for collecting the ingredients for the medicine which save my life!”

They smiled at each other until Hamuru spoke softly into his son’s ear.

“Okay”

The son smiled and ran off.

“Please wait a moment.”

“Sure.”

‘Could it be my reward?’

He struggled to control his smile as the son returned carrying a small box.

“Here you go!”

As he opened the box expectantly, inside lay a simple brown bracelet.

“Thank you so much for saving my life, this here is my most precious possession.”

“Thank you.”

[You have received the Earthen Bracelet of Patience.]

‘Oh?’

At first he had been a bit put off by its simple appearance, but the item’s name was quite interesting. Controlling his curiosity, he placed it in his inventory and said his goodbyes. As he stepped outside, he quickly took a look at the bracelet’s stats.

<Earthen Bracelet of Patience [Rare]>

“Wow”

Myeonghu admired his new item. The options were quite nice, especially the fact that it raise his Stamina which he had been worried about.

“Five levels away….”

Although his level wasn’t high enough to equip it right away, levelling for him was currently a piece of cake.

“Let’s go!”

He stowed the bracelet in his inventory and took a look at what quests remained.
