“….”

Myeonghu emerged from the store, he face filled with shock. He looked down at his hand to confirm that he indeed was holding 30 gold.

He thought back to what had just occurred.

As he had walked into the store and handed the Great Fox King Pelt over to Pelun, his eyes had widened in surprise and he had quickly snatched it out of Myeonghu’s hands and gladly handed over 30 gold.

“To think that a single pelt would be worth 30 gold….”

It would depend on the quality, but a bears pelt would be worth a minimum of 20 silvers, meaning that he would need 150 of them to arrive at 30 gold. Yet he was able to earn that much with a single pelt of the Great Fox King.

“Anyways they’re both only one punch”

Myeonghu could finish both Bears and Great Fox Kings with a single punch, but the difference in the prices their loot sold for was so huge.

“I’ll be sure to hunt it again on the way.”

Since he was already planning on hunting bears, he figured he might as well stop by and catch another Great Fox King.

Myeonghu then made his way towards his last remaining quest. As he arrived outside the door, he took out the Fox’s claw and stepped inside.

“…!”

Tilto shocked expression was not a common occurrence, but the sight of The Great Fox King’s Claws in my hand was simply that surprising.

He walked over to the counter where Tilto was waiting.

“You are here”

He had clearly lost his usual cool as he had been the first to talk. Myeonghu smiled seeing his reaction and handed over the claws.

“Here, I’ve obtained the claws you needed from the Great Fox King.

“Ohh!”

[Quest complete]

“Thank you”

[Intimacy with Tilto has Increased.]

He began to smile as he saw an increase in intimacy, but his grin widened from ear to ear as a saw Tilto pull out a familiar looking plain brown bracelet.

‘Could it be?’

He remembered having seen it before.

“Here is your reward for having brought me the claws.”

“Ah, great.”

[You have received the Earthen Bracelet of Patience.]

Having stowed the bracelet in his inventory, Myeonghu looked back up at Tilto, waiting to see if there was anything else. However, the Blacksmith was in his own little world as he stared at the claws he had just obtained.

‘Might as well take the chance to look around at some equipment.’

Myeonghu turned around to have a look at what was for sale. Naturally it was more out of curiosity, since his current Brass Knuckles were more than sufficient.

“Wow…”

He couldn’t help but stare at the armor in admiration. It was in a different league compared to what he was wearing, but of course he couldn’t even satisfy the basic requirements.

“Oh?”

He caught sight of a rather luxurious looking helmet from the corner of his eye. It was very much over the top, embedded with a large ruby the size of a fist.

“What kind of stats would it have?”

“If a Wizard was able to get his hands on that….”

The helm was so good that it would be hard to find anything better, especially that ability to reduce mana costs would be so crucial for Wizards.

“You….”

He heard Tilto call out to him so he turned around.

“Sorry, but could you come back next time?”

Tilto appeared embarrassed as he tried to chase Myeonghu out. It was clear that he couldn’t wait a second longer and really wanted to get to work on those claws.

“Well…”

Myeonghu sighed as he was left alone outside the Weapon shop. He looked down at the 30 gold coins in his pouch, then remembered that he couldn’t use any of the equipment he encountered in the store.

“I guess I should go hunting.”

He made his way through the town square and out of the village gates.

* * * *

“Will it have respawned by now?”

Myeonghu muttered to himself as he arrived out den which he had encountered the Great Fox King last time around. Since it was a boss a monster, he was worried that it might take more that a full day to respawn.

Rawwwrr!

He smiled as he heard a roar from within the cave and shortly after a large fox walked out

Myeonghu ran excitedly, only seeing it as a mountain of treasure.

“Walking gold!”

The Great Fox King seemed confused as it watched Myeonghu close in, but one he came close enough it still struck with its front paw. Myeonghu however didn’t even bother dodging as he took the hit.

Pak!

The Great Fox King’s Claws scratched his shoulder but he ignored it and swung his fist.

Pack!

Wuuu!

[Level Up!]

[Level Up!]

The Great Fox King let out a dying whimper as its body slumped to the ground. Not paying it any heed, Myeonghu was instead focusing on what item he would get.

“Huh?”

Panic began to set in as he couldn’t see anything else beside its Pelt. Thinking he might have missed something, he searched around the corpse thoroughly, but it was indeed the Pelt which was the only drop.

‘Was it because he was on several quests last time?’

“Oh?”

He didn’t have to walk for long before he encountered a bear, and he was surprised how close the den actually was to their territory.

“If only I knew the exact respawn time.”

A small smirk appeared on his face as he approached the unsuspecting bear. It only opened its eyes when my fist was midway and it became enraged.

“Raa…”

It’s roar was cut short as my punch landed and it collapsed on the ground.

The bear didn’t even have time to wake up and be angry as it slumped down to the ground, suffering an unfair death.

Myeonghu’s crooked smile grew as he scooped up the japtem and began searching for more bears.

He had continued hunting bears for quite some time and only took a rest once he saw the message that he had leveled up. He opened his Character page and invested his latest Bonus stats into Strength, before turning towards the Fox cave.

“It should be about now…”

Closing the window, Myeonghu made his way towards the cave, hoping to be greeted by a new Great Fox King.
