Chapter 45 Failed Negotiation

Leo did not expect Black Bear to be this hot-tempered, a single disagreement almost led to war.

But what Leo found more unbelievable was Bucky’s temper. Due to the matters with H.Y.D.R.A. and Minnesota mobs, he was extremely furious.

Bucky was upset when he heard Black Bear’s words. He stepped forward and said to Black Bear, “You this black, ugly, and dumb bear man, how can you say such words?! Hell’s Kitchen is this messy because of people like you and your gang. You should’ve been born decades ago and gotten thrown into World War II’s battlefield. Then you will know how luxurious having peace and stability is and know there’s a spirit called America Spirit. F*ck!”

Black Bear was stunned when began laughing. After laughing, he provoked Bucky, “America Spirit? What’s that? Can it be eaten? What does it taste like? Brother, I can see you are young, why speak like an antique?”

“F*ck, brat, I’m old enough to be your ancestor!”

Bucky was furious and was about to rush up and beat Black Bear. The tense atmosphere on the second floor escalated. Every Black Bear Gang member was prepared to take down Bucky.

At this critical juncture, Barno came up to mediate the situation. He saw how powerful Leo and Bucky were. He was confident that with his twenty-plus brothers with a gun each, it was not difficult for them to deal with Leo and Bucky.

However, Barno knew even with this many people, it was uncertain how many would survive in the end!

Barno stood in front of Black Bear and gestured to his brothers to not pull out their guns. He faced Leo and Bucky. “The two of you don’t be impulsive first and calm down. The two of you helped our Black Bear Gang kill Poison Wold and gave up the benefits you have to us. Our Black Bear Gang will not treat you badly. Although I don’t know how Monkey and Crow had offended you two, I can promise everything they took from you our Black Bear Gang with return…”

“S*it! What happened to our bar? Why had it been swept by a machine gun?! Crow, quickly go upstairs and check!”

Suddenly, a man’s loud shouts interrupted Barno speaking. Soon, footsteps could be heard from the stairs and another man shouted in fear, “Monkey, Erby died on the stairs! Let’s just leave here and run! Saving our lives is more important!”

Leo promptly judged it was the two thieves who had just returned when he heard the two sentences that came from downstairs.

Moreover, what was more baffling was the thief called Crow said Erby who was on the stairs had actually died! Leo clearly remembered Erby was still breathing when he knocked him unconscious.

But there was no point in dwelling on whether he had died or not.

“Erby died” was the fuse being lit, Leo and Black Bear both sides simply would not give any explanation and there was no time to explain.

In an instant, Leo understood the direction of following things. Thus, he decided to seize the opportunity to strike first.

The handgun on Leo’s waist automatically levitated to Leo’s hand. He shot three times in a row at the group of members while shouting, “Bucky, downstairs!”

Leo’s shot was too decisive and his aim was accurate. Three Black Bear Gang members immediately fell down before the rest reacted and began looking for cover.

Leo naturally understood the meaning of hitting where it hurt the most. Among his three shots, one of them was aiming at Black Bear’s head. However, Barno was standing in front of Black Bear. Leo could only headshot Barno letting Black Bear survive.

Black Bear hid behind the sofa and hastily pulled his gun and led the rest to shoot at Leo and Bucky.

But Leo and Bucky’s speed far exceeded ordinary people’s as though a maxed-speed train heading downstairs.

On the way downstairs, they even met Crow and Monkey who were preparing to escape. Crow and Monkey were scared out of their wits when they heard gunfire on the second floor and ran out in a panic.

Everything that happened was because of these two sneaky thieves. Or else Leo and Bucky would be resting on the bed in Harvest Hotel.

As if meeting enemies opened old wounds, although Monkey and Crow did not know when they had messed with the two demons rushing over, this did not prevent Leo and Bucky from sending Monkey and Crow flying away with a punch each.

Monkey and Crow flew for several meters before skidding for another five meters more across the floor of the first floor. The two of them died instantly under the punch leaving a long trail of blood.

Leo and Bucky sprinted out of the Pure Love Bar entrance and saw a black pick-up. It was the car Leo saw on the security footage in the Harvest Hotel.

Leo headed to the trunk of the pick-up and saw his Lightweight Power Arms Type VI and other items were inside and could not help to be overjoyed.

“Leo, the key’s not in here. The car can’t be started, what should we do now?”

When Leo was checking the items in the trunk, Bucky smashed the car window. He habitually asked Leo when he did not find the key in the car. But without waiting for Leo to answer, Bucky continued, “How about we just run while holding the stuff? Or we fight back and wipe out Black Bear Gang and make another lucrative earning?”

Leo did not care about other matters as long as Leo could get the hard disk back. Leo held onto the principle the lesser the problem, the better since his previous life and was preparing to leave with Bucky.

Just as Leo picked up the backpack with the hard disk and laptop in it, he saw the Black Bear Gang’s people aiming at them with guns on the second floor.

In the nick of time, Leo dived under the car and rolled to the other side. Bucky’s reaction was not slow and was even faster than Leo’s and dived under the car too.

The gang members on the second floor focused their fire and the bullets pierced the window and rained onto the pick-up. The firepower was fierce and Leo and Bucky could only use the pick-up as cover not daring to venture out.

“Those two behind the car, aren’t you arrogant and looked down on us? And you’re still talking about the American Spirit. Hmph! If you have an American spirit, don’t hide like a coward. Why don’t you come out?! Let’s see if this Black Bear can burst your dog-head or not!”

Leo and Bucky did not bother with Black Bear’s provocation and kept hiding behind the car. The firepower from Black Bear Gang became more powerful as some of them had switched to assault rifles.

In order to have a larger protective area, Bucky reached out his left hand and pulled hard on the side of the pick-up, flipping the whole vehicle over on its side.

Both of them were not worried about the pick-up being destroyed by Black Bear Gang because how could the fuel tank be that easy to explode? All of those were lies from the movies.

With a larger protective area, Leo and Bucky were not afraid of the attacks from the second floor. It was easy for both of them to leave. Just let Bucky carry the whole pick-up as a cover and leave.

The reason both of them were not leaving was that Bucky was persuading Leo to wipe out the Black Bear Gang on the second floor.
