Chapter 46 Blame Oneself?!

“Leo, I know you took two high-explosive grenades when leaving Base 033. Give me one of them, it’s enough to exterminate all those bastards on the second floor.”

“Bucky, that’s not good, right? After all, there are more than twenty lives upstairs!”

“Why didn’t you care about human lives when you shot someone out of nowhere just now? An hour ago, it was you who asked me to kill the Poison Wolf?!”

Bucky confusingly asked, “Leo, you’re not such a sympathetic person in my impression. Why this time you don’t want to eliminate the Black Bear Gang? Why did you suddenly become the same as Daredevil, being too overcautious?!”

“My overcautiousness is different from Daredevil. I let you kill Poison Wolf because he was asking for trouble and he deserved it. But now, we’ve found our lost items. It’s useless for Hell’s Kitchen even if you wiped out Black Bear Gang.”

Leo paused for a bit and continued, “In everyone’s eyes, Hell’s Kitchen is a chaotic and disordered place. Because you wanted to bring stability back to this place, you loathe mobs and wished to exterminate them. Black Bear Gang and Poison Wolf Gang coexisted in Mingde Street. It was fine for us to kill Poison since Black Bear Gang is still here as a deterrent. However, if we wipe out Black Bear Gang, not only will Mingde Street’s surroundings become more unstable, but other gangs will be vying for this place. It will make this place even more disordered and this is not what we are pursuing. I don’t care how many mob scumbags die, but I’m worried about people like the hotel owner who are trying to survive and die from the conflict.”

“But this can’t continue in Hell’s Kitchen, right? Someone has to break the stalemate! My current goal is to clear up all mobs in the entire America. I notice New York City is the root of the underground world’s constant growth. I don’t have any long-term plan right now, but from the looks of it, directly wiping these mobs with brute force is the most efficient way.”

Leo fell deep into his thoughts when he heard what Bucky said. In his plan, both of them were just here for identification. He was not preparing to meddle with the strife between the mobs in Hell’s Kitchen.

However, everything was not according to his plan. Leo tried to avoid trouble, but the troubles kept looking for him.

Leo and Bucky were powerful and bold, thus not afraid of these issues. But they grew up in different environments and their way of handling troubles was naturally different.

Leo was a pacifist in his previous life. He did not want to cause a huge problem and implicated innocents.

However, Bucky lived in an era of constant war. Numerous innocents had lost their lives to the point he was numb to it. Therefore, he did not consider the innocents and just wanted to clear the root of the problem in one sweep.

Leo was uncertain whether Bucky’s thought was correct or not. However, Bucky had given a clear solution while Leo was still hesitating.

After some consideration, Leo decided and gave Bucky a high-explosive grenade.

“Bucky, since you’re determined to solve the problem with America’s mobs, then everything involving the mobs in the future will be left for you to settle. I just hope you can try to avoid involving innocent civilians.” Leo said.

Bucky accepted the grenade he gave and patted his shoulder. “Leo, I feel this era of people is being too overly cautious. They’re restrained by too many things that’s why the mobs were rampant. Don’t worry, just leave it to me. I’m a professional at this kind of thing.”

Leo slapped Bucky’s hand away as the Mechanical Force began surging. The Lightweight Power Arms Type VI that dropped on the ground was attached to him.

This piece of equipment was severely damaged when battling with Sinthea. But after Leo’s brief fixing, it was enough to deal with those ordinary mobs.

Bucky could not feel the Mechanical Force, but he saw it fly and attached itself to Leo’s body. This was not the first time he saw this. Since he did not ask about it in the past, he now also chose to remain silent.

After Leo finished donning the equipment, Bucky said, “Later I’ll throw this grenade onto the second floor. After it explodes, we will storm to the second floor to finish the remaining people and take our loot. Then, we escaped before the cops returned.”

Leo nodded and Bucky pulled out the safety pin of the grenade and threw the grenade like a cannonball onto Pure Love Bar’s second floor.

At the moment, Black Bear was standing on the second floor with an assault rifle in his hand shooting at the pick-up while occasionally letting out a few curses.

Black Bear suddenly saw a ball-shaped thing fly from behind the pick-up and reached the second floor hitting the minion beside him. It bounced onto the wall, then the ground a few times before rolling to his feet.

He was horrified and despaired when he saw it was a grenade by his feet. Everything happened in an instant as the high-explosive grenade had a three to five seconds delay.

Before he could utter anything, the grenade let out a deafening explosion. He could not even figure out who he had offended even in his death.

In Hell’s Kitchen, the fight between mobs only used guns and knives. Why did these two demons grenade instead?!

Just as the explosion sounded, Leo and Bucky grabbed onto the pick-up’s trunk. The next moment, a huge shockwave came but both of them had extraordinary strength, they easily endured the impact.

After the explosion subsided, they ran a few steps and climbed to the bar’s second floor with the help of the wall.

The bar’s second floor was a total mess. More than twenty bodies were stuck on the wall and Black Bear was the closest to the explosion, his whole body was blown apart.

Bucky scanned the surroundings and saw there were no survivors. Everyone on the second floor has died.

“Leo, let’s search for any loot left and escape before the cops arrive!”

However, Leo stood motionless while looking at Polly’s body. Bucky came over and looked at Polly who died with a terrified expression before saying in disdain, “This w*ore can only blame herself. If not for her snitching, nothing will happen tonight. We will be sleeping in the hotel and Mingde Street will still be bustling and be a nightless street. Poison Wolf and Black would not have believed they died because of this insignificant Polly.”

Leo as a keyboard warrior in his previous life felt Bucky was wrong. If not for them coming to Mingde Street tonight, all of this would not have happened. Thus, how could everything be pushed onto this prostitute?!

But after some thought, Leo knew all of this happened because of the conflict of interest between the two gangs. They had reached the tipping point and all that was left was a fuse to be lit.

It was fortunate Leo and Bucky were the ones who came. If ordinary people came to Pure Love Bar to make an identification, perhaps they would have been caught in the war between these two gangs.

Thus, Polly was guilty of involving the interests of the two gangs. As Bucky said, she could only blame herself for her death.

With this thought, Leo stopped looking at Polly and followed Bucky to search for loot.

Five minutes later, Leo and Bucky had scoured the whole bar. Bucky placed all the wealth inside a box before lifting the box and jumping down with Leo.

Leo approached the pick-up and rummaged out the box of jewelry. He grabbed the box and left Mingde Street with Bucky.
