Chapter 251 The Furious King T’Chaka

After “dealing” with the workers in the warehouse, there were finally no more obstacles in sight.

Waving his hand, Leo removed several Forwarding Bags from his Storage Belt and enlarged them, opening their mouths. As the Mechanical Force surged, the neatly stacked Vibranium began to move.

Wherever he went, the Vibranium automatically flew into the bags.

He filled one Forwarding Bag and closed it before proceeding to fill another. It took him a minute to pack the numerous tubes of Vibranium. Considering the time he took to “deal” with the obstacles just moments ago, the whole process took less than two minutes in total.

Meanwhile, outside of the cave entrance, the Wakandan warrior stood on high alert and oblivious to anything amiss.

Seizing the moment, Leo took advantage of the time gap and swiftly flew into another warehouse, replicating his previous actions and taking numerous tubes of Vibranium once more.

On to the third one.

But by the time he reached the fourth warehouse, there was no longer enough time to take another. The reason was that some of the workers from the first warehouse had already returned, driving forklifts.

As the workers from the Mining tribe arrived at the fourth warehouse, their initial reaction was one of utter bewilderment!

Just ten minutes ago, as the workers drove away on the forklift, the warehouse was still brimmed with mesmerizing hues of blue and purple of Vibranium. But now, ten minutes later, why did it become barren and desolate?

It was impossible!

Existential questions flooded the workers’ minds, stunning their thoughts. It took them more than ten seconds to finally comprehend what had occurred.

The Vibranium had been stolen!

The next moment, one of them immediately relayed the incident to the guards at the entrance through the Kimoyo Beads on his wrist. Without delay, all the guards rushed toward the warehouses from the entrance.

On the other hand, Leo, having just finished clearing the fourth warehouse and was about to move on to the fifth one, spotted the guards sprinting towards the warehouses. If he were to break into the fifth warehouse now, it would undoubtedly be much more troublesome than before, possibly resulting in the need to kill several Wakandans.

Since he had already cleared four warehouses and accumulated over tubes of Vibranium worth trillions of dollars, he considered this to be more than enough for him to use for several decades. So, he reckoned it was time to call it quits.

The remaining Vibranium would serve as a reward for the Wakandans who had labored as miners for him over the past century!

Thus, he abandoned the idea of a fifth warehouse and flew directly out of the Vibranium mine. He soared towards the entrance of the mine and headed toward a plain to the south after making sure of the direction.

His flight path wasn’t the closest direction to the “Azure Firmament” as he wasn’t ready to leave just yet. Aside from the Vibranium and the heart-shaped herbs, there were still things in Wakanda that he found worth getting.

Currently, Wakanda was still engulfed in the night, with the moon not yet retiring and dutifully illuminating the ground. And deep within the mine, hidden from the moonlight, the guards swiftly investigated the areas they were responsible for. Then they hastily exchanged and communicated information within their virtual network group.

The people of Wakanda had no habit of shifting blame and the captain of the guards, named Arabu, quickly recognized the severity of the situation. It was no longer within his jurisdiction. Without any hesitation, he immediately used the Kimoyo Beads to call the Royal Urgent Channel.

This was clearly an unauthorized call, one that would be impossible in any other country, and was immediately answered by the King of Wakanda himself.

Instantly, Arabu promptly relayed all the information he possessed.

“Your Majesty, this is Arabu, the captain of the armed guard in the mine. We have verified that four Vibranium warehouses within the mine, No. 1, 3, 4, and 7, have been invaded by unidentified enemies. A total of 235,632 standard tubes of Vibranium have been lost, along with the destruction of forty-five reconnaissance drones and fifty-three maintenance bots. We also learned that a hundred and eight miners are missing and their Kimoyo Beads have all been rendered inoperable.”

As T’Chaka, the King of Wakanda, traversed through forests toward the Temple of Panther God, he received urgent military news from the mine and nearly choked on his breath within his helmet!

“Your Majesty, this concludes the report. I humbly await your orders.”

King T’Chaka was momentarily dazed, until the guard captain named Arabu urged him once more, snapping him out of his stupor.

Deciding not to continue running, he simply squatted on a huge rock and contacted the Dora Milaje, the royal bodyguards.

Soon enough, a real-time holographic image of a shining and dark-skinned woman’s head appeared before him. He addressed her right away,  “Makaba, dispatch the fastest aircraft to my location right away.”

Makaba swiftly obeyed the command and set off.

At that moment, T’Chaka finally realized that his running speed was no match for an aircraft. Then, he used the holographic screen and added both Badu and Arabu into a group, commencing a group video call.

The real-time holographic projections of the three individuals immediately materialized, capturing their facial expressions with remarkable precision.

Suppressing his anger, T’Chaka spoke in a solemn tone, questioning, “What on earth are you two doing?! One claims that half of the herbs in the temple are gone, suggesting it was dug up by an excavator, yet no trace of the culprit has been found! The other one reports the sudden disappearance of over two hundred thousand tubes of Vibranium from the warehouses, and once again, no sign of the culprit can be found! The herbs and Vibranium are the pillars of Wakanda. And now both have been stolen in large quantities, yet the enemies remain elusive. Are you two playing games with me?!”

“Your Majesty, this is the truth. I’m currently at the temple and I implore you to witness it for yourself.” Badu activated the recording function of the Kimoyo Beads, sharing the video feed with the group. The screen displayed a three-meter-deep pit with massive excavation marks along its edges.

Simultaneously, with a hint of anger in his voice, Badu stated, “Your Majesty, I’ Badu, swear upon my father’s name, that when I left the temple four hours ago, everything was normal.”

King T’Chaka frowned as confronted with the undeniable evidence of a deep pit excavated by a large-scale machinery, he had no choice but to believe it.

After Badu had proven his innocence, Arabu hurriedly chimed in, “Your Majesty, I, Arabu, also swear upon my father’s name that fifteen minutes ago, all four of the warehouses were intact. However, now they have mysteriously been robbed.”

As T’Chaka learned more details about the missing Vibranium, his eyes popped out in disbelief and he exclaimed, “Are you suggesting that within these fifteen minutes, while you were guarding the entrance, you saw nothing, yet over two hundred thousand tubes of Vibranium, along with the miners, vanished right under your noses?”

Arabu’s expression turned grim as the disappearance of the Vibranium was truly perplexing. However, the fact remained unchanged and he had no choice but to reluctantly nod his head.

T’Chaka knew Arabu wouldn’t dare deceive him, and this knowledge weighed heavily on his mind. Thus, the Vibranium had truly evaporated into thin air, leaving no trace to follow.

Just moments ago, he was still engaging in a fierce fight with the H.Y.D.R.A., decimating dozens of their grunts with a single strike of his Black Panther prowess and relishing in his triumph. But in less than twenty minutes, he had received two devastating pieces of news.

Not only had they lost half of their herb reserves, but they had also been robbed of nearly a century’s worth of Vibranium stockpiles. It made Wakanda like a half-destroyed nation.

T’Chaka’s emotions were tumultuous as he gritted his teeth, rose to his feet, and clenched his fist, roaring in anger.

“Investigate! I demand a thorough investigation to uncover who is responsible, whether it be a single individual or a group of them! Sound the highest-level alarms, mobilize our entire population, activate all land sensors, and send every aircraft into the sky for patrols. Search every crook and cranny, we must find them!”
