Chapter 252 Aircraft

TL: Kyous

While T’Chaka was raging on, the mastermind behind the scenes, Leo, arrived at his destination, the Wakandan Military Air Base.

It was where the Wakandan trained their pilots, conducted research, and manufactured the aircraft, including passenger shuttles, reconnaissance drones, maintenance bots, and fighter jets.

Anything that could fly was researched and manufactured here.

Leo had visited this facility a few days ago to learn their technology, and as he had expected, Wakanda’s flight technology had already reached the space level.

The aircraft that Wakanda manufactured could effortlessly soar beyond the Earth. And according to the records of Wakandan Military Air Base, they had even easily accomplished moon landings and Mars expeditions over a century ago.

He also believed that if the Wakandans were provided with a comprehensive star map, they could venture out of the solar system and explore the entire universe, and this was assuming that they possessed a warp engine.

Otherwise, they would be unable to warp even if they had discovered a warp point. Depending solely on aircraft that couldn’t even reach light speed, they would utterly fail to make it to the nearest uninhabited planet before starving.

But let’s return to the main topic at hand.

Leo had come to this air base to take advantage of the situation and acquire a few aircraft that were capable of directly flying into outer space.

Although he had already mastered the blueprints of more than one aircraft and possessed the ability to independently manufacture them, time was running out.

It was already late 1994, and Christmas was just two days away. There were only a few days left until 1995. According to the storyline, Captain Marvel would return to Earth in 1995.

Since Leo failed to recall the exact date of her return, even if Captain Marvel were to arrive in late December 1995, allowing him a full year, he believed he could not construct a fully functional aircraft entirely from scratch.

Thus, he could only choose to continue taking things from Wakanda.

A moment of silence for Wakanda.

He planned to take advantage of Captain Marvel’s absence and circle Earth a few times with the aircraft. Including his luck and calculation, he might just find the Kree spaceship that was left behind by Mar-Vell. Then, he could use this opportunity to be the first to seize the Tesseract. Or else, once Captain Marvel returned, it was uncertain who would ultimately obtain the Tesseract.

Despite Leo considered himself to be powerful, the power system in the Marvel Universe defied conventional reasoning. Whether or not his Viper Mark VIII could withstand a punch from Captain Marvel, which was capable of piercing through spaceships, was a highly debatable question until they clashed for real.

However, he wasn’t willing to test it out. One wrong move could cost him his life, and the likelihood of his demise was almost guaranteed.

That was why obtaining the Tesseract first remained his priority.

Consequently, acquiring the Wakandan aircraft was a surefire route to his success.

Meanwhile, the furious King T’Chaka had activated the highest-level alert in Wakanda, plugging the nation into a frenzy. Except for the Jabari tribe, who was still playing their games up in the mountains, all Wakandans were busily moving.

As the most advanced aerial combat facility in Wakanda, the Military Air Base was bustling with activity. Unmanned drones took off from the base, following predetermined patrol trajectories. The sensors of each drone were operating at maximum capacity as they flew in all directions.

Apart from that, the Wakandan Air Force soldiers were lining up in a long line, sprinting within the base. Under unified command, they found their respective aircraft and took off into the sky, commencing the search operation.

Even though using fighter jets for a full-scale search was akin to using a cannon to kill a mosquito, no objections were raised by the air force soldiers. Deep inside, they all harbored a strong desire to locate the scoundrel who robbed the herbs and the Vibranium and swiftly eliminated them with overwhelming force.

Since Wakanda had a limited area and King T’Chaka’s order to search only within the shield, the search area became even smaller. Thus, there wasn’t a need to mobilize the few spaceships capable of flying into outer space. They remind motionlessly stored in the warehouse, gathering dust.

On the other hand, the instigator of the chaos in Wakanda, Leo, had silently infiltrated the warehouse where the spaceships were stored while the entire nation of Wakanda launched a manhunt to capture him.

There were a total of three spaceships that could fly into outer space inside the warehouse. A huge one, and two small ones.

The two smaller ships were designed for long-distance voyages, the same type that Wakandans used to land on the moon over a century ago. The huge one, on the other hand, was more frequently utilized as a cargo carrier. It served as Wakanda’s vessel for launching satellites.

And right now the warehouse where the spaceships were stored was void of people with only a few working surveillance cameras present.

Leo had visited this warehouse multiple times and had long familiarized himself with its layout. Evading the blind spots of the surveillance cameras, he quickly entered the interior of the spaceship.

Standing within the narrow gap of the spaceship, he waved his hand and retrieved a silver metallic disc from his Storage Belt. Enlarging it, he gently pressed it against the metal shell of the spaceship.

The edges of the metallic disc immediately shone with a faint light, accompanied by a subtle mechanical sound. It firmly adhered to the spaceship’s metal shell. Akin to placing timed explosives, Leo carefully positioned one disc after another, moving on to the next spot until all three spaceships were fully covered with the metal discs.

Each of the smaller ships had 49 discs stuck to them, while the huge ship had a total of 201. The positions of the discs were meticulously calculated by him, and it took him a full three hours to determine their precise locations.

And these metal discs were Pym Particles Emitters, which Leo specifically created for the sole purpose of successfully taking the three spaceships. With these pre-located and accurately installed emitters, he could instantly shrink all three ships and carry them away.

Now that the installation of the emitters was done, he wasn’t in a rush to take action and instead, he flew into the spaceship’s interior. Relying on the intelligence he had gathered, he skillfully dismantled all the positioning modules within each of the three spaceships.

Then, he exited the spaceship and disabled all eighteen surveillance cameras in the warehouse right away. With that done, he surged his Mechanical Force and activated “Mechanical Force – Relay”, remotely activating the Pym Particle Emitters.

With the “Mechanical Force – Relay” at his disposal, the remote controller he prepared beforehand was tossed aside.

The emitters sprang to life. While each emitter had a limited range of effects, the coordinated efforts of multiple emitters perfectly encompassed the spaceships, mirroring the effects of Pym Particles.

And the next moment, the three spaceships shrank in the blink of an eye. The huge ones became fist-sized, while the smaller ones were no larger than thumbs. They floated in midair, ready for freefall.

Leo speedily flew over, grabbed the three spaceships, and stowed them away in his Storage Belt. In a fraction of a second, he flew out of the warehouse.

Concurrently, the duty personnel in the Military Air Base’s control room quickly noticed that all the cameras in the warehouse had been simultaneously destroyed. They immediately dispatched a team of fully armed soldiers to investigate the situation.

The soldiers assigned to assess the situation were well aware of what was stored in the warehouse. But when they entered the warehouse, they were dumbfounded.

The warehouse doors were intact, and there were no holes in the ceiling. But where were the three enormous spaceships?! Had they vanished into thin air?!

They immediately reported the situation to the control, and a rapid discussion occurred. In less than two minutes, the news reached T’Chaka’s ears, who had just arrived at the Temple of Panther God with an aircraft.

Upon hearing the news, T’Chaka went mad with disbelief.

He realized that an extraordinary entity had infiltrated Wakanda, but for now, the Wakandans had no idea of the true form of this entity. They were unaware of how it had managed to steal numerous massive objects from Wakanda, nor did they understand its method.

Perhaps it was a dimensional portal straight out of a fantasy novel?

Or perhaps it was a shrinking device from a sci-fi novel?

Regardless of the nature of this person or object, they poised destructive power. If its target were the people of Wakanda, the consequences would be unimaginable.

And now, T’Chaka had no idea of the true intention behind this mysterious entity! Panic started to spread within his heart.
