Chapter 166 There’s Someone Else?!

Leo using his Mechanical Force to unlock the door was equivalent to using the key to unlock it. So, the alarm system was virtually meaningless and not even a sound rang. He marched into the house, not forgetting to close the door just like entering his own house.

Under the illumination of moonlight, he sized up the surroundings. The furniture of the house was rather plain. Entering the house, there was a small living room with a table and two chairs. Leaning against the wall was a sofa.

Further in the house was a tightly shut room. Leo opened the door and it was a bedroom. Inside the bedroom were several male clothes lying around. It seemed like this was Hank Pym’s room. However, he didn’t have the hobby of prying others’ privacy. So, after a quick check, making sure no one was in the room, he immediately closed the door.

But just as he closed the door, he subconsciously frowned. Because through his rough examination, he realized a problem. The living room and the bedroom were too clean. As far as he knew, Hank Pym had remained in Pym Technologies for almost two weeks and his daughter didn’t return in these two weeks. Yet the living room and bedroom didn’t seem like being left alone for a dozen days.

One should know this house was quite old, at least an age of decade. If this kind of house was left unattended, dust piled up easily. Yet the current floor neither had a single trace of dust nor hair, as if it was being cleaned recently.

Leo subconsciously thought, ‘There’s someone else in the house?!’

He swiftly entered the kitchen at the back and carefully scanned the whole kitchen. The kitchen sink was very dry as though water hadn’t flowed through for several days. The odd thing was, the kitchen was spotless as well. How puzzling. Ignoring the dust, even the most common spiders, cockroaches, and ants were absent in this house!

‘Wait, ants?!’ Leo suddenly felt he ignored something and instantly recalled the details of the “Ant-Man”.

Didn’t Hank Pym possess the ability to control and train ants?! When he shrunk down with the suit, he could ride the ants and enlarge the ants, letting them move stuff for him. He was able to train the enlarged ants to assist him in welding the equipment.

Then it was natural he could let the ants help him clean the room! Even let the ants monitor the house for him!

Thinking of this, Leo instantly turned vigilant. He initially believed he successfully infiltrated Pym’s residence silently. But now, it was possible that he was exposed!

Nevertheless, Leo was a courageous and powerful person. It was just a couple of ants, he didn’t put them in his eyes. Otherwise, the probability of the surroundings remaining tranquil was next to zero. For certain, Pym prepared countermeasures all over the house. Yet neither weapons nor enemies appeared and this further reinforced Leo’s speculation.

After that, Leo didn’t prepare to waste any more time and hurriedly concentrated on his objective. Right below the staircase was an unlocked door. Opening the door and it was the staircases leading to the basement.

Striding down, he reached the end of the stair and faced another wooden door.

Leo repeated what he did before. After using his Mechanical Force to unlock the door, he realized behind the wooden door was another alloy door with a passcode lock. Regardless, he could view this kind of door clearly with his Mechanical Force Vision. Thus, he reached out to the door as if it was nothing, and the door was immediately opened.

Opening the door, he walked into the basement. Once entered, the lights in the basement switched on automatically. Leo’s attention was immediately attracted by a vault with the name “Carbondale” carved into it. This was the exact vault where Hank Pym stored his Ant-Man Suit.

However, he wasn’t in a rush to unlock the vault. Instead, he swiftly circled the basement. Based on his memory of “Ant-Man”, he vaguely remembered the existence of a secret lab filled with surveillance monitors in the basement. It was the place where Hank Pym produced Pym Particles.

After Leo finished examining, he failed to discover anything even though he used the Mechanical Force – Insight as well.

Then, this showed that the time was still early. Pym had yet to build the secret lab in his basement. Nonetheless, Leo wasn’t too disappointed by it as his target was the Ant-Man Suit, other items were secondary. It didn’t matter at all.

Hence, without further ado, Leo marched toward the vault as his Mechanical Force circulated, activating Mechanical Force – Insight. All of a sudden, he realized the vault’s outer case was too thick and its inner structure was too large and complicated. Under the Mechanical Force Vision, he couldn’t see all the details within it. As a result, he wasn’t able to accurately open the vault using Mechanical Force.

Regardless, this wasn’t a hindrance to Leo. Besides using Mechanical Force and Mechanical Force VIsion to swiftly lockpick, there was still another method. Albeit slightly troublesome, it was an effective method to lockpick.

Thus, Leo surged his Mechanical Force, focusing on the vault before him as he activated Mechanical Force Analysis.

In just a minute, Leo had grasped all the minute details of Carbondale Vault from scratch. The passcode for the vault was even included as well. But Leo no longer required the passcode. With Mechanical Force circulating in his palms, he waved at the vault and the structure within it began moving automatically.

The vault was successfully unlocked. Its structure worked in accordance with its preset rules. Following the creaking noises, the vault slowly opened. But the vault’s opening speed was too slow and Leo impatiently reached out his hand to pull the vault open.

All of a sudden, he sensed as his extended right arm turned into a fist, ruthlessly swung behind him,

A huge ant’s skull was crushed by Leo’s punch. Green liquids splattered across the floor and two hard and sharp mandibles fell on the ground, lustering in a dark glow.

Looking at his right hand, Leo frantically shook his hand but the liquid was still stuck on his hand no matter how frantic he shook! So, he activated Vibranium Defensive Runes and the green liquid on the armor’s fist finally fell off.

After that, Leo fixed his eyes on the ant on the ground.

The ant was half a meter in height and almost two meters in length. It was the ant enlarged by Pym Particles. This type of ant possessed a pair of sharp mandibles and enormous strength. A single of it was on par with at least two to three well-trained ordinary people. Of course, under the circumstance where ordinary people had no firearm on them.

But it met Leo. It was just like an ordinary ant, possessing no threat.

Ants are arthropods, so they don’t have a spine. Every part of their body is controlled by the central nerve.

Therefore, when this ant’s head was smashed by Leo, its body was running around the basement. Quite a horrifying scene.

And Leo fired an energy cannon at it, sending this ant to its maker!
