Chapter 165 Infiltrating Pym’s Residence

Perhaps Leo was too engrossed in his thoughts, he didn’t respond to Fury’s words for a while. Fury then began urging, “Hey, Leo. Are you listening to me?”

Leo snapped out of his thought and hurriedly revealed an apologetic smile.

“Forget it, let’s stop talking about this unimportant stuff.” Fury stuffed down his final bite of burger. “Let’s talk about your plan first.”

Leo nodded and cast the issue with Pym Particles aside, focusing on discussing the plan to damage Pierce with Fury. The general direction of the plan was decided by him and he described the rough outline of his plan. After receiving Fury’s agreement, they started ironing out the details of the plan.

It took an hour before they finally finalized the plan. As for the implementation of the plan, it was set for the morning of the day after tomorrow.

After finalizing the plan, Leo impatiently shifted the conversation back to Dr. Pym, “Fury, I’m very interested in Dr. Pym personally. You’ve been monitoring him and Pym Technologies for a year, you must know him very well. Why don’t you tell me about it?”

Fury nodded. Since there was nothing wrong with it, he answered, “Hank Pym originally was a biochemist and one of the S.H.I.E.L.D.’s founders as well. He researched and invented the magical Pym Particles, but he kept the formula tightly and didn’t allow any form of leakage. It should be in 1987 when Pym and his wife were carrying out a mission. An accident happened and based on my knowledge, his wife passed away. This matter affected Pym greatly and in 1989, some of the S.H.I.E.L.D.’s top brass attempted to steal Pym Particles’ formula. In a fit of anger, Pym left S.H.I.E.L.D. and founded Pym Technologies in San Francisco. However, part of S.H.I.E.L.D. is unwilling to let him go and thus created a monitoring squad, staying here to monitor Pym and his company. Of course, both of us know that those unwilling are H.Y.D.R.A. spies. A group of maggots within S.H.I.E.L.D.!”

Fury had treated Leo as a loyal comrade, thus the detailed explanation. However, all of these were things Leo already knew of. What he wished to know was trivial things in Pym’s daily life.

So, Leo pressed on, “How’s Pym doing these past years?”

“Decent, I suppose.” Fury answered, “His company just started four years ago, which is still considered new. However, his company’s efficiency is not bad. He certainly will become a millionaire with it. But he is currently rather busy. Not only is he working hard, but also taking care of his fourteen years old daughter by himself. Kids around this age are in their rebellious phase, especially those without mothers, who are even more problematic. His daughter is one of them and his relationship with her isn’t harmonious at all… And who knows what the hell is Pym thinking? He sent her daughter to a boarding school two months ago…”

Fury shook his head, evidently pessimistic about Pym’s elderly life. Fury wasn’t certain why Pym did that, but Leo had some inklings about it.

Pym intended to accumulate his wealth swiftly. Then, in a financially free life, he wanted to focus on researching matters regarding the quantum realm, attempting to save his wife who was her daughter’s mother too. However, his personality became aloof when he lost his soulmate and was deceived by S.H.I.E.L.D. Even to his daughter, he was unwilling to provide an explanation. Naturally, Pym had his hardships but it wasn’t enough for him to tell others. One could only be sympathetic to a parent’s heart.

Regardless, Leo wasn’t sympathetic towards Pym at all. After all, this old man would still receive an envious happy ending! The fruits of Pym’s labors bloomed years later, so why should Leo sympathize with him now?!

What Leo was more concerned about was how to get the Pym Particles’ formula from Pym to increase his strength.

Therefore, Leo said, “If that’s the case, I’d like to pay Hank Pym a visit. Fury, do you know where Pym is living right now? Well, I have a tech company in New York as well, maybe the two of us can have a study exchange.”

Fury certainly didn’t buy Leo’s poor excuse of “study exchange”, but since he told Leo this much, he didn’t mind telling a bit more, “Pym has a house in the San Francisco Bay Area. But ever since her daughter was sent to the boarding school, he rarely returned there. Most of the time, he stays in Pym Technologies. If you want to pay him a visit, I suggest trying the company.”

Then, Fury added, “Leo, Hank Pym had made great contributions to our country. So, please don’t trouble him too much.”

“Fury, you’re being paranoid. I really want to pay him a simple visit. Do I look like an unscrupulous, good-for-nothing person?” Leo replied with a smile.

Fury nodded and left Hank Pym’s house and company’s address for Leo before taking his leave. According to the plan, he should be contacting his friends in the army and the elders of S.H.I.E.L.D. This mission was urgent and the time was limited.

After Fury left, Leo took the last bite of his burger before cleaning the rubbish. Then, he drove away.

Night blanketed the sky, but Leo hadn’t left San Francisco yet. Instead, he was silently hovering in the air in Viper Mark V. It was agreeable weather as the moon was round and the stars shone brightly. He was admiring the scenery before him while contemplating his next movements.

Obviously, he wouldn’t pay Hank Pym a visit at Pym Technologies. It was just an excuse for Fury. His ultimate motive was still the Pym Particles. Based on the “Ant-Man” movie from his past life, after Pym left S.H.I.E.L.D., Pym locked the Ant-Man Suit in a vault in his house’s basement. At that time, it was Scott Lang who stole the suit.

And right now, Leo was levitating on top of Pym’s house. During the day, he counted the time properly. Hank Pym would still remain busy in Pym Technologies today. While her daughter, Hope van Dyne would only return to the house and stay with her father for two days due to her boarding school life.

Thus, the house beneath Leo right now was void of people and it was the best opportunity for him to obtain Pym Particles. But the current sky wasn’t dark enough, so he decided to wait for a bit more for the sake of assurance.

Time passed by and soon it was two o’clock at midnight.

Leo was suspended in midair and took a nap. Right now, he just woke up and was brimming with energy. At the current time, most people were soundly asleep. It was the best time for him to act. He dove down and reached the entrance of Pym’s house instantly.

Activating his Mechanical Force – Insight, the alarm system behind the door was clear to him under the Mechanical Force Vision. The alarm was directly connected to Pym Technologies. Once someone triggered the alarm system, Pym would receive the news promptly.

Nonetheless, Leo didn’t put the alarm into his eyes and wasn’t going to infiltrate like how future Scott Lang would. After all, he possessed an even more advanced lock-picking method.

Placing his palm onto the door, Leo’s Mechanical Force circulated within his palm. Together with the Mechanical Force Vision, the door was unlocked. With a ‘click’, it opened right away. Under the combination of Mechanical Force and Mechanical Force Vision, every mechanical door was equivalent to nothing for Leo.
