The Heiress

Chapter 47 - Fairytale

The huge doors opened and a bright red carpet lay on the floor. A large and bright chandelier hung tightly on the ceiling and crystal accessories decorated it.

A woman wearing a yellow dress walked towards them with a bright smile. Each step she took caused her dress to flow with the wind, giving her an air of gentleness like a fairy in a lake.

"Mr. Cheng, welcome back!"

"en"

"And this is...?" she looked at Hui Yin with a beaming smile and inquired her name. Since no malice was directed to her, Hui Yin returned the smile and shook the hands of the woman

"Anna Lin, a p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e to meet you"

"I'm Lydia Holler, just call me Lyd, the p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e is mine" Lyd looked toward the three other people behind them before greeting them as well "these must be the three you talked about?"

"en, are there anymore rooms?"

"You jest, Mr. Cheng, with the size of this building, there are more than enough rooms to fit three people. Come, let me help you settle down, I'll see you guys later Mr. Cheng"

"mm"

They watched as Lydia walked up the grandeur stairs, leading the family of three to their room.

"ahem..shall I tour you around miss Lin?"

"look Mr. Cheng look! it's amazing!!" Hui Yin lost her composure when she saw a portrait made completely of flowers.

Cheng Ming-hùa toured her around the 'castle' before he walked with her to the garden. Hui Yin has never been a lover of flowers but she loved art. She did not expect to see such a beautiful portrait of a princess right after they walked through the 'secret garden'. It was called 'secret garden' prior to the story he had heard of once from his mother.

Cheng Ming-hùa was stunned for a moment when he saw her truly smile for the first time.

She had a beautiful smile, it would be better if she smiled at me that way everyday....eh?...what am I thinking?

Hui Yin noticed his gaze on her and realized her sudden outburst of emotion. She coughed out and composed herself before going back to her profile as Anna Lin

"Forgive me Mr. Cheng, the place is beautiful indeed. Like a fairytale."

"mmm I know" he smirked "I thought of it after all"

"en" she nodded 'jerk'

"If I may Mr. Cheng, why did we bring Mr. Peterson and his grandchildren here?" It was one thing that confused her. Was there a connection that made him do so?

"This is an orphanage that also serves as the children's school."

Everything became clear to her. He really was helping them out of kindness! The thought made Hui Yin's gaze soften.

She never had thought of helping beggars on the streets. It was no one's fault she thought that way. While Cheng Ming-hùa grew up knowing what hardship meant, she on the other hand was brought up with a silver platter. She was a sociallite from top to bottom if you exclude her weird thinking of wanting to work out of her capabilities.

Not only had Cheng Ming-hùa made a place where orphaned children can stay, he also made it so grandeur! A fairytale like home!

"They are free to live here as they will but with the condition of having to study here until they grow up." he continued

He's a kind hearted man, Yin...

As though she gained courage to say something, she walked ahead of Cheng Ming-hùa and turned towards him. She took deep breaths while walking backwards, while Cheng Ming-hùa looked at her in confusion

"Mr. Cheng I AHH--!!"
