They were eating quietly when the doorbell rang, and the butler from the kitchen opened the door. Three burly men were carrying a king-size bed with cartoon characters in it.

Samuel cheered that his bed is here and Samantha's jaw dropped. She saw the logo, and she was shocked because she was also a subscriber of that brand and never saw the bed.

Samuel's favorite brand was also this and has a blanket full of this brand. The brand said that they will introduce some beds and new blankets of their brand in a few years.

The three burly men put the men in the previously called living room, and now, it is called Samuel's bedroom. Two women with voluptuous bodies dressed in the same attire as the men were carrying some pillows, bedsheets, and blankets with the same logo.

Samuel jumped out of his seat and went to the bedroom. Joseph and Mary followed Samuel towards the bedroom. The workers quickly tidied up the place and left. Samuel jumped towards the bed and hopped to it.

Joseph and Mary went with Samuel while Samantha and Alex stayed at the dining table. Samantha then called the unknown number, and a woman's sobbing voice sounded: "Samantha, dad is in the hospital."

Samantha recognized that voice anywhere. She calmly said: "What do you want now, Jessica." Alex furrowed her brows when she heard the name. He knew that Jessica was the woman who tried to slap Samantha at the mall.

"He asked if you could visit him," Jessica said while sobbing. She was only pretending. Her mother can leave him and marry another man, but when Alex came into the fray, Millie stayed.

Although Ronald always hurt her, he is her father, so it is only right that she should visit him. "What hospital are you?"

"We're at the Walton hospital," Jessica said and told her the room number. Samantha checked the time, and it was almost seven in the evening. Samantha said: "I will go there now." then she hung up.

Samantha said: "I have to go to the hospital."

Alex nodded: "I will go with you."

Samantha retorted: "But--" but Alex interjected her: "No buts or you are not going."

Samantha pouted and nodded her head, giving up. Alex stood up and headed towards the car, and Samantha followed. They left the house and headed towards the hospital.

They arrived quickly, and Samantha exited the car and headed towards the elevator with Alex beside her. The staff of the hospital quickly formed a line and bowed towards them.

Alex waved his hand, and the staff quickly returned to their jobs like nothing happened. The hospital has no recording policy, so it was safe for Alex to go here without security. Samantha pressed the button towards the third floor, and the elevator closed.

The elevator opened, and Samantha was shocked because Eric was here. Eric was standing beside the elevator like he's waiting for someone.

"Why are you here?" Samantha asked because Eric is a billionaire now so he can afford to just treat himself in his home, unlike Alex's father, who treated the hospital as his own home.

"Found out you were going there to visit your crappy father," Eric said.

Ronald looked at Samantha and was shocked that Eric and Alex were following behind her. He acted weak: "Samantha."

Samantha turned around towards the two of them: "Can you stay out of there?"

The two billionaires did not say anything and ignored her and entered the room. Eric and Alex's cold aura made it hard to breathe.

Ronald quickly stood up and tried to bow towards them. Jessica acted like a girl who is supporting his father like an obedient daughter. Samantha sighed that the two billionaires won't leave so she decided to make it quick.

"Why did you call me at this time? I have work tomorrow." Samantha feigned having work. Jessica was fuming when she heard: "You--."

Ronald sighed and stopped Jessica. He said: I want to ask for your forgiveness."

"Okay, anything else?" Samantha said while her face has an indifferent expression. Jessica was angry that she quickly went towards Samantha and aimed at her hair.

Samantha was used to this, so she closed her eyes. Jessica's hand was about to reach her when Samantha felt a burst of air on her right and left side. She opened her eyes and saw Alex and Eric's hand was holding Jessica's hand.

"You never learn, do you? You think I won't dare to hurt a woman?" Eric coldly said, and Jessica's face paled in shock.

Alex did not say anything, and only gripped Jessica's hand tightly. Samantha said: "Let her go."

The two billionaires removed their arm from Jessica's, of course, that was before they forcefully dropped Jessica's hand. Jessica's hand has two handprints painted on it.

Samantha calmly said: "If there's nothing else. I'm going to leave." then she turned around and headed towards the door while Alex and Eric followed her outside.

There was silence between them while walking towards the elevator. After the three of them got on the elevator, Eric decided to start a conversation: "Tomorrow, are you free?"

Alex coldly looked at Eric, but Eric paid him no mind and focused on Samantha. Samantha thought about it, and since there really is nothing to do tomorrow, she nodded: "Okay, but can we drive Samuel first to school tomorrow?"

Eric nodded: "Okay, see you." then the elevator opened, and Eric headed towards the outside first leaving Alex and Samantha. Alex headed towards the car, and Samantha followed.

The whole time when they left and when they arrived took two hours. When they came, they did not saw anyone outside. Samantha went to Samuel's own room and opened the door a little.

Samantha saw that Samuel was sleeping in the middle while Joseph and Mary were beside him, sleeping soundly. She did not want to disturb them, so she quietly closed the door.

Samantha saw Alex was behind her looking at her with burning eyes. Then a few seconds of staring at each other, Alex quickly came in front of her and immediately kissed her. Samantha stood there like a mannequin and did not react because of how shocked she was. She felt how forceful Alex's kiss was but did not care and just stood there.

Alex broke the kiss, and Samantha snapped back into her senses. She faced the stairs and quickly ran towards it but then, she suddenly felt strong arms, hug her. Alex's face was buried in her back.

Samantha sighed in relief that no one was here or someone may misunderstand, but Alex wanted someone to misunderstand because his feelings are real. He lifted his head and softly said: "Please don't go tomorrow."

Samantha felt butterflies in her stomach went she heard Alex's plea. There were traces of jealousy, indignation, and anger in his voice. Samantha felt those emotions and couldn't help but feel pity.

In Samantha's heart, it's like there is a tug of war. The first side is Alex, and the second one is Eric, and the prize is her heart. Samantha felt really conflicted.

Samantha picked up her courage and turned around and said: "There isn't anything happening between Eric and me. It's just hanging out with my friend."

Alex said: "But the way he looks at you is not just a friend. You see it too."

Samantha's heart skipped a beat when she heard that. She saw it too and thought that Alex did not see it. Her one and only excuse popped like a bubble.

Alex said: "I will only allow you to go in one condition."

Samantha asked: "What is the condition?"

Alex's answer made Samantha's jaw drop.
