Mark said: "But don't worry. Your grandpa is now doing everything in my power to find the person who killed your mother, and no one in this world can escape me if I want them killed."

Samantha thought he was joking, but Alex felt the bloodthirstiness of a soldier in Mark and became more wary of him. Samantha said to ease the conversation: "You have a great-grandson."

Mark and his wife's eyes lit up when they heard that. They thought that their family's military bloodline would end at the two of them but to their surprise that they have a granddaughter and now an even greater surprise is that they have a great-grandson.

Mark was even happier when he heard it's a boy because he's been longing for a man to join the military and continue their legacy. Mark never considered making the women in the family go to the army and are lenient to them.

Mark excitedly said: "Where is he?"

Samantha said: "He's with Alex's parents right now."

Mark nodded. He recognized Alex Walton but is not surprised in seeing the real person. If he wanted, he could erase Alex in this world without anyone noticing.

Mark asked: "How is my great-grandson right now?"

Samantha talked a lot about Samuel: "He's now in kindergarten and is doing great."

Mark nodded: "Is Alex, the father of Samuel?"

Samantha shook her head: "I don't know. One day, I just woke up inside a motel covered in a blanket. If my best friend, Irene, wasn't there then maybe I could have gotten an abortion or even put Samuel in adoption."

Mark and his wife felt pity for Samantha. Yesterday night when they received news that they have a granddaughter. They dug up every information they can get, and her family and friends are there. Irene and Eric were on top of the list.

Samuel was not on the list for Samantha did not go out for one year during pregnancy to not alert anyone. Mark wanted to kill Ronald, but he was afraid that her granddaughter will hate for it, so he decided to ask her when the right time comes.

Alex did not talk at the whole time he and Samantha were there, and only Samantha, Mark, and his wife kept talking. Mark offered Samantha to sleep on their house, and Samantha looked at Alex.

Mark looked at this and looked at Alex with coldness. Alex nodded, and Samantha said: "Sure, when can we come over?"

Mark's wife said: "You can even sleep here every day starting tonight. I just want to spend some time with my great-grandson."

Samantha thought about it and accepted readily: "I will ask Samuel if he wants to come here."

Mark nodded, and Samantha felt it was late. She bade farewell, and Alex drove towards his house. When they arrived, the house was filled with some new electronics on the dining table.

Alex furrowed his brows. The new laptop was something that can't be bought with money and needs some status. His own laptop will arrive in three months, so he knows this is not his.

Joseph saw the two of them and said: "Come."

Alex and Samantha went towards the living room, and the place that previously, only has a TV and a console are now full of toys in every corner.

Samuel came in with the laptop from the dining table, hugging it because he is still little.

Joseph proclaimed: "This room will now be Samuel's bedroom. The bedroom will arrive shortly."

Samantha was shocked by Joseph's sudden proclamation. She wanted to leave the house because it felt like she and her son are strangers, but now, with Samuel's own room, Samantha felt like a resident.

"Mommy, look. Grandpa bought me a cool laptop, and he said that only I have it in the whole world right now." Samuel's cheerful voice rang in her ears.

Samantha only nodded. Alex looked at Samantha and felt that this is too much for her right now. He took his phone and texted her mother: [Please control Dad right now, or they will move out of this place.]

Mary Walton, Alex's mother, felt like his son is exaggerating. She texted: [There is no home better than this, and Samuel already loves us.]

Alex texted: [Samantha does not know about me being Samuel's biological father, and right now, she is considering living with her grandfather.]

Mary furrowed her brows. She replied: [Who is her grandfather? Is he powerful?]

Alex replied: [He's Mark Anderson. He can erase us in the world if he so much as wills it.]

Mary was shocked. She immediately whispered this new information to Joseph and berated him not to overdo it. Joseph had a serious expression when he heard her wife's whisper.

Joseph said: "The bed is already going here, so we better leave."

Samuel wailed and unleashed his greatest weapon, his puppy eyes.: "Why do you have to go?"

Joseph and Mary's will was dwindling when they saw his face. Alex texted: [You can stay.]

Samantha did not notice the texting and only looked at Samuel's happy face. She did not want to take it away so she will wait for the right time to ask him if he wants to visit his great-grandfather.

Samantha left and went towards the master bedroom and took some clothes and went towards the bathroom to take a bath. She opened the shower then closed it after she was wet and scrubbed every part of her body.

Samantha heard some footsteps and thought it was Alex. She kept scrubbing her body when the door opened, and Alex came in and looked at Samantha covered in soap.

"Ahhhh!!!" Samantha immediately used the curtain to hide her body, and Alex closed the door. He did not see anything terrible, and only Samantha covered in soap.

Alex's cheeks became red and went out of the bedroom before he loses control of his urge and attacks Samantha then and there.

Samantha heard the footsteps go farther and farther away before she sighed. She hopes that Alex did not see anything embarrassing. She quickly took a bath and dressed in her pajamas before going out.

Samantha saw no signs of Alex and sighed in relief. She dried her hair black hair and went downstairs to eat dinner and saw the four of them in the dining table. Samuel was beside Mary, and Mary fed her. Samuel opened his mouth to receive the food and ate happily.

Samantha went there and sat beside Alex because the seats beside Samuel were occupied by Alex's parents. Samantha ate quietly, and Alex did the same. Samantha blushed when she remembered what just happened.

Samantha opened her phone and saw some missed calls from an unknown number. She will call later after dinner. She opened her social media and the hottest topic right now is still the video of Alex and Eric holding her.

Samantha tapped on her account and was astonished that her fanbase three folded. She never thought that she could reach this number easily.

Samantha checked her email and saw Harmony emailed her about the endors.e.m.e.nt. The company said that she can work in the company without doing anything. Samantha nodded and thought that Alex pulled some strings. She grew numb from the few days of being surprised every hour.
