"Hi, sweety." The old man's age is in the 70s, and his face looks a lot like Samantha's mother. Samantha was in deep shock. She never thought that the one who called her was her grandfather.

"Are you Mark Anderson?" Samantha said while holding back the tears. Mark directly hugged her, and Samantha hugged him. Samantha burst out, crying in Mark's clothes.

"Why don't you come in and also invite your companion," Mark said, and Samantha nodded obediently. They entered Mark's house and was greeted by how lavish his home was.

Alex was wary of the old man because the Anderson's were people in the military, and Mark Anderson is a general with no known children. If they are talking about business, then the Walton's are the strongest, but if you are talking about power, Anderson's are the strongest.

"Are you, my grandfather?" Samantha said. Mark took off a locket in his neck and opened it. There were two pictures, and one of them is him and his wife on one side, and the other is a woman that looks like her 20s. The woman's features resemble Samantha.

Samantha gasped because she also has a picture just like that. Samantha moved her hair and took off a locket from her neck. Her mom always said that this locked might save her life when she needed it the most.

Mark's face was smiling. Even if Samantha did not show the locket, her face is proof enough. Mark shouted: "Darling, I have a surprise for you."

"Coming." an old woman's voice sounded from the second floor of the house and out came a woman with some resemblance with Samantha's mother. The woman looked at Samantha with shock.

The woman couldn't hold back and started crying. She rushed downstairs and ran towards Samantha before she hugged her. The hugged contained years of mixed with love for a granddaughter.

Samantha was now puzzled. She asked: "Why is my mother not with you and stayed with my father?"

When they heard that, Mark sighed and said: "Sit wherever you like."

Samantha and Alex sat beside each other and Mark, and her wife sat beside each other across them.

Mark said: "Before your mom got pregnant of you, she was our princess. She would always obey us and listen to whatever order we have, but there was an exception. Ronald Brooks came in the picture and seduced your mother."

Mark continued: "We forbade you mom, but when we told her that, it was too late because she was already pregnant. We told her that we could raise the child but stay away from Ronald, but she ran away from home. We have updates on her well being but that all changed five years ago."

Samantha and her grandma began to tear up. Mark continued: "We tried to find out what happened and were devastated when we found out that your mother died. We did not get any news of you and only found out last night that we had a granddaughter."
