Samantha asked: "What is the condition?"

Alex firmly said: "Let's get married tonight."

Samantha stood there in shock while reeling in the new information. Alex repeated: The condition is that you have to marry me tonight."

'Marry you tonight?'

Samantha tried to find a loophole to prevent being married. She thought that she was too young and there are so many things she wanted to do in life.

Samantha reasoned: "Umm, Maybe no one is awake to officiate the wedding." then she wanted to run away, but Alex's arms held her wrist.

Alex said: "Already prepared it. Let's go right now to City Hall. I can open it now for our wedding."

Samantha's reasoning burst again when she heard it. It feels like there is no other way. She dropped her head said: "I will just cancel tomorrow's date with Eric."

Alex did not like seeing her like this, but he felt like he has no choice. He did not want to experience what he experienced after high school. He would rather be looked by Samantha with disgust than being seen as a gentleman and see Samantha be taken away by another man.

Samantha texted Eric: [I can't go with you tomorrow.]

Samantha thought that Eric was sleeping and closed her phone, but after a few moments, her phone rang and looked at Eric's reply.

[Is it Alex?]

Samantha texted honestly: [Yes.]

Eric replied: [If you don't wanna be there. Just tell me, and I can get you out of there.]

Alex saw Eric's reply and furrowed his brows. He looked at Samantha, who just read his response and remained motionless.

Samantha pretended she did not read that and closed her phone then she headed towards the main bedroom and took a nightie in the drawer and headed towards the bathroom before laying down in the bed and closing her eyes, trying to sleep.

Alex followed behind her and saw her on the bed, laying down. Alex undressed his clothes and only left a short on.

Alex then laid down the bed with Samantha, and Samantha noticed some movements beside her and opened her eyes. She saw Alex with no shirt on and closed her eyes again and adjusted her sleeping position to the side, opposite of Alex.

Alex clenched his fists when he saw Samantha's actions. He felt like something changed at that moment in how Samantha treated his presence. Alex wanted the old Samantha, who would blush whenever he saw him.

Samantha did not know who to turn to, but his little brother, Jason. He texted: [I need your help.]

After a few seconds, Jason texted back: [What is it, bro?]

Alex texted: [Need to know what to do if a woman is ignoring you because of something you did or something you said she can't have.]

Jason replied immediately: [Sister in law and you have a fight? Have one tip, and it's coming from me. The women are always the boss in the relationship and never give them a chance to hate you or else your relationship will turn cold. Had that kind of experience once]

Alex knew who he was talking about. Alex's heart clenched when he saw the text because although Jason is a renowned Casanova, he only turned into one when a woman he loved broke his heart once.

Alex knew what he should do, but he still has some hesitation. Jason is like a mind reader and texted again: [If you are hesitating, then when she finds another man, your reluctance will become a regret.]

Alex took his courage and hugged Samantha, which made Samantha stiff. Alex's head was in her nape, and his hands were on her c.h.e.s.t. Alex felt Samantha's skin because of how thin the nightie was.

Alex said weakly: "I'm sorry. I should have never done that. You can go if you want to. I won't stop you."

Samantha's heart was beating faster and faster by the second, and Team Alex in her heart was expanding. Samantha turned around and saw Alex looking at her with his bright blue eyes, reminding her of her son, Samuel.

Samantha hugged him back, and they stayed like that until Samantha slept soundly. Alex smelled Samantha's scent and felt sleepy. He closed his eyes, and after a few minutes, he also fell asleep.
