Gao Bei Cheng was busy doing a report when his computer suddenly went black, he tried to open it but to no avail. He tried restarting the computer but still wouldn't work, when a series of codes flashed across her screen it doesn't take a genius to understand what was actually going on.

He was not very well versed when it comes to hacking, just when he was about to stand and seek help a sentence suddenly appeared in front him that made him fell down on his chair.

His head instinctively turned towards the direction of their president's, did she realize what he had done?

Few seconds passed and his computers monitor returned back to its original state, he checked every important doc.u.ment on his computer but everything was there as if what happened a while ago didn't happen. Was it really the president?

He continued his work but can't seem to focus his entire attention to what he's doing and his gaze always finds its way on the direction of Xi Ana's office.

Should I go? What if it's not her? What would I say? Should I bring my report and ask for her guidance in case it wasn't actually her? "Gao Bei Cheng!" he was startled at the sudden call of his name.

"Are you doing an overtime?" his colleague asked while looking at the clock which reads 8:15 PM.

Lost in thought, he nodded "Ah, I think so?"

"Alright, I'll have to go then." he said while waving. There are only few people left on the Top Floor and most of them are already preparing to leave.

Gao Bei Cheng saw that Assistant Lee was just coming out of the president's office, thus he decided to test the waters. Thankfully he can make it as though he was on his way to the pantry "Assistant Lee, is the President still inside? I was on my way to make a coffee because I still have something to finish, do you want some?"

"It's alright, I just came by the president's office that I'll be leaving for the day. She's planning on staying the night."

To make it more natural, he creased his forehead "Why? Is there some problems with our other branches?" among them it's very normal to include conversations like this so him asking something like this is really not out of natural.

"Not that I'm aware of, she said she was waiting for someone to report to her but I wasn't sure from where, I presume its from an overseas branch considering the time difference."

"Oh, I see. Then take care on your way then, Assistant Lee." he bowed as a sign of respect ad when the the woman was already out of her sight she went inside the pantry just to make things a little bit more convincing.

About three minutes after, he had already decided to meet the president. There is no doubt that she's summoning him, no matter what excuse he make up for himself he can't deny it anymore. He knocked three times on the door, "President, It's Gao Bei Cheng. I would like to consult you over something, would you spare me some of your time?"

A beep sound indicating that the door was already unlocked was heard, he open the door and entered. He saw the woman elegantly seated on her swivel chair while flipping through some doc.u.ments. Right, she can unlock the door by just pressing a button.

She's just a woman, Gao Bei Cheng! He closed the door behind him and he can already feel the coldness of the entire room, is there something wrong with this rooms heater?

He stood rooted behind the door unsure of what to do next. He cleared his throat, "President.." before he could even complete a sentence he was immediately cut off by a cold voice.

"To what qualifications did I hire you?" she said without looking at him.

One question made him stupefied, he knew what she was asking because all of them were hired because of one certain aspect in them that she find quite promising. On what grounds did he think he can just go and become someone else's spy? He must have been insane! "My accuracy in predicting the flow of stock prices are about 60-80%."

Xi Ana stopped flipping through the doc.u.ments and looked up to him, "Tell me what you did wrong."

He felt as though her gaze penetrated through his body feign ignorance! Gao Bei Cheng, just where did your IQ run off to! What are you doing?

Before he could open his mouth he was greeted with a gun pointed at him, the cl.i.c.k.i.n.g sound of the gun reverberated inside the luxurious office. "President, don't kill me! Please! It was only three times! Nothing more!" he immediately knelt on the floor.

Since he was a bit far from the table she only needed to lower her arm a few inches and the gun was pointed at him again, "It doesn't matter how many times the point is you betrayed me. I thought I only hire intelligent and capable employees I think I might have to do better next time."

She's indirectly saying that he's not capable and intelligent! The problem here is that he can't even retaliate, how could he when a gun is pointed right at him. "Stand."

The voice was distant and cold, "Please spare me, President! I'll do whatever you asked me just don't kill me."

"I said stand." the man who's kneeling immediately stood with trembling legs. "Yes, President."

Bang!

The man was startled to his wits with the sound of the gun followed by the vase near him being broken.

"Did you seriously think I was that naive to believe your barely passable acting? Drop that act while I'm still being lenient because the next time you try something funny that wouldn't be a mere pellet gun and it certainly would not hit a mere vase."

The woman put down the gun on her table and pushed it a little forward, only then did the man realize what happened, it was only a pellet gun but based in her words she clearly have the real deal. Gao Bei Cheng stood firmly and walked two steps forward.

When Xi Ana saw that the facial expressions of Gao Bei Cheng completely changed. He was a lot calmer now and there is not a trace of fear plastered on his face anymore. She smiled triumphantly before saying, "Now we can finally talk, Gao Bei Cheng."
