"You're unbelievable." she said while shaking her head at the same time smiling. How could he kiss her in a a public event knowing that a lot of eyes were on them? Though not that she particularly care about what they say.

He smiled nonchalantly, "I told you, didn't I? I'm a man of my words." he said beaming with pride and confidence befitting a prince.

Few people saw what Lim Yi Sheng did and they can't believe they were fed with too much dog food right from the start!

"Did you see that? Young Master Lim kissed his wife!"

"I'm so jealous I could die!"

"And did you see President Xi's shocked reaction? It was so cute!"

"They're so lovely!"

Although the couple seem to not care about what they did, it stirred quite a few maiden heart who also attended the ball on behalf of their families. They were envious of the couple because it doesn't seem like a political marriage but genuine love, how could they find something like that?

The couple on the other hand, stood in front of the tall and elegant door that leads to the venue. They were immediately greeted with respect and enthusiasm.

"Good evening, Young Master Lim and Young Miss Xi." they smiled in return.

They were addressed just as how they were supposed to be addressed with their status, after all the Lim and the Xi clans were part of the nine noble families of their country and the only two clans who were residing in City A.

The attendants opened the door and immediately announced their arrival, it was an unspoken rule to announce the arrival of prominent figures in a societal banquet or balls.

"Young Master Lim and Young Miss Xi has arrived!"

Upon hearing the sudden announcement, the endless chattering inside the banquet hall ceased in an instant. Their heads turned towards the door and saw the couple entering, once they entered the air they give couldn't be hidden it was indeed full of nobility.

Looking at the two one would know that they were wearing custom-tailored suit, typical of those in the higher pedestals.

Upon hearing this, Li Jingli immediately went over them just as the remaining people quietly glanced at the interactions.

"Ana! I'm glad you can make it." he said and kissed her on the cheeks, it was only a friendly gesture but Lim Yi Sheng felt a bit repulsed.

The familiar way he had called her made him realize that they were close, only few people calls her by her name. In his mind he knew that he's been truly reduced to a jealous freak because of this woman!

As a man, Li Jingli realized what was on his mind. He extended his hand for a shake hand and was accepted by Lim Yi Sheng like a man should be.

"This is our first time meeting, Young Master Lim." he smiled and shook his hand. Indeed, even though they knew each other by name it was truly their first time meeting each other. After all, he also belongs to the nine noble families though he resides in City M, it is the only City in the country that could rival to City A's resources.

"Yes, although this is our first it seems that you were quite close with my wife." there was bitterness in his words that only a man like the person in front of him could feel.

Li Jingli chuckled, "We're indeed quite close. Well, back in the days, your wife used to treat the whole country a wonderland and since I got too much time on my hand then I would sometimes tag along."

Those were the days when they used 'fooling around' as an excuse to expand their connections and territories at such a young age, using different names and bearing no statuses.

"Correction Jingli, most of the time you would drag me along even if I didn't want to." among them, it was Li Jingli who had the most carefree attitude.

"Whatever, I never thought you would come tonight." they already went to sit on on their designated table and what surprised Lim Yi Sheng is that they are assigned to the same table as him.

This table seem to have been prepared for the most distinguished personalities of the night.

"It was rare for her to call us out like this, I was rather excited to see what became of her." and there isn't really much important things that she need to set aside just to attend this ball.

Li Jingli hissed, "Why is it that it was only the two of us that needs to put up with those two?"

"If we don't, who would? It's better to have two normal people than leave them on their own. Don't you think so?" her logic seem to have worked on him. If they too become like them, they would all be done for.

Lim Yi Sheng leaned closer to Xi Ana and asked, "Do you personally know the person who organized this charity ball?"

The name of the person who organized this charity has yet to be announced. Although it was like that they knew that it was someone who is very important because the mere fact that he was able to gather these people shows that he is really something.

"Maybe? After all, she's the only one who has the guts to directly call us over like this." Xi Ana looked at the second floor and smiled. Lim Yi Sheng on the other hand, was a bit confused with the ambiguity of her answer but before h could ask Li Jingli spoke in a playful manner.

"After disappearing on us for three years she didn't even send the invitations personally and even calling us out like this!" Xi Ana laughed at his reaction.

"Where were you supposed to be now?"

"I was supposed to be playing right about now." when he said 'playing' Xi Ana instantly realized what he meant, it was a term they would often use to hide their identity before and since they are now established individuals 'playing' means that they were out handling their businesses that weren't named after them.

All four of them has their businesses scattered across the globe, which only them knew that they were actually the real owners of those.

Lim Yi Sheng thought it was really odd for her to attend a ball only because of one of the beneficiaries and he's right, she didn't attend for that sole purpose alone and that there is really something more.

"If you weren't sure if that was your the person you knew how come the both of you actually came?" he asked curiously.

"Because the invitation was specifically made for us to understand." he said not intending to speak anymore, it was Ana's call.

"She kind of put things that would only be understood by the us because we were with her for a long period of time, don't think too much into it." she simply shrugged it as if it does not hold any importance.

But how could it not for him? It was a fragment of the 8 years of Xi Ana's life that he's been constantly chasing.

After only a few moments, the master of the ceremony started talking.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I know you've been curious all night to know who the person is behind this event and I won't prolong your agony anymore. Everyone let us please welcome, Young Mistress Fang Wenna!"

And just like that, an enchanting woman wearing a champagne-colored mermaid gown walked down the staircase capturing the hearts of countless eligible bachelors who attended this ball.

The gown that perfectly hugged her body emphasized her great body, her fair and delicate skin accentuated her features. And her eyes! As dazzling as the ocean's blue, made everyone skipped a beat.
