When the woman finally reached the stage she smiled endearingly which made all the young bachelors swoon over her, just when they thought no one could rival Xi Ana's dazzling beauty tonight her comes another woman on par with her. And of course, they'd rather swoon over someone who's available rather than receive the wrath of Xi Ana's husband, Lim Yi Sheng.

"Good evening everyone, I'm glad all you was able to attend my humble charity ball. This night is very special to me because I've just returned and I was looking forward to meeting my friends whom I haven't contacted for a few years. As a celebration, I decided to organize this event not only for us to gather but also to help those who are in need. Thank you everyone, and please enjoy the rest of the night." she smiled sweetly and walked down the stage.

Fang Wenna approached the center table with a bright smile plastered on her face. Li Jingli was the one who spoke first, "By coming here, you are announcing our relationship to everyone in City A."

She smiled innocently, it's not like it was a secret it's just that it wasn't intentionally exposed to the public. She moved towards him, and she kissed him on his cheeks and she did the same with Xi Ana. "It wasn't a secret anyway, it's not like they will be able to know something with superficial diggings."

Seeing the man on her said, she courteously extended her hand, "So it was you who tied this woman down, nice meeting you Young Master Lim."

Lim Yi Sheng accepted her hand and smiled at her. "It was my p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e, Young Miss Fang."

Looking at the two friends she didn't meet for three years, she knew that she needed to explain herself well. Being with them for years she knew they wouldn't accept puny excuses.

On the other hand, even though he really wanted to learn more of their relationship to know more about his wife he knows it's not his place to intrude so he politely excused himself to give them some time alone.

He leaned closer and whispered in Xi Ana's ears, "You probably have a lot to talk about so I'm giving you time, my dear. I'll just go and greet people." Xi Ana smiled before replying, "Thank you."

"Please excuse me, Young Miss Fang and Young Master Li, I will just and greet some acquaintances." he said as he stood up.

"You don't have to be so polite, since you are now the husband of Ana you an just call as by our names. Right, Jingli?" Fang Wenna said while smiling, it's burdensome to be called by that when they are clearly standing on the same heights as him.

"If you're both fine with that then I'll remember to do so." after smiling one more time, he respectfully excused himself which provided the three with the privacy that they needed.

Xi Ana looked meaningfully at their friend, "It's about time to explain, Wenna."

Instead of answering she asked something, "Where's Qi Lu? Isn't he supposed to be here today?"

Li Jingli hissed at her, "Quit dillydallying Wenna, you know he will never attend a public event like this. What surprised me though is not you are also the same as him who hates crowd yet here you are organizing one."

If they would rank who among the four of them is aloof it would be An Qi Lu, even the possibility of him coming here is close to none. Fang Wenna is almost the same as him, although many people knew her name only few have met her in person, even fewer than the people who have seen Xi Ana. And lastly, Li Jingli is the only one who loves attention. He's good with crowd and the can handle the masses. There was even one time during their disguise when Xi Ana used him as a PR representative of one their playgrounds.

"Fine, I came across a taboo." that sentence alone made the other two stiff.

Fang Wenna observed their reactions and she already know that inside their minds there were already countless thoughts and even though she decided not to show up, the information about what happened will eventually reach them so it is better to tell them everything personally.

Before she was able to continue her explanation, Xi Ana's phone suddenly rang and when she saw that it is a protected number only one person came to mind. "It's Qi Lu, right?" Li Jingli said and Xi Ana nodded as a reply.

She answered the phone, "Nana, put me on speaker." though she was confused with the reason why he wanted so she didn't questioned and did what she was asked to do. "Okay."

"What's up, Qi Lu?" Lu Jingli asked, this must be important for him to suddenly talk to us at the same time, he's not someone who would casually call and aske for a conference call among them.

"There was this city I visited in the north where I found a very good location which I thought would be suitable for building a hotel but unfortunately, I cannot enter." the way he spoke was casual and anyone who would hear it would think that they are talking about a possible business venture.

The three though immediately picked up, "Do you need companion, Brother?" Li Jingli asked in playful manner to conceal the real meaning behind his words.

"Although I cannot enter, it seemed like Wenna has made a tremendous progress regarding it." hearing the words from the man on the other side the two looked at Fang Wenna.

"There is really nothing that we can't hide from you, An Qi Lu." she paused before continuing, "Indeed, It was really tempting and you know me once I set my eyes on something I tend to do everything I can to obtain it."

"It seemed like you were really invested in this, Wenna. But, I think we have to pause this conversation for a while. I can feel a presence of a snake lurking around." Xi Ana sensed the presence of someone very close to them.

"I agree with Nana, we can talk about it next time and we can even plan to go there together." if they want to settle everything they need to act quickly.

While Lim Yi Sheng was tired from greeting some old acquaintances he stood beside one of the c.o.c.ktail tables and sipped wine from the glass he was holding. He looked at the group of friends he left just a while ago.

He's watching everything she does and even saw that someone called her on the phone and it seemed like she had put it on speaker and put it on top of the table as they were looking at it while talking. Whatr were they talking about? It seemed like it was something very serious.

To his surprise, the woman who is standing on the table near him suddenly spoke. "They are probably speaking in codes, its futile to try and understand them only them could understand what they were talking about."

Lim Yi Sheng turned and frowned at the woman who smiled innocently at him, "Weren't you wondering about that? I can clearly see it on your face."

The way she had spoken shows that she knows them, "Who are you?"

"Well, just someone." she smiled and left him there confused.
