The CEO's Wife Has A Secret

Lim Yi Sheng arrived at the restaurant at exactly 7:30 pm, he saw that Mo Chuxia and his sister are already seated at the table they reserved, "Sorry, I'm late. I had to finish an urgent report at the office."

"It's okay big brother. Take a seat." she ushered her brother to sit and signaled the waiter to prepare the dishes they've ordered. They already ordered a while ago and just waited for him to arrive.

As soon as the food arrived, they started eating but if it wasn't for Lim Shinyi the entire night would have been so silent. From time to time, Mo Chuxia and Lim Yi Sheng would respond to what Lim Shinyi would say.

Lim Shinyi noticed that her brother has been looking at his phone multiple times already, "Are you expecting an important call, big brother?"

"Uhm." his wife told him this morning that she might fly out of the country tonight for a business trip, since it hasn't been clearly decided he instructed her to give him a call once the flight is already scheduled bu tuntil now she has yet call him.

"Just focus first with your meal, you always skip meals whenever you're busy even before." Mo Chuxia said, she still remembers how Lim Yi Sheng would stubbornly stay in his office until he was able to finish everything.

"It's okay, I don't skip meals anymore." he clearly remembered what Xi Ana told him, 'Skip your lunch, and I won't let you eat dinner' though this is more of a threat . She knew that it would be bad to skip lunch specially when the both of them doesn't eat breakfast, they are more of coffee people.

Before Mo Chuxia was about to respond, Lim Yi Sheng's phone suddenly rang. He immediately answered his phone without bothering to stand up, it's not like what they were about to talk about is something private that needs to be kept secret.

"Hello, Yi Sheng? My flight's schedule would be at 1:00 am. Since it was a direct flight, that was the soonest flight I could take." Lim Yi Sheng instinctively looked at his wrist watch to check the time. The two woman in front of him is watching his every move closely.

"There is still time, I'll pick you up after dinner." since it's still 8:00 pm there is enough time. Since he's already done eating, he's now preparing to leave.

"Big brother, I just received a message from my manager for an unplanned schedule tonight. Sister Chuxia didn't bring car today because I was the one who picked her up. Can you drop her off, you're now living in Imperial right? Her villa is along the way and since you're already going home might as well drop her off." since its along the way then there is no problem he thought.

On the other hand, Lim Shinyi really doesn't have any schedule tonight she just wanted her brother and her Sister Chuxia to have some quality time, maybe then they would be able to reconcile. The only sister-in-law she would consider is Mo Chuxia and no one else.

"Okay. Take care, don't drive too fast." he reminded his sister before she left. He soon followed together with Mo Chuxia.

He turned and look at the woman, "Let's wait for Feng Jinnian."

She was surprised because when he has a private matter to attend to do, he would always drive the car on his own.

Mo Chuxia is the perfect example of a timid and demure princess. She looks like a porcelain doll, delicate and pure looking as if one wrong move could easily break her. She has this kind aura surrounding her, entirely different from Xi Ana's image.

"You didn't drive?" she asked.

"No, I was temporarily forbidden to." no one spoke any word anymore. Soon after, a black Audi stopped in front of them. Though she was a bit confused about why he was forbidden to she didn't have the courage to talk.

As the gentleman that he is, he opened the car and let the woman in first before following.

"Let's first drop off Ms. Mo at Jade Residence Villa then we'll head home."

"Yes, CEO Lim." then he started the engine and drove off.

Hesitating, Mo Chuxia decided to break the silence.

"Sheng, I'm sorry I left you before the wedding. This might sound like an excuse after all these years but I regretted my decision back then." it took her years of courage to say this, and after finally letting it out she felt like her heart lightened.

"It's okay." is there any other way to respond, he thought. It's not like he's concern about it anymore, it's been years if he was not affected before then why would he be now, right?

"Sheng, I came back because of you. I'll make it up to you, I promise. Can't you take me back?" she's pleading while holding his hand. Meanwhile, Feng Jinnian felt a little bit uncomfortable with the sudden turn of the situation. He knows her, and he also knows what the CEO feels for her.

"I'm married." he casually said and she felt as if the whole world suddenly stopped in front of her. She's not even sure if she heard him right or not.

"You're lying. I never heard about you being married. If it's your marriage it would surely be a big news. In fact, your sister didn't even mention about it." tears are streaming down her delicate face. So that she can go back to him, she gave up her career and now he's saying he's married, what utter nonsense.

"You can't just make any excuses, if you don't want to take me back you have to properly explain it to me." she said in between her sobs but Lim Yi Sheng's stoic face remained unchanged.

"Like I told you, I am married. I'm not making any excuses, I'm merely stating a fact." that's basically the shortest and most accurate way to explain why he can't have her back and why would he take her back anyway.

Mo Chuxia looked at Feng Jinnian for confirmation and upon noticing this he responded, "The CEO is indeed married, Ms. Mo." just after responding his phone rang and saw the Madame's name. He answered immediately because he knows that she doesn't really like waiting.

"Hello, Madame?" the woman at the back suddenly perked up upon hearing him say 'Madame'.

"Are you with Yi Sheng? He's not driving is he? He's not picking up my calls." he can clearly hear the irritation from her voice that's why he answered her question right away.

"The CEO is safe and sound Madame, he's currently at the back and you don't have to worry I won't let him go near the driver's seat as you instructed. As for why he's not answering your calls.." he paused and looked at the man seated at the back looking for an answer.

"Pass me the phone." he said and extended his arm as reached the phone from his assistant.

Meanwhile, Mo Chuxia can't believe what she's witnessing right now. Did his wife really call at this moment? So, it is indeed real? Lim Yi Sheng is really married?

"What is your excuse? You know how much I hate it when somebody doesn't answer my calls." he doesn't have any excuse at all because he really didn't answer it.

"I'm sorry. Look, I'll make it up to you okay? Don't be mad, I'll pick you up in a while and I'll send you to the airport." letting Xi Ana be mad for a long time will not benefit anyone.

"Okay, I'll see you at home then." she was about to end the call but felt like her husband has yet to say something so she paused momentarily.

"Ana, we're dropping Ms. Mo home first before going home. Just take your time packing your things, we won't be late for your flight anyway." upon hearing this, the woman on the other line furrowed her brows questioningly.

"Who's this Ms. Mo? I haven't heard about her, aren't you having dinner with your ex-fiancee and your sister?"

"Ms. Mo is the ex-fiancee I talked to you about." the insensitivity that Lim Yi Sheng is showing towards the woman knows no bounds.

"I see. Okay, then I'll end this call and wait for you at home. Anyway, I just called checking if you dared to drive or not." he chuckled with his wife's remarks completely forgetting the presence of the woman beside him.

"I promised you I won't drive until you told me so. Whatever my wife says, I will follow. Bye then, see you at home." he smiled and returned back the phone to Feng Jinnian.

Mo Chuxia felt like she was being strangled as her breathing became very heavy and with all the courage she had left she asked, "Who's your wife?"

"Xi Ana." this answer made her laugh sarcastically. If it's Xi Ana then it's more impossible for the public not to know, such big personalities getting married to each other would cause a huge uproar to the corporate world.

"You're kidding, if you really did marry her then why didn't you announce it? Isn't that the main reason why you're getting married, for business. If she really is your wife then it's impossible that the shareholders of Lim Group wouldn't take advantage of the publicity."

"I just find it ridiculous that you keep asking me questions and when I answer truthfully you're doubting it. I married Xi Ana, the woman who controls over the Xi Empire and only a few people knew about it. Why won;t you accept that fact?" she won't accept it, not until she sees it for herself will she believe. In her mind, it is easy for him to say these things but if he's bluffing, showing Xi Ana in front of her would make him give up this facade.

The woman is desperate, she keeps on making herself believe that Lim Yi Sheng is lying and he's doing this because of she had done in the past. She believes that he's still affected by that but in reality, Lim Yi Sheng, from then on sees her only as a childhood friend and nothing more than that.

"Then show her to me right now, you said you're picking her from your 'home'. Show it to me and I'll stop at once." she blurted out, she's hoping that he would decline which would mean he's lying.

The man's patience is at its peak, he never really understands where this woman is coming from because in the first place it was her who left and not like it matters anymore. It's been years, and they both know it was their families that wanted them to get married. When she left, it was not his problem anymore.

Due to irritation he agreed, in which later on he would need to face the consequences.
