The CEO's Wife Has A Secret

"Your brother really doesn't like me, right?" Xi Chen didn't directly talk to him at all. Though he didn't disrespected him, nor he felt like he was disgusted with him it still makes him sad that the brother of his wife still didn't fully accept him yet.

"He'll get use to you. Just always be on his good side, I think now you know how to do that already." during their dinner, Xi Chen seems really interested with marketing. This is a first for Lim Yi Sheng, trying to please other people so that they will accept him, never in his entire life did he yield to anyone.

Xi Ana just gotten out of shower and is now wearing her nightgown, he's already done showering. He decided to take a shower a while back to give some personal space for the family to catch up with each other without being conscious of his presence.

Lim Yi Sheng walked towards her and grabbed the hair dryer, "Let me."

She is seated in front of her vanity table and her husband took the initiative to dry her hair. She's not used to these things, she never asked for help nor did she ever think of letting other people do something she can easily do but Lim Yi Sheng, he never asks for permission he's just basically doing what he wants.

Tired and exhausted, Xi Ana felt sleepy as her husband is continuously drying her hair. After a couple of minutes, her eyes became droopy. Seeing his wife like this, his heart ached. He immediately set the hair dryer on top of the table. He hooked his right arm behind her knees and used his left arm to support her back, he then gently lifted his wife and walked towards the bed.

The sudden movement made Xi Ana jolt, upon realizing what he's done she glared at him. She's now on their bed which made her really upset.

"Who told you to carry me? Didn't I tell you not to exert so much force on your arm." she's worried that his arm might hurt if too much force was exerted on it. It's not yet that long since he was off the cast.

He laid down beside her on pulled the blanket over them. Lim Yi Sheng grabbed the small of her waist and pulled her towards him. She seems to have gotten used to this kinds of action from her husband that is why she didn't retaliate.

He hugged her in between his arms as if he's afraid he might lose her once he let go. They both know that their relationship is progressing, not so fast and not so slow. As much as he wants to take their relationship deeper, he still wants to respect her. Their unique set up is also something he needs to consider, usually couples start from being strangers, to getting to know each other, to lovers, to marriage. In their case, the order was completely messed up and he knows that.

Xi Ana felt her muscles tightened when Lim Yi Sheng suddenly buried his face on the side of her neck while his arms are still circled around her waist.

"I don't want to let you go." she can feel his warm breath on her neck as he murmured those words in a low and soft voice. Xi Ana didn't answer and it's not like he's actually waiting for one, being able to speak his mind is enough for him.

She felt the urge to hug him back and so she did. She slid her arms on the back of his neck which brought an unfathomable sensation to her husband, he didn't expect her to hug him back, this is a first. It has always been him, she's only letting but never did she return those actions.

Lim Yi Sheng haven't realized it yet but the more time passed and the more time he spends with her, the deeper he's falling into that ravine called love.

The woman smiled and waved her hand towards her fans. She just came back from Europe after multiple events that she attended. Once she was able to break through the crowd she boarded her van, this van is typical for someone like her in the entertainment industry because it has a customized dressing room.

"Didn't you tell my brother about my arrival?"

"I did Young Miss but the Master said that he's busy and won't be able to pick you up." as much she wants to be spoiled by her brother it's really impossible.

Lim Shinyi is a popular actress who's known not only for being an amazing actress who were able to garner awards at a young age but also for being the Young Miss of Lim Corporation, the sister of the one and only Lim Yi Sheng.

She began her career at the age of six, and she's not only popular in the country but she is known globally. At age of 21 there are already a lot of Hollywood films that she had participated with that is why she is considered as one of the country's pride.

"Let's go straight to the office. I want to tell him something." her assistant immediately nodded.

The moment she stepped inside the building, all pairs of eyes were on her. All of them knows her, it's impossible not to. There are a lot of opinions towards her career path, being in a well known family a lot of their relatives were against her entering the entertainment industry but she did everything to strive and show them that she can be anyone she wants her to be.

Lim Shinyi is tall for her age, her soft and glowing skin paired with her long legs could easily attract people but that is not the only thing that makes her attractive. Her small and round face, her twinkling eyes, and her rosy cheeks made her look younger than she actually is.

In front of the CEO's office, she went straight and opened the door. She found her brother looking outside while on the phone, the office wall is a glass from floor to ceiling so the outside view is clearly visible.

Lim Yi Sheng noticed that a person came in that's why he turned only to find his younger sister who casually waved her hand.

"Let's talk about it at home. I have a sudden visitor." he's currently talking to Xi Ana about a business related matter but his sister's sudden intrusion interrupted their discussion.

"Okay." and the call ended. Meanwhile, Lim Shinyi casually sat on the sofa.

"Xiao Shi, manners please." he's pertaining to her barging inside his office without even knocking. His seriousness gave his sister a chill. Did he wake up at the wrong side of the bed? She thought.

"I'm sorry, big brother." her brother sat down in front of her and looked at her seriously.

He knows that his sister has something to say that she personally came here to see him. Upon checking the time, there is one hour left before his next meeting so he asked her directly, "What is it Xiao Shi?"

Lim Shinyi cleared her throat, "Sister Chuxia is coming back in a few days, I was wondering if you could spare us some time for a dinner." she's hopeful that her brother would grant her this wish.

"I don't think that's appropriate, Xiao Shi." with all due considerations, having a dinner with them is not a very good idea and it's not like he can actually ask Xi Ana to accompany him, she hates eating dinner with strangers if it's only his sister Xi Ana would be able to tolerate it but to eat with Mo Chuxia, a complete stranger to her would be out of the question.

"Can't you at least reconsider it? After all, you have a really good relationship in the past." her persistence makes him think about reconsidering. He knows how much his sister is attached to her, she became that sister she never had.

"Or is it because of what happened before? Are you still bothered about the fact that she called off your engagement when everything about the wedding is already set? Didn't she explain that she wanted to pursue fashion-" Lim Shiyi wasn't able to finish her sentence because he cut her off.

"Lim Shinyi, enough. That is not the reason why I don't want to have dinner with you, do you understand? That matter doesn't concern me anymore." he said this as a matter of fact what's done in the past stays in the past. Hearing this, Lim Shinyi thought that her brother is still affected with it.

"Still, I hope you'll reconsider. Not for her, at least do this for me then. You know how much I miss her." she stood up not waiting for her brother's respond anymore. She bid him goodbye and went out of his office.

Lim Yi Sheng and Mo Chuxia were engaged when they were 18 years old, and when they reached 23 years old their wedding has already been set but Mo Chuxia suddenly left the country to pursue her dream, and that is to become a fashion designer. No words were left, she just walked away.

Though they were engaged for five years it doesn't mean Lim Yi Sheng actually loved her, he only thought of it as following the elders' order which is to get married. Lim Yi Sheng, Lu Nai He, and Mo Chuxia grew up together that's why he really didn't think about retaliating.

When Mo Chuxia left, he really didn't think much of it. He only considered it as him not getting married for now because he knows the elders will eventually set another marriage meeting for him.

"You're asking me whether I would allow you to have a dinner with your ex-fiancee and your sister?" Xi Ana is seated on her side of the bed scrolling through her tablet about the latest news and updates from their branches overseas.

"Uhm." he's lying on his side looking at his wife who's busy scrolling and not even sparing a glance at him. As much as possible he tries to finish all his work in the office though his wife is also the same, she just can't help work even at home.

"It's up to you. I don't particularly care, it's not like I'm the one who's gonna join them for dinner. Wait, you're not actually saying this because you want me to accompany you, right?" just thinking about eating with a stranger - not even a prospect business partner makes her very uncomfortable.

"I know how much you dislike it so I didn't even consider that idea. Also, I think my sister still doesn't know about our marriage, knowing her, Mother probably kept it a secret afraid that she will throw a tantrum once she learned about it."

"It's okay. Let's just leave that matter to Mother after all she knows her own daughter more than we do." Xi Ana set her tablet down on her bedside table and lied down. Lim Yi Sheng pulled her for a hug and kissed her forehead.

Xi Ana once again thought about dinner, why do people these days always want to set an appointment for dinner it's not like it is the only time you can have a meal in a day, right?

Lim Yi Sheng tightened his hug and his wife just let him, after a couple of minutes he said, "I will go then." his wife only nodded as a response.
