"Distortion"

We stand inches away from the door to the next floor, we collect the droppings left behind by the minotaur and leprechauns. The squad fully regrouped and we headed toward the next floor.

She's having a panic attack now, her face begins to become a blur and her voice seems distorted. Her movements are smothered and breathing fluctuates.

"Clair, calm down," another D rank tells her trying to calm her. 

[Room analysis completed]

     *Target: Clair?*

Direction: 70 meters Left ^

     *Enemy: Monarch Elf*

I try to move to Clair but the distortion messes with a sense of direction, my footsteps grow heavy and my body won't move. I gather my last strength to point and yell in the elves' direction. 

*Whoosh*

"CLAIR," the D rank girl shouted.

She attempts to follow her, before jumping down Ash grabs her before she can get the chance.

She tries to squirm away, but Ash holds her tightly. 

[Objective: Save Clair and kill the Monarch Elf]

    *Punishment for not completing this objective determines on player performance*

"Punishment?"

The system never spoke about a punishment, this is serious.

I drop the backpack and jump off the stairway; Duster tries to catch me but I slipped past him.

[Shadow Creation activated] 

I reached her, pulled her towards me. Clenching onto her with all my strength with my head straight towards the cloud. We land safely and the torches light up. 

[Shadow Healing activated] 

I pull the arrow out of her eye, and place the flame over the wound. The skin around the eye started healing together and the blood stopped flowing. She stops trembling and laid back while allowing the flames to heal her. I lay her by the staircase. 

[Healing Completed]

   *waking injured in 00:02:59* 

I got 3 minutes to spare, I brought out a C rank healing potion and drank it. 

*Vision Restored*

-Scene Change-

Duster and Ash are on their guard, Abis jumped down to save Clair and now they believe both to be dead. Ash is blocking the D rank girl, making sure she doesn't become a target nor jump off the railing. They remember the direction in which Abis had pointed moments before jumping.

Duster lifts his shield in preparation for another attack. 

Unsure of if Clair or Abis survived he felt as if he lost important pieces to his chess game.

*Whoosh* 

A dozen arrows are shot toward Ash; his bronze shield blocks all the arrows and he now knows the exact location of the monarch elf. 

"Duster he's shooting with a straight bow."

"Left side, 3 'o' clock east," Duster instantly reacted to Ash's words and dashed east with his shield up. 

The monarch elf sits there with his bow and arrow ready.

*Cling Clang*

Blocks the arrows and swings his sword missing hitting the wall, the elf smirks and leaps back. then suddenly...

The area the elf was sitting at exploded sending Duster flying straight down with half his armour blown away.
