Return Of A Star

Chapter 6 - Judging (1)

The next morning, An Yexi got Li Hua and Li Ling up early to get some party dress. She knew that this party wasn't just a simple birthday party, it was a party that would have the rich youth of society. Usually, An Yexi didn't mind what those other rich families thought because the Li family was not a group to make your enemy. Even with that in mind, as a mother, she wanted to help her daughter fit in with the new group that she would be interacting with in the future.

An Yexi took the girls to LX, the most popular dress shop favored by the youths in the high society. When the shop attendance saw An Yexi and Li Ling, she instantly put up a polite appearance and came over with a smile. "Madam Li and young miss Li, I'm so happy to see you today. How can I help you?" She said. "We're here to get some party dresses, can you show us the newest design?" An Yexi asked with a smile.

The head shop attendant instantly brightened, she knew that they would spend a great fortune because Madam Li had always spoiled her daughter. While Li Ling went to the dressing room to change into some dresses, An Yexi decided to sit in the waiting room while she waited for Li Hua to get to the shop. When they arrived at the mall, Li Hua excused herself to go to the restroom and told the others she would meet them at the shop.

Now that she was at the shop, Li Hua was really looked at the designs of the dresses. Whoever LX was they created very beautiful designs and really understood the minds of youth. Li Hua never really visited this shop in her past life so she wasn't very clear on the area, so she wasn't sure where to find An Yexi.

Seeing a shop attendant, she thought of asking for help but was interrupted before she could speak. "Hello, miss. Are you in the wrong place?" The shop attendant asked in a very polite tone but her facial feature didn't give off a welcoming vibe. Tilting her head, "No? I believe this is the right place, LX Dresses, and Designs. I was just looking for the waiting area, could you show me?" Li Hua asked.

The shop attendant looked at Li Hua and could only sigh at her bad luck. She hated when some didn't know their place in life. It left her to become the bad guy and have to kick those ignorant people out of the store. Keeping her polite smile, "Miss, I believe that this isn't the right store for you." She said kindly. Confused, Li Hua tilted her head, "What do you mean?" "This store caters to the more high society and our apparel can be quite expensive. I don't wish for you to have an embarrassing moment, so I advise you to leave now before the situation gets too big." The shop attendant explained all while drawing the attention of the other shoppers.

"Look at her clothes, I bet she couldn't afford one pair of shoes." A lady said to her friends. Another shopper laughed, "It's great to have dreams but one should know their limits." He friend laughed but still nudge the one laughed loudly, "Stop! I feel sorry for the poor girl." She said.

Li Hua knew that at the moment she was dressed like a rich girl from a wealthy family. While she knew it could cause some misunderstanding but not to this degree. Also, she was a little upset at this shop attendant for making such rude remarks and judging before they had all the facts. Since AI explained that she would get points just by receiving love, she decided to conduct a little experiment.

Showing a sad face, "I'm sorry but I still don't understand why you're telling me to leave." She said in a small voice. At this moment, Li Hua looked very young and pitful, waking up some ladies mother instincts. The ones who spoke badly about Li Hua a moment ago instantly felt guilty, some even turned red in embarrassment. The shop attendant was a little startled by the way Li Hua reacted to her words, but she didn't believe she was wrong in her statement.

"Miss, I didn't mean anything offensive, I just wanted to give you some kind advice." Nodding her head, "I understand that, but I don't understand why? All I asked was to be shown the waiting area yet you asked me to leave. Why?" Li Hua aksed giving the shop attendant a pitful stare. The other shoppers frowned when they heard Li Hua's words, they also wanted to know why she had to leave.

Seeing everyone look at her with weird glances, the shop attendant started to feel wrong. She was just doing her job, it was very clear that Li Hua couldn't afford the clothes in this shop. "Fine, I didn't wish to be rude, but our shop is very high class. I just didn't want you to be embarrassed when you couldn't afford the clothes." The shop attendant said in a more harsh tone.

"Who said she couldn't afford the clothes in this shop." A crisp, clear, and angry voice said from the side.
