Return Of A Star

Stepping into the living room, Li Hua saw Li Jun and An Yexi stand up and stare at her with watery eyes. Li Hua's grandmother, LanFei, was crying tears of joy when she saw the granddaughter that she was always missing in her heart. The only one who was quiet and was only watching was Li Ling, she sat on the sofa next to An Yexi carefully watching Li Hua.

"Everyone, today is a joyous day! Our dear Hua has finally returned home safe and sound!" Li GuiRen said with joy. An Yexi couldn't contain her happiness and pulled Li Hua into a tight hug, "My daughter! My lovely princess, I can't believe I'm holding you again!" She said as tears ran down her face. Li Hua hugged her mother, happiness blooming in her heart. 'This time I won't let anyone ruin my relationship with my mother.' Li Hua thought as she backed up and smiled at her mother who was patting her head.

Even Li Jun was wiping his eye, "Dear, why don't we let her sit down, she must be tired from her trip." Opening her eyes wide, "My! How could I be so foolish, come, sit down, my dear princess." An Yexi said.

Li Hua didn't wish to have any contact with her cousin but she knew if she didn't it would be impossible to get her revenge. Giving a curious glance, Li Hua looked over at Li Ling in order to shew her interest. Seeing her stared, Li Jun smiled and spoke up, "Li Hua, this is Li Ling, your younger sister." He explained.

Tilting her head, "Sister?" Seeing her look confused, "Li Ling was adopted by your parents after her family had an unfortunate event. I hope you two will be very close sisters." LanFai explained patting Li Ling's hand.

Li Ling smiled at her grandmother and then took a glance at Li Hua. She always knew that she was adopted but she never cared because she had all the love of the Li family. When she heard about Li Hua's return, an unexplainable fear rose in her heart. The mere thought of her not being the only young miss of the Li family was not something she liked to think about. As the days got closer to Li Hua's return home, Li Ling has already decided that she couldn't allow Li Hua to remain or else her place would no longer be stable.

Giving Li Hua's a happy smile, "Elder sister Hua, I have heard so many things about you. I'm so happy to finally meet you." Li Ling said. Li Hua kept her calm smile on her face as she listened to Li Ling's words of joy. How foolish was she in her past life to really believe that Li Ling was true and her words came from her heart. This was the beginning, the elaborate scheme that Li Ling came up with just to destroy Li Hua.

"I see. I hope we can get along as well, little sister. Please be kind to me and forgive any mistakes I might make." Li Hua said with a melody like voice. Li Ling was actually a little shocked, she wasn't expecting for this unknown girl to be so calm. If one learned that their family practice replaced them with another and wanted them to get along, wouldn't the former be upset or unsettled? Li Ling was actually hoping for that outcome, she wanted to appear calm as this unknown girl got fl.u.s.tered. Sh e mainly wanted to show the difference between the two and make the Li family realize that she was more outstanding.

While Li Hua was smiling at her cousin, inside she was enjoying the clear panic in Li Ling's eyes. She behaving exactly as she did in her past life, trying to show everyone she is a white lotus who should be pitied and protected. When she first learned of Li Ling's place in this family, she did feel hurt at first mostly because she believes her parents abandon and replaced her. Of course, she didn't learn way into the future that her disappearance was part of a bigger plot to scheme against the Li family.

An hour with by with the family talking and catching up, Li Hua learned more about the family and the family business. Seeing that it was getting darker and that Li Hua was a little tired, Li GuiRen clapped his hands. "Okay, everyone! I know we all want to talk and learn more about our dear Hua, but she must be tired from her long day." He said.

Nodding her head, "I'll show you to your room, I hope you like how I decorated it." An Yexi said bring Li Hua upstairs. "I'm sure I'll love it, u-um... mother." Li Hua said in a nervous voice as she shyly glanced at An Yexi. Opening the door, An Yexi just gave Li Hua a warm smile, "Sweetie, I know it might feel weird, so call me what you wish until you get comfortable." Li Hua smiled warmly at her mother as her heart filled with love.
