When the sudden dizziness finally wore off, Xia Zhilan opened her eyes to find herself sitting in a large modern kitchen. The entire house was deafeningly silent and the atmosphere was strangely tense and depressing.

Xia Zhilan pulled out the phone in her pocket and checked the time - it was only 1pm which mean't Fu Sihan should still be at work.

After fiddling around with her phone for a while she noticed that it was bugged so it records her location, phone calls, messages and browsing history.

'What a psychopath...!'

Xia Zhilan knew that the male lead, Fu Sihan would be extremely controlling but what did he expect the orginal Zhilan to do on her phone?

Rolling her eyes, Xia Zhilan snorted coldly.

In her past lives, she was known as 'X' an internationally wanted hacker with a bounty of almost 1 billion US dollars for hacking into confidential government doc.u.ments and stealing millions of dollars from multiple banks. Of course with Zhilan's skills she was never caught however Xia Zhilan wouldn't say she was particularly 'talented' in the field of hacking and programming... She just had many years of practice.

Removing the bug from her phone and her other devices was merely child's play for her. However, Fu Sihan who was constantly surveiling her actions, would notice immediately which could potentially cause Xia Zhilan some trouble..

After dealing with the bug, Xia Zhilan looked though news from the past two years on the entertainment world such as rising stars, household names and flourishing/failing companies

Although her first task, getting away from the male lead was pretty simple for her, her other mission, becoming an internationally famous actress was quite tricky...

Xia Zhilan was confident in herself and her abilities however she was definitely not stupid or naiive.

She couldn't possible believe that she could thrive in the entertainment world whilst going against Fu Sihan, the man who pratically had the entirety of Country C's entertainment industry in the palm of his hands.

Which director would be willing to work with a 24 year old woman who only had the title 'Film Empress' under her name and has already been forgotten under the hundreds of new, younger talented stars and risk offending Fu Sihan? Nobody.

Fortunately his span of control only reached country C.

"I guess leaving the country is my only option." Xia Zhilan said calmly whilst shrugging her shoulders.

'So cowardly...' System 005 said jokingly to Zhilan 'You're leaving the country as if you're the villainess of this story.'

'Aren't there a lot of stories where the female protagonist leaves abroad for a couple years? And there's not really much I can do here with Fu Sihan controlling everything...' Xia Zhilan responded nonchalantly whilst packing her bags.

'I don't really get why the original wants to become famous so much especially after what she experienced in her first life. All the celebrities in the entertainment circle are so toxic and vicious...' Xia Zhilan said whilst looking back at past memories and shuddering slightly.

2 Hours later in the Starry Skies CEO office...

Fu Sihan who was looking through doc.u.ments paused slightly and looked at the time - 3pm. Time to check on how Xia Zhilan's doing...

Her phone has been on the lock screen for a couple hours whist all the security cameras only showed her watching the TV lazily like usual and fidgeting from time to time.

After watching the security footage for a couple more minutes, his heart which had been feeling strangely uneasy for some time finally calmed down.

'Only 3 more hours until I can come home and see my Zhilan again...'

Fu Sihan's secretary, Xiao Wei who had just entered his office with Fu Sihan's assistant shuddered at the strange love-struck expression on his face whilst Miao Zhiling looked downwards to cover her vicious scowl.

Miao Zhiling had worked for Fu Sihan's company for around 5 years and proved her skills time and time again until she finally was promoted to one of his personal assistant. Every single day she works herself to the fullest in order to show off her talents in front of him yet in only 2 years a mere showgirl managed to somehow steal all his attention. Although he has already been married for two years, she still couldn't get over him especially since she sees him almost every single day...

Taking a deep breath to calm her beating heart, she put on a professional smile.

"Sir? I'm here to deliver the doc.u.ments for the upcoming project with director Zhao, and I've also brought the coffee you requested."

Fu Sihan glanced at her slightly before nodding to his desk, gesturing her to put it down.

"Thanks. You can leave." he said shortly.

"Is there anything else you might need?" Miao Zhiling asked politely.

"No."

Miao Zhiling nodded calmly and turned around to leave before he could see her face quickly reddening.

Despite seeing him everyday for 5 years, Miao Zhiling couldn't stop her heart from skipping a beat like a little schoolgirl when he looks at her with his deep, clear blue eyes...

Miao Zhiling sighed to herself whilst walking out of his office and inwardly comparing herself to Xia Zhilan.

'What makes her, that showgirl, better than me? What does she have that I don't?! She's just a golddigger, leeching of his money... How does he not see it?! The moment they get married she stops working completely! It's so obvious... Can he even see me...? I've worked so hard for 5 years just to get noticed by him. I've made so many contributions to his company whilst Xia Zhilan, that gold-digging bitch, sits at home living lavishly with the man of my dreams! Why couldn't she just disappear...?'
