When Xia Zhilan opened her eyes again, she found herself in the dream-like white space again as she had wished.

"So what's my next mission, System?" she asked immediately.

"This one is a little different from the other ones you've done so far. You're going to take over the body of the female protagonist." it answered.

"The female protagonist? Why? Isn't her life supposed to be perfect?"

"The main storyline has already ended with her perfect wedding however without the influence of the author controlling the plot anymore, some people's traits started to become more prominent which caused the female protagonist's life to spiral out of control once again. She couldn't handle another series of chaotic events and requested help from us. " System 005 explained.

"Some of their traits became more prominent?"

"Most authors usually try to minimise each person's negative traits as much as possible, unless they're the villains of the story, but nevertheless it still exists and with the author supressing it for around a quarter of their lives, it comes back a lot stronger this time. Of course this only rarely happens. Usually only unimportant side-character's traits become slightly stronger and normally, only their good qualities are enhanced." the system clarified.

"Let me guess, is it the male lead?"

"Yup and it also seemed to have affected the second male lead as well. I'll send over the plot now"

"Of course it's the male lead, it always is." Xia Zhilan said to herself whilst rolling her eyes.

The first main storyline was just another cliche rebirth love story mixed in with the entertainment genre. The female lead, also named Xia Zhilan, was an ordinary 16 year old teenager who grew up in an orphanage. One day she was scouted by a talent agent who worked for a famous entertainment agency due to her beautiful looks. There she discovered a passion for acting, however her talent evoked the jealousy from other aspiring actresses who constantly schemed for her downfall.

Eventually she was caught up in multiple scandals with other directors and actors with bad reputations caused by her rivals and her contract with the label was terminated. Many rumours about the female protagonist started to spread such as her entering through the backdoor by sleeping with directors or other important people in order to get roles. Of course it was completely false however her rivals kept hinting that this was true during public interviews which basically comfirmed the rumours in the eyes of the public. Shortly after that, the entertainment angency was exposed for tax evasion and became bankrupt. Most of their talents couldn't wash away this black stain in their record for working under them and only the top tier ones managed to stay popular.

At this point Xia Zhilan was just an 22 year old actress with many unflattering scandals which meant no agencies or directors were willing to accept her or give her a role. Due to her acting career which had started since she was 16, she had barely graduated high school which meant she couldn't get a decent paying job or be accepted in any colleges or universities and could only get low paying jobs at a fast-food restaurants or sketchy bars as a waitress. At age 24 she was hit by a drunk driver.

However when Xia Zhilan woke up, she found herself back in her 16 year old body, months before her acting career started.

Instead of jumping back into the entertainment industry, Xia Zhilan decided to work on her education as a backup plan and graduated with good grades at 18 years old.

Using her knowledge of the future and her six years of experience as a flourishing actress, she finally began her journey into the entertainment world once again and managed to earn many popular roles and was accepted by the number one entertainment agency of the country, Starry Skies at age 20.

There, the 26 year old CEO of Starry Skies, Fu Sihan, slowly fell in love with Xia Zhilan's cunning wit and hardworking personality. Finally at age 22 she married the man of her dreams, Fu Sihan, won many national acting awards including the title, 'Film Empress'.

However less than a year after her perfect wedding, her husband slowly began to change...

His protectiveness that she thought was cute at first, warped into possesiveness and he eventually forced her to quit acting completely and made sure the public forgot about her completely. He shut down all of her social medias and any online trace of her disappeared.

He wanted Xia Zhilan all for himself. Nobody but him could have her.

Everytime she would leave the house, he'd have six female bodyguards accompany her and have another six bodyguards secretly follow her which made Xia Zhilan and her friends extremely uncomfortable whenever they hung out. Eventually she had to completely distance herself from them in order not to trouble them which obviously made Fu Sihan very pleased as he was now the only person Zhilan had in her life.

Although he had never psychically harmed her, he got extremely angry whenever Xia Zhilan did anything without his permission - even taking a short walk.

Because of him, her dream of becoming an international actress was gone as Fu Sihan had decided that becoming a national film empress was enough for her and Xia Zhilan didn't have the guts to bring up her dreams to him anymore in fear of another fierce scolding.

At age 22, Xia Zhilan was merely wasting away in a giant mansion she used to call home...

"How else would I eliminate Liu Chunhua if he's always defending her? He'd die either way!" Xia Zhilan arguedd in defence.

Kissing her teeth loudly, Xia Zhilan started cursing the system under her breath.

However she was suddenly interupted by a nauseous dizzy feeling.

"You didn't even warn me that we were leaving" Zhilan shouted angrily at the system
