PS I'm Over You

Chapter 98 - Yelan Han & Yuna Song

"I thought we were on a date," Sara commented as she looked at Rion who was feeling at home and was busy preparing tea for her.

The house itself was huge and looked sophisticated with a touch of gold, grey and ebony colors. She never knew these colors would blend well together, creating a homey and welcoming atmosphere. There was even have a zen garden on the other side of their home.

"You don't think this is a date?" Rion asked, arching a brow at her.

Sara shook her head. She suspected that Rion just wanted to have some quality time with her out of their professional time.

"It's a date. Anything that we do together as long as we enjoy it, it's a date," she replied with a grin.

Rion had spent time and effort to bring her here into their ancestral home to know more and learn about him. For that, she was deeply pleased and grateful to him.

He didn't reply but instead reached for the white enameled teapot and sat beside her.

Sara watched, fascinated on how he filled her cup. She noticed his hands weren't the same as those businessmen. His hands were a bit rough as if he was working out on something instead of just signing off contracts and typing on his laptop.

He managed to make the delicate act of pouring tea shrouded with an appealing masculinity. Each motion was disciplined and with grace.

Sara thought that every movement Rion made, no matter how small it was, captured her full attention. Perhaps it was because she never met a man who was so completely in control of himself.

"How long did you stay here before you decided to migrate abroad?" she asked.

"I have known this place for as long as I can remember. I was ten and Ava was only five when both of our parents died in a car accident. We were adopted by our uncle," Rion explained.

"Ava? Your sister?" Sara blinked even though she already had an idea about his dead sister.

"Yes. I'll introduce her to you later."

Rion pondered if he was ready to tell Sara about what happened to Ava. This was another thing that he hadn't given a thought about. While Ririna knew about him being a control freak, he didn't have an idea how Sara would react about it.

Yuna Song didn't expect the fact that she would have a visitor while staying at her place at the New Global City. While she was happy and excited to bond with her only grandchild, the least she wanted to receive now was another distraction that could make her busy and spend less time with Skyler.

She had personally dropped Skyler to his classroom and made sure he has the best security team waiting for him. It gave her enough time to check and oversee the reports waiting for her attention.

His son was getting more in touch with her. Not that she didn't like it but somehow it made it seem like she was given a chance to become a mother to her child. She might have failed before but she did love Eli. Her stress and mental breakdown had pushed her to abandon him.

As she looked at Skyler, she could see young Eli when she and her ex-husband divorced. She didn't like the idea of Skyler suffering the same fate and growing up without his parents.

Eli had requested for her to protect Sky while he and his wife were out on a mission. They both knew that the government's urgent request was a bit unusual and suspicious but they couldn't come up with a concrete motive that might be used against them.

"Is this because you married Ririna Han?" she asked him.

Eli didn't reply but gazed at his son who was busy playing with his mother in the garden. His grey eyes softened at the scene but he was saddened by the idea that Ririna had to stay away from Skyler for a month to protect his safety.

"I have completed and tolerated all their requests and whims," he replied.

In other words, he tolerated their bullshit and done their dirty work for a long time. They didn't have any kind of power over him. He wouldn't betray his wife for those mongrels who refused to do their jobs.

"It doesn't matter. Maybe they are just wary that your wife would turn against you and join the other side."

"Ririna will not do such thing." And Eli was sure of that.

Even if she and her ex-husband parted ways, the ties between the Park and Song families were still intact because of Eli.

Yuna scoffed at the thought. If there was someone who could hold and control of both families, it would be Gamaliel Park. He was the sole and legal heir of both families anyways. She already asked her son several times to reconsider cutting off their ties with the government.

"Let them in," she told her butler.

"Yes, Madam."

She removed her reading glasses before she leaned on her leather chair. Her eyes darted to the window while she clasped her hand on the table. She needed to wait another hour before she could pick up Skyler from his school.

A knock was heard from outside her study room.

"Come in."

Yuna was seated behind her ebony desk. Her long hair was tied in a low ponytail. The collar of her dress shirt was unbuttoned and the sleeves were rolled up on her forearms.

She didn't looked up until she heard the door open and realized that it closed too soon.

"Yuna," a familiar feminine voice called out her name. Her attention was quickly diverted to her visitors. A woman in red with her eyes covered with dark eyeglasses greeted her with a tall man behind her.

Her hazel eyes slightly widened but hell, deep inside she knew she was right. Her instincts were telling her that the woman across her wasn't dead. She refused to accept that.

"You didn't seem surprised to see me or did you know all along that I survived?" the woman asked her with a smile.

"I checked everything," She replied while grinning.

She did and that was one of the things Eli got from her. She always made sure that the person was dead.

"I guess I didn't leave enough trails to deceive you then," the woman said before taking the seat near Yuna's desk. The man that was accompanying her moved to stand behind her seat.

"Did you purposely do that?" Yuna asked. She refused to believe that she was deceived.

The woman took off her sunglasses revealing her dark brown eyes. Yuna thought that she m.a.t.u.r.ed well.

"No. I should be dead but…" the woman gave the man a sideway glance before continuing, "he saved me. I was badly injured and it took me years to fully recover," she added.

Yuna narrowed her hazel eyes.

"And you refused to give me a call after all these years? I expected more from you." Yuna feigned being hurt but she was actually glad to see her again.

"I wish I could but it's hard to move stealthily when you are supposed to be dead and not walking on the surface of the earth. It would be easy for him to find out that I'm alive if I sent any message to you."

Him? Did she mean Hattori? Did she also leave the country? That would make sense but it didn't mean she's off the hook.

"So what made you think that it was safe to reveal yourself to me now? Shouldn't you pay a visit to your little princess before me?"

Yuna sipped her coffee while waiting for her friend to explain herself.

"I heard about what happened to her. I regret that I arrived too late. If she died at that time, I could never forgive myself. I should've asked someone to keep an eye on her but I hesitated."

Yelan Han was hiding for years outside the country but when she heard that Ririna was involved in an accident, she begged her partner to allow her to come back to check on her daughter.

"Why?"

"Because I didn't expect that she will turn out to be just like me. She will know in an instant that someone's watching her from afar." Yelan stopped before her eyes landed on her hands. "She will probably hate me if she finds out I'm alive."

Yuna could see how the woman was deeply saddened by what had happened to her child. How much did she know about Ririna by the way?

"If it makes you feel better, Yelan, she married my son. She's in good hands," she beamed at her best friend.

"So I've heard." Yelan released a breath she didn't know she was holding on for too long. As if some of her burdens was lifted from her shoulders. "I'm glad she found someone who will look after her."

Yuna's butler knocked on her door once again, gaining their attention.

"Madam, it's time to pick up the young master."

Yuna suddenly burst into laughter which made Yelan confused.

"Don't try to kill my son though," Yuna commented.

"Why would I kill your son?" Yelan blinked and Yuna thought how it was insanely the same way how Ririna reacted when she's confused.

"He got Ririna pregnant at eighteen," Yuna explained, "We both have a grandson."
