PS I'm Over You

Chapter 97 - Their First Date

Sara rapidly dried her hair after a quick bath. Damn Rion for forcing her to wake up early and challenging her to get ready before 8 am or else she would be forced to do another punishment from him. She g.r.o.a.n.e.d; she should have declined the bet because she knew she would never wake up so early.

At exactly 7:59 am, a knock was heard from her front door. She cursed herself. He was too early. It isn't even 8 am yet he was already there, outside her door and waiting for her.

She picked up her handbag and hopped over while trying to put a heel on. Before opening her door, she slipped the other one on and greeted Rion.

She attempted to fight a blush that was creeping onto her face but failed. Rion's impeccable look greeted her this morning. Oh, he looked so good with that black dress shirt on, with top buttons undone and with a small smirk on his lips.

"Sara," his cold, monotonous voice greeted him. She tried to greet him back but her words stayed on her mouth.

There's something about Rion that made Sara stunned. Her boyfriend… *coughs* yes, her boyfriend looked so dashing today. The memory of the day that they became a couple still made her blush whenever she reminisces about it.

She developed a really stupid crush on him that she thought she could stop and that crush lasted for… well, it hadn't stopped even when they're already in a relationship. She went through several stages of denial and angst only to find out that he felt the same way for her.

But enough of that, they were together now and it wasn't easy for the both of them to settle their issues. It wasn't even easy for her to get the love and attention of Rion Stahl.

Wasn't it nice to still get fl.u.s.tered with your boyfriend whenever he talked to you? She still acted like a lovesick teenager when he looked at her.

He stood in front of her like a king, his long hair almost floating behind him. She wondered why he keeps his hair long. A sentimental reason maybe?

As a couple, they were still in the phase of getting to know each other but they already reached a level of comfort and sort of understanding. The past days were filled with silent murmurs and giggles as they talked about almost anything and everything.

Well, she did the most of the talk because Rion just gave her occasional monosyllabic replies on her stories. It could be strange for others but she knew he was listening to her nonsense chatterings. If he was bored or had grown tired of her, he hadn't informed her yet. Maybe he secretly liked it anyway.

She would never have expected to have a relationship with a man like Rion.

"You lose," Rion's voice startled her.

"Why do you always have to put a challenge on everything?" she pouted while he let out a small smirk.

"Because you're always late. You need to be punctual and on time. I've been waiting outside your door for more than five minutes," Rion said.

Sara rested a hand on her h.i.p.s and huffed. Somehow she could feel that Rion was bullying her.

Rion started their tradition of placing bets on challenges he started. She still wasn't sure how he got her to play along but if that made him happy, there was no reason for her to decline. Just like today, he challenged her to be ready at exactly eight o'clock in the morning. Too bad for Sara, she wasn't a morning person.

Why would she sleep early when she could binge watch Yuri on Ice in one sitting?

'Hehehe, I still need my daily dose of drugs anyway. Rion can wait.'

These were her thoughts last night and now she's paying the price for sleeping late.

The bets started off as small ones. From the loser buying the winner's drink or choosing the next meal, they would have for lunch. While Ririna was busy assisting her husband on the Eastern Province, Rion and Sara were left to settle and finish the remaining details for the last exhibit next month.

"You're too much for me, Mr. Stahl. So what's my punishment now?" she w.h.i.n.ed.

She found out Rion can be ruthless at times. The last time she lost a bet, he asked her to clean his new house, well except for his room. From scrubbing his floor, cooking some lunch for him, to doing his laundry (at least he removed his u.n.d.e.r.w.e.a.r and socks or she would die in embarrassment), and wash a day's worth of dishes after he cooked their meals.

Sara focused now as he spoke up with his fingers tapping his chin. Her brows twitched as she waited for her punishment.

"This weekend you can help me wash my car. I'll pick you up on Saturday morning since I have a business to attend in the afternoon."

"Rion! I'm not your slave!"

"But you lose. It's only fair to do the bargain of our deal."

He looked at his girlfriend's face with amus.e.m.e.nt. Ah, he hasn't experienced being on the receiving end when she's mad. He liked how she looked like she was about to smack him. Clueless girl. She didn't even realize he was preparing her to become his wife.

Sara's hands frantically fluttered before her.

"Noooo! It's unfair. You always win. You never give me a chance to defeat you," she fumed at him.

Rion slowly blinked at her statement.

"I gave you a fair chance in every challenge we started."

"Alright, alright. I get it. It's my own fault," she replied with irritation. "Now, what brings you here early in the morning? Are we going somewhere?"

"Why, Miss Yun? You didn't know today is our first date?" he asked as he leaned on her doorframe.

Sara covered her face with both hands in embarrassment. Shit. She actually forgot it was their first date today. He had asked her the other day that he would take her on a date.

Rion smirk turned into a full-blown grin. He took in her baby blue dress, the simple pair of silver necklace and pearl earrings that she had on. He hadn't known she had pierced ears because he never paid enough attention to her before. He couldn't even recall seeing her this beautiful.

Her dark hair was partly pulled back, making her face brighten and she looked younger. The gloss on her lips and lightly colored eyelids let him know that at least she tried to be presentable for him.

After their date, he knew he would never see her the same way again. The way she looked today made his heart skip a beat and it confirmed his attraction to her.

Rion stepped closer until they were inches apart.

"You look lovely by the way."

Sara blushed as Rion looked over her. A gentle smile made its way to her lips.

He wanted to court her properly, take her to dates and experience the other things other couples do before marriage. They already did the deed and they couldn't change anything about it. But he's dating her with marriage in his mind. He didn't have any intention to let her go.

She dared to look straight into his eyes. Something about it made her cheeks heat up.

---

His girlfriend sat on his passenger seat, slightly fuming at him. She still couldn't believe that he forced her to wake up early and he refused to inform or give her a clue where they are going.

Sara sighed and berated herself. 'Rion is Rion. You can't change him just because you are his girlfriend.' She then looked at him in the corner of her eye.

Rion's car stopped at a red light. He suddenly turned his head towards her. Getting caught, she quickly averted her gaze outside the window and hid her fl.u.s.tered face. She heard him chuckle beside her.

"Why are you hiding?" he asked before his finger found her chin and gently turned her pretty face towards him.

"N-nothing! Look at the traffic light. Don't mind me or do you want me to drive instead?"

"Nice try, Sara but I don't want you to ruin my plan today."

He leaned his head closer to her with his half-lidded eyes.

"Or do you want me to stare at you without me getting distracted," he teased.

His fingers brushed some of her hair out of her face. Sara swallowed at his almost intimate gesture. She took in the way his eyes followed his fingers. Never did she experience to receive such loving gaze from anyone. At least not until she dated Rion Stahl.

"S-shut up and just drive!"

His eyes were held with amus.e.m.e.nt as he looked at her. He pulled away and she relaxed once she felt the car moving again.

Sara didn't have any idea where Rion was taking her. She didn't even notice when she fell asleep. They already arrived at their destination when he shook her shoulder to wake up from her morning nap. His hand helped her get out of the car.

She smiled and thanked him to which he gave a small smile too. They stood side by side waiting awkwardly to each other until Rion's arm gestured for them to walk. He lead her into a small cottage and he spoke with the man while her eyes were busy looking around and saw a house several meters away from them.

When he was finished informing the caretaker about their stay, he followed Sara outside.

"Where are we?" she asked.

The place looked like a private resort and it only took them one hour of driving from New Global City. It had a peaceful and beautiful scenery that made her heart calm down and at peace.

"This is where I grew up with my sister. My sister's piece of heaven."

'And hopefully will become ours,' he added inwardly.

Rion wasn't ready to tell her his intent yet. He was a risk taker but this relationship he had with her was probably one of the most daring things he did in his life and so far, he wasn't regretting it.
