PS I'm Over You

Ririna went back to work two weeks after she woke up from her coma. As she looked at the other occupant of the room and wondered what happened to Rion. Why did he look like he was in deep shit? What's more, she noticed that Rion and Sara were trying very hard to avoid each other. What happened to those two when she was asleep?

"Did something happened between you and Sara while I was sleeping?" Ririna asked and she noticed how Rion shuddered and froze in his seat.

Bingo.

She was right. Something happened between the two but she didn't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing. Looking at her only male best friend, she could already guess what happened. Did her v.i.r.g.i.n thirty-year-old wizard just hit on their secretary?

"Did you sleep with her?" Ririna tested. She was half-joking and expecting Rion would deny it like he always did but when she heard none of it. Her face paled in realization.

"F.u.c.k.i.n.g hell, Rion!" Ririna screamed throwing all her paperwork in the air when the thought sank into her mind.

"Damn you, Ririna! Don't yell. My ears will bleed." Rion exclaimed as he covered both of his ears, trying to save them from deafness.

"Rion. Rion. My dear wizard who swore that he will take the path of the Sage has fallen. You aren't a v.i.r.g.i.n anymore." Ririna laughed out loud. So much for Rion trying to avoid the opposite s.e.x.

"Congrats. You're officially a man," she added.

"It's not like I planned it." Rion glared at Ririna before burying his face in his hands.

The morning after he and Sara celebrated her birthday was an awkward one. When he woke up, he found Sara staring at nowhere as if she was traumatized by what had happened. He then remembered that they both got drunk the night before and ended up kissing each other. Did they do the deed? Looking down at the blood-stained bed sheet, he realized he lost his v.i.r.g.i.n.i.t.y with Sara too.

"Wanna tell me what happened?" Ririna asked as she tried to squeeze out some information and make her friend confess. This was really the first time she saw Rion interested and bothered by a woman. What kind of charm did Sara have to make the wizard fall on his knees?

"No," Rion denied her request. He couldn't possibly tell her whatever happened between him and the fujoshi woman.

"When did it happened?" Ririna continued to interrogate him.

Sighing to himself, Rion closed his eyes, his dark circles noticeable. Had he been so bothered by it that he hadn't slept?

"More than a month ago." He answered unwillingly. That made it two weeks after Ririna's accident.

Ririna rubbed her chin out of habit then stared at her friend.

"Did you even use a protection when the two of you did the deed?" she asked.

Rion paled in front of her. The look of slowly dawning horror on his face must have matched the one Ririna's had perfectly. They stared at each other with both of their mouths hanging open before she spoke.

"No, Rion. You have to be joking me. You were never this naive! I swear Rion if you made Sara pregnant and run away, I will help Ginny to help her hunt you down and skin you alive." Ririna glared at him.

She scolded him like a grown up m.a.t.u.r.ed woman but then he was older than her. Shouldn't he act like an a.d.u.l.t? He should have known what could happen if he had unprotected s.e.x with a woman.

"I haven't thought about that. I couldn't believe I forgot about that. Holy crap." Rion muttered to himself now wondering if he has made Sara pregnant with his child. Such a fool why didn't he think about it anyway? What if Sara was indeed pregnant now? How could he face her?

Ririna turned off her laptop and began cleaning her desk before leaving her office. Rion had already gone home earlier because he said he needed to sort thing out before talking to Sara. Erica and Skyler with the two bodyguards that Eli hired were waiting for her in the parking lot. She put back her files in her drawer when she heard the door of her office open.

"Wait, Eli. I just need to prepare these doc.u.ments for Sara to file up." She said without looking up.

"I'm not that devil." A manly voice echoed within the room.

"Kian." Ririna glared at him. "Tell me why I shouldn't kill you right now?" she asked.

This man dared to harm her child. Was he so shameless that he could face her right now?

"You aren't supposed to be with him," Kian said. What's with all these shameless men who keep hitting on her? The other day it was that Shameless guy Hiro Liu, and now Kian was after her again. Ririna g.r.o.a.n.e.d.

"Whoever I want to be with isn't your business," she replied.

"I'm aware of that but how sure are you that he has already changed for the better? How sure are you that he will never make you cry again? He's the devil himself, Ririna." Kian insisted.

Ririna looked at him, her eyes showing conflicting emotions. He wasn't telling her anything new. Similar thoughts had appeared in her mind once or twice before, but she calmed herself down by looking at what was more important. She clenched her fists on her sides before looking at him with resolve on her face.

"I care about him." she softly said. Her eyes flashed as she spoke with certainty and conviction. "I'll continue to care and love him whatever happens."

Her feelings once stirred couldn't be easily broken down. She had faith in Eli that he wouldn't let her down this time. She knew that heartache couldn't be avoided while they are in a relationship but she wasn't the one not to think that any feeling she had for him was ever wasted. She gave her heart wholeheartedly into this relationship.

"You can't dissuade me of this. For all of you, you can see him as the devil, but for me, he is a man. My man. Whatever he did in the past was his to deal with and you have no right to constantly rub it on his face. He can continue to improve himself even if people like you try to stop him. There is no better man for me except him."
