PS I'm Over You

Ririna arrived at the Han mansion. It's almost more or less three months since the last time she visited her grandfather. When she woke up, Eli informed him that her grandfather had filed a claim for Skyler's custody and refused to accept his marriage proposal for her.

Ririna only sighed at her grandfather's antics. It seemed she had failed to inform him the details about Eli and Skyler. What's more, her grandfather had already set her up for someone to marry soon. As if she would follow her mother's steps. Unlike her mother, she will decide for herself and will not let anyone force her into a loveless marriage. Just look what happened to her mother's marriage to her useless father.

Her heart was now in Eli's hands and that would never change for a very long time. With Skyler and Eli on her side, there's nothing else she could wish for aside from to keep them safe and happy.

Ririna was welcomed by the family's old butler again as if her visit was already expected by her grandfather. He lead her to the study room where her grandfather was busy reading a book.

"Gramps." Ririna greeted him before sitting across the desk. She made sure that her back wouldn't touch the back of the chair since her wounds weren't yet fully healed. It had been a week since she woke up from her six week coma.

"Ririna. I see that you're awake. Are you feeling better now?" he brought down his book before clasping both his hand over the table.

"Yes, I'm good and healing nicely. I'm here because Eli told me what happened." Ririna said. She crossed her legs and cupped her chin with her hand. She looked at her grandfather, waiting for him to explain why he started a legal custody battle against Eli.

Her grandfather sighed and leaned his back on his chair. Looking at his granddaughter, he could see his dead daughter on her though something about Ririna made her different. Was it how her eyes flashed with mysterious glint? Or her smirk that told another story?

When he found out that someone tried to kill her, he was shaken to the core. His hands sweated with fury as he thought he had lost another member of his family. Ririna was the only lady with his direct bloodline. Skyler was also a Han so when the threat revealed itself, he thought of getting Skyler's custody from the devil himself.

"That's right. I don't think Gamaliel Park is worthy enough for you." He said. Someone working for the government as well as within the Underworld. What kind of life will Eli give to his precious granddaughter and to Skyler?

"What about me marrying another man?" Ririna asked.

This issue irked her fiancee for weeks. He didn't know how to convince Elder Han to cancel Ririna's engagement to another one.

"He's a good candidate, Ririna. He came from a well-known family. He didn't even mind that you already have a child out of wedlock."

Ririna frowned. She already knew that her grandfather was very old fashioned and traditional one hence the marriage that happened within the family were arranged by him. She wondered then why her mother didn't have enough backbone to disagree with his every whim and wishes.

If he thought she would marry another man that wasn't Eli, he is greatly mistaken. Not when their lives were deeply intertwined with each other.

"I will not marry anyone else, Gramps. I'm sorry but I have decided to accept Eli's marriage proposal. We're planning to get married soon. I hope you will give us your blessing."

"Hiro Liu is very interested to pursue this marriage. I already set up a date for you to meet up with him. At least give him a chance before you decide to marry the devil."

Hiro Liu? As in the Hiro Liu of Liu Xing Group of Companies? Another famous bachelor who is also known as a womanizer. Why would he want to marry her?

That twenty-nine-year-old man had some bad history with women. She gave a look of disappointment to his grandfather. Now she knew why her parents' marriage ended up in the garbage bin. Gramps didn't dig further information about the men he wanted for his child and granddaughter.

"Are you sure about this, Gramps? Didn't you know about his bad reputation with his women?"

"I know but he is the one who sought me for this marriage. I'm not that eager to make him your husband. I'm just saying that the devil isn't the only one out there. Why, if you only had married your friend Rion years ago, I wouldn't worry about you like this."

Ririna scoffed. She almost forgot that Rion was the first choice of her grandfather. When he found out that Ririna made friends with her wealthy curator who also owns a winery in Italy, he was ecstatic to make an arrangement between the two. But because she and Rion aren't s.e.x.u.a.lly attracted to each other, both of them declined her grandfather's suggestion.

"Rion is a good friend, Gramps. I won't make issues that will take his chance to find someone he will love and marry. Gramps, I will never be happy if you force me to another marriage arrangement." Ririna said with finality in her voice.

Her grandfather didn't respond but looked straight into her eyes as if gouging if she's serious. When he realized that he could not make her change her mind about the devil, he sighed before covering his face with both of his hands. He didn't want her to end up like Yelan, betrayed by her husband and killed in an almost remote area violently.

"Alright, I will withdraw my claim about Sky's custody but you have to make sure your child will be spared from the harsh reality of the devil's work. I don't want my little pumpkin end up ruined or dead because of him." He finally conceded.

"About your engagement to Hero Yun, you can meet him yourself tomorrow during your uncle's birthday dinner party. Decline his proposal personally if you want to," he added.
