Not Like In The Movies

"Hello beautiful ladies." The man flashed a sweet smile capable of calming down anyone's heart including Feng Jiu. The smile was so soothing immediately easing her heart and mind.

"Dovey!" Feng Jiu's heart jumped when she saw her fiancé as her gentle soul-soothing voice rang inside the room.

The two lover birds were stunned and could only look into each other's eyes forgetting that they were still a lot of people around them.

"Hey,i feel like we are somehow third-wheeled by them." ZhenZhu chuckled as she glanced at them. She was sure that the moment they left, Feng Jiu would be very pleased and she won't be sad anymore. It's better to leave soon!

Tian Yi paused, looking at her face with slight shock.

"Really? Little Zhu,you're kidding me right?" Feng Jiu stared her gaze at ZhenZhu. She sounded like she's teasing her now ah! Those silly women would soon throw bombs at her right now if she doesn't make a move.

"Well,we're on our way home. Take care of her, brother in-law to be." Miss White Head flashed a smile as she urges the ladies to leave now.

"Bye bye handsome, don't be too rough on her please." Rui Zhe giggled as she pushed Fei Shuang out of the house. The others also followed her in giggling as they all head for their cars.

Tian Yi said nothing and only smiled. He was feeling so embarrassed to say a word.

"You! I'll get you next time." Feng Jiu harrumphed. "Wait Fei Fei,i want to introduce you to my fiancé." She quickly stopped Rui Zhe from pushing Fei Shuang any further.

"You ladies leave first,i'll stay with Fei Shuang." ZhenZhu spoke to Rui Zhe as she gently snatched the handles of Fei Shuang's wheelchair from her. Rui Zhe only nodded with a smile then left.

"Fei Shuang,meet Ma Tian Yi." She introduced her to her fiancé with a smile on her face. With her gaze focusing on Tian Yi,she continued, "Dovey,meet my amazing friend, Lee Fei Shuang."

"It's good to finally meet you,Miss Lee. I've heard a lot about you." Tian Yi flashed a smile at Fei Shuang,making the woman have goosebumps. Feng Jiu had told him a lot about her. He didn't say anything about her condition because Feng Jiu told him how Fei Shuang didn't like it because she was embarrassed of herself and,for the fear that people do it out of mockery.

"....it's good to meet you too. I couldn't personally attend your wedding day because of my condition. So, i'm wishing you all the best today,on your wedding day and,in your life together. I leave my friends' care in your hands."

"It's alright. You've done more than enough.Thank you Fei Shuang." He said politely. And so,pleasantries were exchanged between the two.

Later,Fei Shuang and ZhenZhu left for home.

"Your friend is very nice lovey. Now i can finally have you all for myself." Tian Yi smiled as he grabbed Feng Jiu by the waist and licked his lips.

"You naughty boy,don't try to take advantage of me or i'll kick your little brother down there!" Feng Jiu smirked as she looked at him in the eye.

"Mmmh." Tian Yi mumbled, suddenly having goosebumps.He promised not to share bed with her until their wedding night. He had to keep his PROMISE. So,he let go of her that instant,making the woman laugh.

"It's so good to finally be home." Fei Shuang sighed as she maneuvered her wheels towards her room. ZhenZhu went to her own room too to drop Angel on his small comfy bed then,return to Fei Shuang who was already at her room.

"Let me help you sit on bed first, then get you changed to your pajamas." ZhenZhu spoke as she stepped forward to help her.

"I don't need to change,i just want to sleep." Fei Shuang yawned. She was tired to her bones and in need of sleep.

"As you wish,goodnight." ZhenZhu nodded as she tugged her into the blanket.

"...night..." Fei Shuang lazily waved her hand as she covered half of her body with the blanket.

The next morning, ZhenZhu woke up very early around 6:30 and prepared breakfast. She didn't want Fei Shuang to be late for her therapy again. She bathes Angel who was already up and fed him. By the time Fei Shuang got up,Angel had fallen asleep again.

"Come on and have breakfast." ZhenZhu smiled when she saw Fei Shuang with yesterday's pink dress,but it was crumpled and a messy hair panda eyes. She was already up before she even woke her up.

"Yes," came the blunt reply. "I didn't expect i'd be up so early." Fei Shuang maneuvered her wheels to the dining area and glanced at the hot bowl of chicken noodles-soup.

ZhenZhu sat on the dining table as she spoke,

"I'm surprised too hee hee. Now say ah~"

Fei Shuang looked at her with an I-DON'T-BELIEVE-IT expression. Is she trying to baby sit her now? This is embarrassing!

"That's alright girlfriend. I can...ah" Fei Shuang was about to speak when Zhen Zhu already stuffed the chopsticks in her mouth,blocking her from speaking. Tasting the delicious noodles when her stomach was empty,the woman couldn't help but gulped the noodles.

"You don't have to decline,now hurry up and open your mouth." Zhen Zhu spoke politely,not leaving space for her to evade. "My arm hurts..." She makes a face pretending her arm hurts from holding it up for so long.

"I'm sorry." Fei Shuang apologized and opened her mouth. "Yum." She said as she swallowed the noodles with a tight-lipped smile.

"I'm so happy.. Now, eat more~ say ah~" Zhen Zhu was delightful to fed her best friend. She felt as if she would be gone for two years. What if her bestie lose weight?

"Agh!" Fei Shuang obediently opened her mouth wide enough to stuffed the noodles.

'She's so happy that i can't ask her to stop. I'll be nice this time,just this time.' Fei Shuang thought to herself.

Zhen Zhu was very happy to see Fei Shuang no more speaking and quietly ate the noodles. She was so obedient! Just like that,in 5 minutes, Fei Shuang finished all the meal.

"Good,good. Now,let me help you shower." Zhen Zhu put aside the bowl as she heads for the bathroom.

7:56 am, General Hospital

"Huh? What's with that lonely expression?" Fei Shuang asked Zhen Zhu subtly, as they head for Mr Shen's office.

"I-i wasn't crying ! I just got something in my eye...." ZhenZhu clearly denied as she wiped the tears at the edge of her eyes.

Fei Shuang said nothing as she kept her gaze on Zhen Zhu. Zhen Zhu looks back at her with sympathetic eyes.

"Don't look at me like that. I also can't bear to see you leave. My heart feels heavy just thinking about parting ways with you!" Fei Shuang dramatically wiped her non-existence tears.

"Hnng~Don't worry, i'll be back soon. It's just two days time." Zhen Zhu said softly as she sobbed internally.

"It's always so delightful to have you around. I'll wait for you."

"I've already made contact with Didi [1] for you. They'll pick you up by 11 and ride you home. I'll call you immediately i get there. Be safe,don't eat too much meat, don't spend too much time on TV, look after Angel for me,don't...don't..blah blah blah...." Zhen Zhu mentioned a lot of things which Fei Shuang, shouldn't do for nearly 3 minutes.

3 minutes later...

"So...." Zhen Zhu was about to continue her LECTURE when Fei Shuang stopped her on time.

"Alright alright,i get it all. You're acting like my mom now,we're already at the pt section. You should go now."

"Okay,okay." Zhen Zhu bend a bit and gently hugged her tight. She couldn't hold her tears any longer.

Fei Shuang could feel the warmth coming from Zhen Zhu's body as she accepted her hug. She could slowly feel tears forming at the corner of her eyes. It's been a while since she stayed at Zhen Zhu's place and she had to admit, she spoiled her a bit too much. Now she won't have anyone to help her bath,sit on the toilet,prepare food and make her forget her problems for two days. She shouldn't let her go but that'll be selfish of her.

"Okay,your should go. I don't want you to be late for the flight. Big Jiu would be sad."Fei Shuang sniffed as she let go of her friend's embrace.

"I-i love you.Take care..." Zhen Zhu sobbed as she let go too. She uses her handkerchief to wipe her tears.

"I love you too. Have fun." Fei Shuang weakly smiled.

*sob sob*

Fei Shuang could feel the tears dropping down her cheeks and wet her shirt as she watched Zhen Zhu leave. She just couldn't bear watching it....Her heart ached.

In a blink of an eye, 3 hours past. Li Chu focused mainly on developing strength in the core and legs of Fei Shuang during those three hours. He helped her performed the straight leg raise and the treadmill walking therapy in order to help balance her and manages how much weight she withstand.

One person assisted with each of her legs and another one helped stabilize her back to ensure that her posture was in check.

The reason why she had to go through such exercise was because it helps motivate the patient and practice what it feels like to walk again.

Thus,Fei Shuang enjoyed every bit of those 3 hours especially when she was helped raised to stand on her feet again. She felt like the normal days before the accident.

When the pt exercises were over, Fei Shuang took her leave as usual. Right after she maneuvered her wheelchair out of the elevator at the first floor to contact Didi, only then did she realized that she left her purse back at Mr Shen's office. She immediately turns back her wheels to the elevator as she let out a big sigh. She waited patiently for the elevator door to open before pushing her wheels in. She annoyingly pressed the button again.

2 minutes later...

Fei Shuang maneuvered her wheelchair to the pt section. Immediately she pushes in towards his office as she reached to open the door, she could hear two family voices having a conversation.

"...why didn't you tell Miss Lee that she's paraplegic? I mean she deserves to know that she won't be able to walk ever again." Pan Er asked knowing the answer very well.

At that moment,Fei Shuang felt a big pang in her heart and as if her soul was torned apart. She actually frozed on the spot like a statue.
