Not Like In The Movies

"Well then,let the party begin." Feng Jiu announces to the guests as she held Fei Shuang by the hand.

The others continued with what their doing making the house immediately turned lively.

"I'm sorry for keeping you around the bush... i didn't want to spoil the show." ZhenZhu wiped her nonexistent tears at the corner of her eyes as she spoke in a gloomy tone of voice. She looked pitiful at the moment,making Fei Shuang's blank face softened.

"It's really ok..this is Feng Jiu's day,i also want to be part of it." Fei Shuang spoke softly with absolute certainty. It is better to focus on the fun in front of their eyes. Feng Jiu accompanied them towards her mother and her grandma's place to say hi.

They paid respect to the two elderly women. Feng Jiu's mother, Feng Mian spend a few minutes consoling Fei Shuang of her condition. Her heart ached seeing a girl who was always lively now live in a world of despair.

After that, Feng Jiu decide to borrow Fei Shuang for a minute before she meets up with the rest of the ladies gang.

"Feifei,i've got to introduce you to my fiancé's relatives while we're here." Feng Jiu said as the her eyes glossed over the ladies standing around doing one thing or the other. She walked to her back and pushed Fei Shuang to the backyard of the house.

The backyard was also decorated with flowers giving it a homey, rustic vibe, right down to the shower tablescape. A colorful quilt-turned-tablecloth with matching serveware was accompanied with strawberry themed desserts, champagne and treats. There was also a flower wall for photo booth drop. This bridal shower is gonna be fun!

As they walked further,Fei Shuang could see about four women sitting around a table making flower crowns.

They looked up and paused in the midst of their conversations. One woman with red hair happily spoke. "Sister in-law, we're about to finish the flower crowns in minutes. All preparations have already been made."

Feng Jiu smiled. "I can see. Well, that was so fast." She glanced over at Fei Shuang and introduced. "This is Fei Shuang, my close friend that we welcomed a while ago."

"Hi. It's nice to meet you all." Fei Shuang waved her hand at them to show respect.

At this time,the lady with red hair spoke again. "Oh, you're the one that was supposed to be sister in-law's maid of honor. It's nice to meet you too,we'll introduce ourselves now. My name is Zhao Bai. I'm Tian Yi's half sister."

Another woman, who's looking much older in age with fake blonde hair followed after. "My name is Hui Ying." She glanced to the woman beside her with black shortcut-hair and continued, " and this is my sister Hui Wen. We're Tian Yi's aunts."

Xiao Lan looked up as she smiled. "Xiao Lan. I'm Tian Yi's cousin."

Fei Shuang closed her eyes and smiled. They seem to be very nice people judging from their behaviors. After having a nice chat,they decided to go back inside the house to continue with the tea party.

The shower started normally by following the tradition. The women first filled the mason jar that contained popsicle sticks with some newlywed date night ideas. Fei Shuang gave a speech on Feng Jiu's biography and the guests watched old wedding photos of her families.

Everyone got to enjoy the sugary treats like rock candy,marshmallow,rice Krispies,doughnuts, cupcakes and seasonal c.o.c.ktails in personalized cups.

Later on, everyone went to the backyard and was given a flower crown to wear for the photo op. The crowns were created with faux blooms. Rui Zhe, who was the photographer, made everyone do crazy poses and the unspeakable.The group photo was shared so that everyone can enjoy the hilarity.

After that,it was time for pretty hilarious games. To keep the momentum going, some were a bit bawdy, some sweet and tame. The bride was asked a series of questions like...

"Who said 'I love you' first?"

"What is the groom's best feature?"

"Who is the worst driver?"

"When was your first kiss?"

...

After a few of c.o.c.ktails, each guest was given a few cards to write dares for the brides—everything from hugging a stranger to singing an impromptu love song about her fiancé. Feng Jiu was left to decide.

For a night in, the ladies break out the board games. Next, they try a riff on Pictionary that can be seriously raunchy and laugh-until-you-cry funny.

By the time the games ended,it was already dark. Because of the fun,no one noticed how time flies so fast. It was 12 a.m right in the middle of the night. The elderly women decided to leave and a few guests too. Tomorrow would be their flight so no one wanted to be late, except for the perverted ladies who knew they'd be flying on a private jet and can leave at any time. Only the ladies gang remained in the house. That was when Su Ying changed the atmosphere.
