His eyes became blurry and he felt dizzy suddenly. Empress Dowager held his hand and pinched slightly so he felt a bit better.

''It is her...''

That was enough for him. Even if she was just an illusion he was willing to be in that dream. Even for one second more. His eyes hungrily looked towards the door and his whole being shook.

A woman in grand dressing followed by two more women in grand dressing walked slowly and made everyone kneel in awe and kowtow deeply.

''Long live Imperial Noble Consort!'' As she passed people kneeled like a slow wave and greeted her filled with admiration and reverence.

''Who is spouting nonsense inside this country?'' The old man walked right beside her with stock and even prince gasped as he saw the old man. The sacred monk that made predictions. Even his father went to him...

Princess Lihua rose her head and suddenly felt coldness enveloping as she stared at the woman slowly approaching her. ''Just lowly concubine dares to rise the voice towards me. You dare?!''

Liu Mei stopped and looked at the two people with irony. ''Why wouldn't I?''

With a snort, she turned around while the two Noble Consorts rose her clothes bit up revealing beautiful pearl shoes so her clothes won't touch blood while their dresses soaked inside it. But they completely ignored it.

Servants rushed and brought cushions for their masters and the three women kneeled and kowtowed deeply as protocol asked. ''Long Live Emperor. Tens of tens of tens of thousands of years!'' they never heard of such words so everyone listened in astonishment while he grumbled. ''How long should I live then?''

She loudly proclaimed while kowtowing deeply. The two women synced with her but kept their voice lower so they could be heard but her voice was more pronounced.

The whole court stood up and started again kowtowing towards Emperor in reverence. They knew if she does that and they don't, how long their head will be on their necks. Looking at General Hua's expression as he glanced over their heads their backs became soaked in sweat.

Liu Mei rose her head and with the help of the two Nobel Ladie's she stood up and looked calmly at him. I didn't forgive you, but I am here. By your side. Her eyes told him that and more making him want to jump and pick her up, but the hand of Empress Dowager kept him in his seat.

No, he cants disrespect her like that. He looked at the two girls that stood right behind her and their bloody dresses and coughed. ''I know your hearts. Now go and change your dresses. Pretty ladies like you should not be stained with such dirty blood. Go.''

The two women bowed deeply and went to the side rooms to change their clothes. Somehow they knew that similar situation might happen so they were ready.

But Liu Mei furrowed her eyebrows. She would like to take her clothes off as well. The headdress was already so heavy that she felt like her tiny neck will break anytime soon. Her trying to concentrate made him rise his lips in corners and he waved his hand and pointed at one of the free chairs on the side.

''Honorable Seer sit. Imperial Nobel Consort sits nearby as well.'' He could see her face becoming relived and almost laughed. Luckily he learned how to control his expression for years so he just looked at the Princess again.

the prince looked at the Seer and saw him counting something and then staring at him with worry.

''Honorable Seer, what is it to make you worry?''

''This county is indeed saved by a woman. But your country might get destroyed by a woman. Not your sister tho. Does your father has concubine or woman by his side with yellow eyes?''

the both got startled and looked at each other. ''Our mother...''

''Oh boy. It seems she made a grave mistake. Grave one. I fear when you go back home you won't find your country in one piece again. The war is imminent...'' He shook his head while making the prince went on knees.

''Please honourable seer what can we do to stop the war? Our country can't afford war.'' He sincerely begged and kowtowed.

''I fear there is only one person that can help you.'' The man shook his head.

Prince rushed toward his sister and made her kneel and kowtow towards the Emperor.

''Please Emperor, I am willing to become your slave for rest of my life. No matter if digging or cleaning pots I am willing to do it all. Our people are poor. If there is war, I fear the people will be harmed the most. I beg of you, please!!!'' This time he started even crying making his sister look at him in a daze.

''Why are we begging him?'' But suddenly a slap made her almost faint.

''Stop talking! Our people might die now if we don't beg him for help. Our country people can't afford a war, you know that well.'' He screamed while tears flooded his cheeks.

Princess Lihua stood up and snorted. ''I am princess I will not lower myself...'' But was again smacked but this time from another person.

Liu Mei stood over her like a Goddess of Fury and shook while pointing at her face. ''Ungrateful creature! Those people are the same that paid for those beautiful clothes on your body and food in your belly. On their backs, you grew up and now you trample over their lives and pride? Yes, I am just lowly concubine! So what! For people of my country, I was willing to cut my hair with all the skin. For people in this country, I was willing to pray until I faint. For people of this country, I was willing to anything! Her word reverberated and made everyone shake. But she was not done.

''People live and honour our Emperor as he is the head of the country. They pay taxes so the soldiers could protect them and so they could live in safety. The Emperor is not just a man. He is a ruler. He is a father and he is God! So I should be grateful that you didn't kowtow to him. I would feel disgusted if you did. Such a dirty heart. Help prince!'' Her words were suddenly applied and servants rushed to bring him a stool, Water to wash and even a small table with tea while she just turned around and left perplexed woman standing there.

''I told you...a tiger is born. Now better watch out or she will claw your eyes out.''

''I don't mind being blind and see only her. Then I don't have to see the dirty things around me.''

But what happened next made him almost faint.

''Imperial Noble Consort did the deed with dragon and ended up her ill fate and this country's ill fate. Suddenly the two people disappeared making everyone jump in fright. Including Emperor.

But he was furious.

''You damnable old geezer, give me my wife back. Sh e is the only one that will ever sit by my side. She is the only one that will touch my body. Five years? Fine! If that is what it takes for me to get clean. Five years I shall wait! I promise by my royal and dragon blood. No other woman shall sit by my side ever again. Only she!''

Heaven suddenly clouded and rumbling could be heard. Bolts of Lightning shot next to him not even one touching his body. He didn't move and repeated while looking at sky.

''Only she shall sit by my side! I give word to heaven and hell, to light and darkness. If I brake my promise my body should rot and my soul should disappear in nothingness.''

When his words stopped the clouds cleared ray of silver light shone over him, bathing him in it and making him look ethereal. Just two everyone realized that night came and the full moon shone right now.

How much time actually passed?

He looked at his seat high up the stairs and sighed. ''Five years. You promised to bring her back then...''
