Mmorpg: Unity

Chapter 3 - Plains walker...

He felt calm now that he had a weapon in hand. It made him part of plains, this tiny little spear helped remember his basic training. He checked himself out, besides his low health which was regenerating slowy. He knew his hand would be fine once he reaches 80% health which should only take a few minutes.

Now he thought for real his journey begins. He started his walk in earnest, south along the river Tymark his rear protected by tall grass. On the way he would meet many plains creates like a Shongololo which is basically a giant centipede with hard shell and poor attack. It only took longer to kill due its shell. One should know that the Great Plains is a fertile land many various types of creatures, some of the most dangerous were StormVultures, Diamondback leopards, Elemantal lions{known to have over six variants}, this is not even the various legendary creature said to rule each region and one mustn't forget the plants.

He did get a fright when he thought he bumped into a Werehyena but it's was in fact an illusion created by the flowering of a deathroot. He escaped the illusion by willpower alone. Shaka had an incredible mental fortitude, that allowed some advantages against an assortment of status effects. The air felt slightly cooler, begun to pick up his pace as the crushing sounds of flowing water rung in his ear. He drank his fill, killed a river bass, a sudden golden shine enveloped his body as he entered level 1 he opened his stats window he had five points to spend

Shaka needed to cover more distance he already had spent three hours in the plains and covered less than 5km, a distance that he should be able cover in 30 minutes especially on flat land of The Great Plains. He moved swiftly attacking everything he saw from rainbow butterfly that only gave 5 experience points and only dropped preserving nectar, further{1 kilo meter away} into the plains a black iron horned Wildebeest [youngling] lvl5 attack 8-10 defence 8

Hp 250 Mp 100

Skills:????[passive], charge

Info:A youngling always found close to its herd. Beware killing might cause the whole to attack you.

What made this unusual was that a herd creature was alone, Shaka thrust his spear quickly aiming at its heart, as he was taught, the creature was stunned for 2 seconds as the spear pieced its heart. Heavy blow! - 17 if he had more strength and pierced the whole heart a critical attack would have been triggered directly removing 25% percent of the its health and stunning it for 4 second coupled with internal bleeding effect which would take 1% health per second for 30 seconds.

When the saw the stun take effect, he lifted his shield, fell into a basic pose and then he launched his second, aimed at the neck stabbed twice. Afterwards he spun towards body of the wildebeest. It started to turn its head towards him, Shaka flung his shield directly into the head of the wildebeest causing it to receive another one second stun.

He felt invigorated, his training was not a waste. He thrusted his spear into the heart once more by repeatedly doing these series of movements he kept the wildebeest in control until it died.

He quickly looted the beast and proceeded south. On his way the loot was filled mainly crafting materials. He fought a small Sabervulture, one of few creatures of the plains that was more bark than bite. He also saw an Obsidian Mamba a rank 4 creature when it looked at him he felt his souls leave his body...the Mamba didbt attack because it would gain nothing his life wasn't even worth one xp point to this apex predator. He needed at two minutes to make sure he was still alive.

He had killed almost 13 creatures today and was only a few steps away from leveling up. The afternoon evening would soon be upon him. He needed to find shelter. The shelter he chose was the former nest of an Impundulu [lightening weaver], the nest sat high in one of many Boabab trees that dotted the plains. From this height Shaka had clear view of the path ahead and was free from the Tokoloshi[similar to a kapa] one of most powerful demonkin subspecies in darkness of the Great Plains, their cousins that live in deep waters of Frozen Sea found to the southeast of Great Plains are known to killed many travelers seeking riches of the Frost King M'baku.

He ate a piece of meat freshly cooked by using the embers sack of a fireant he meet earlier, he also used one of the quills as a skewer. The petals of a Pantherlily, a giant found close to rivers.

Shaka thought of how amazing Mvezo city must be as he had read an article released by a beta tester that said by choosing an area one is fimilar with it would allow one to have an easier time dealing with the challenges of the game... This type of thinking proved especially detrimental to Niklas Markov of the belt as the area he chose in Unity was also called the belt and He was stuck on a series of Islands for the first year of Unity an error he might never recover. Whether this would also apply to Shaka and the friends he convinced to start in the Great plains only time will tell...
