Mmorpg: Unity

Chapter 4 - A day like any other

The next morning Shaka checked his surroundings, he jumped down from the nest, spear in hand directly onto a Spiderpig that had not yet borrowed away into its underground hideaway. Unable to properly defend itself the the Spiderpig lost the the battle. Level Up! The golden light went off, he smiled... About fifty meters away a shadow suddenly moves towards him... As he was about to loot the the Spiderpig a young lady no older than 13 bust out of the surrounding grass and yelled at him to stop what he was doing. He immediately pulled out his shield and placed his spear next to his shield in a defence position ready to attack. The young girl gestured with her hands that's comes in peace. He was taken aback, unwilling to let down his defence he tried to see her stats all he got was a name all other stats were question marks. Surprisingly she was an npc a level 10, beastshaman with the title of spiritcaller but all he knew was her name Zinhle.

He cautiously asked her what does she want. Her face immediately turned sour as she shouted name yourself! He said his name and she repeated I said name yourself only now did he realize what she actually meant. So he said llanga, Ndau, Nzam, Shaka... The names he gave donate his clan and the way he just said it immediately told Zinhle that he is a descendent of one the Great Plains Tribes... She mumbled something under her breath as if talking to someone right next to her and said follow me, he didn't understand why she was so forcefully. He bent over in an attempt to loot the Spiderpig, she said to him it belongs to soil. Follow!....I will not say it again. The chill he got from her made him comply.

They must have walked almost the whole morning. At least he was traveling in same direction he had intended to go. Most shocking of all, not a single creature had approached them let alone attacked them. Finally they came upon a lake valley...Wow! He said in surprise as he saw a village perfectly nestled into the surrounding area. As they approached the entrance four guards atop of brown horses stopped them. Once they saw her they bowed respectfully and didn't block the way. As they walked past the gate he was greeted by the familiar sights and sounds of a market place. Don't dally Zinhle said to Shaka as if she knew he was about to run off into the crowd. He simply looked around seeing all manner of shops and people. He followed her directly into one of bigger Kraals found on the only hill in the village, she gestured for to sit as she kneeled beside him.

Daughter! An elderly woman smiled as she her child. Zinhle replied to her "mother", I have returned I found "this",rudely pointing at Shaka, in the plains below the Qudu mountain trail. He is of the Sun, not yet meet with soil, nor has he traveled river, at least he is kissed by the ancestors.

He was very confused the old ways only existed in the memory of very few people and although it could be accessed in the Great hall in the central plaza in district 4 no one really went there anymore. On a side note it must be made clear that the hall actually exists in every district in all mega cities found in Africa.

As she heard what Zinhle had said , she lit up some herbs and blew in direction of Shaka and then tossed the bones onto the ground. She looked at him and asked your name he listed his clan names as before then his own name. She layed back and said in a low voice good your name has power. Shaka still basically a deer in front of headlights didn't know what to do so he just went with the flow.

She rose up again his kissed by sunlight coming through the sun roof she had skin light like caramel, her hair tired up in a dignified manner, it was then she said to Shaka are you willing to help us?

Shaka said with what? Still very confused as to was going on. Zinhle quickly stood up and said this is my mother First Matriarch, Nandipha, The Rain Queen, Nguni, Daughter of the heaven's, blessed by the Fon-liza, Sun chaser , The Shepard. Bow! Truth be told none of this meant anything to Shaka if anything it further confused him.

BOW! Zinhle said to Shaka, he did so without rising from he's seat, a few servants, Murmured amongst themselves. Coming to his senses he quickly corrected his error and properly placated the situation. Then the Shepard asked again are you willing to help us? Ding! Tribal quest available. A system notification rang in his ear, he clicked the information tab on the quest. It gave a brief description of what tribal quest was but in order for him to find out the specifics he would have to ask Nandipha.

Tribal quest are one of the most important type of quest handed down by Npc's the rewards are all high tier, while the danger is equal to the reward. Tribal quests can affect all 72 tribes found in Unity. Caution is recommended.

Shaka wasn't sure he wanted to this kind of quest as it would no doubt be more than he could handle at his current level and he didn't have friends to help out, he could only laugh at his misfortune.

Inside the Kraal all eyes were on him, when he raised his to politely decline the quest, the Queen began talk again explaining to him that a young had been bewitched by Anansi. While under his control had stolen seven treasures made by Amma the goddess of creation when she was making all that there has been or will ever be. Most importantly he had to get the only known seed fragments of ADANSONIA[ the first Boabab tree aka the world tree aka the tree of knowledge] which was split into seven small boxes which hold the stolen treasures.

Will you accept the challenge of our people and become a hero of The Sun and Soil?
