Lyricist: Her Revenge

Chapter 92 - Pinkie promise

A few moments later, Amy walked out of the school gate alone while adjusting her handbag on her shoulder. Seeing that she had returned, the man leaning against the wall adjusted his sunglasses whilst looking up. He was in an all-black outfit and looked exceptionally handsome. But, alas she didn't pay a single glance at him.

'She wouldn't have ignored me to such an extent if she knew it was me', D.K. thought when she passed by him.

'Never mind', D.K. shrugged nonchalantly, 'I still have my daughter.'

He entered the school premises with his hands inside the pocket. The school bell had not yet gone off. So, kids were playing around in the park. D.K. glanced everywhere in search of his daughter. Finally, he spotted Miracle among a bunch of kids playing the tiny merry-go-round. He inched closer as he let go of his mask and goggles.

"Miracle!" he called out softly. The little girl lifted her head to look at him and he flashed a smile. He gestured for her to come over. The girl shot him an astonished glance before walking over to him with her tiny legs.

She pointed her tiny finger towards him, "Who are you? How do you know me?"

D.K. smiled as he squatted down in front of her, "I am Dylan. Yep, I know you even before you were born."

"How?" Miracle placed her hands at her hip.

Instead of answering her question, he asked, "I heard that you are looking for your Daddy. Do you want to know who he is? How did he and your Mumma meet?"

At the mention of her Daddy, Miracle flashed him a happy grin, "Yes! Yes! I want to know everything. Do you know the story? Will you tell me?"

"Before that", D.K. smiled, "Will you promise me a thing?"

"Okay", the little girl wore cute baby expression as she raised her pinkie finger at him, "Pinkie promise."

"Pinkie promise", D.K. smiled as he intertwined his little finger with hers.

Just then, the school bell rang and the kids, young and elder alike, started rushing towards the school building. He glanced at the child before him before saying, "Yu should better be off now. Be good and remember your Mumma's words, okay? I will talk to you later."

"Okay", she smiled warmly before she rushed with the other kids.

D.K. stood up and smiled. His mission to conquer Amy's heart again was on steady progress.
