Lyricist: Her Revenge

Chapter 93 - Your main inspiration was Eddie herself

Elixir Fashion

The office building was in chaos. Staff members who had been from the very beginning were not ready to believe in any way that Eddie had plagiarized someone's works. The recent members were stirred up in a dilemma. Amongst them the only calm person was Millie. She sat in the restroom with the others with her usual emotionless face. Her arms were crossed over her c.h.e.s.t. It seemed like she was expecting such things to happen.

"Did we do a mistake in joining Elixir?" a young girl of twenty spoke in a grim tone.

"I am not sure. The elders were adamant that Eddie is not like that."

"Yeah, the elders asked to wait and keep patience."

"They said that we should not withdraw our trust so easily."

"I don't know", a boy said harshly, "No matter what, I will resign today."

That very moment, the look in Millie's eyes change as she sat upright. She pulled a long face and said, "Why? I heard that your main inspiration was Eddie herself."

"I...", the boy stuttered.

"Whatever", a girl who appeared kid, said, "I guess we should follow the elders' footsteps. After all, they are more experienced than us and they have been working here since its inception."

The people in the room were pushed into deep thought and Millie grew restless.

"You are right", the boy from earlier who spoke about the resignation.

"I am in too", another girl said.

"Me too."

"Me too."

Almost all were ready to give Eddie another chance. Millie silently gritted her teeth as her back stiffened. This was not what she wanted. She wanted to push Eddie to the verge of loneliness. To the extent of self-blame. She would have no one except herself to blame for ruining so many lives. To the extent of suffering and humiliation, she faced because of Eddie. But the outcome was otherwise. The employees were ready to be by her side.

...

Inside Eddie's office

Eddie was on the verge of tears as she kept pulling her hair. The oldest employees were comforting her.

"My dear", an elderly lady patted her back, "We trust you from the very start. Since senior Adley trust you so much, we trust you too."

"If Dad didn't place so much trust in me, you wouldn't have trusted me. Am I right?" Eddie spoke out her mind.

"That...", the lady was at loss for words.
