Late at night

Elixir Fashion

A shadowy figure walked slowly over the entrance. With a gentle push to the door, it opened and the figure entered. The figure shoved its hand in his pocket and pulled out a bunch of keys. Then, it slowly unlocked the door and moved upstairs. The figure moved and stopped directly in front of the main office. The nameplate said, Chief Designer, Eddie Adley. The figure unlocked it, moved in and switched on the lights. As the lights glared in the room, the face of the figure came into view. An emotional face framed in short black hair. The figure slowly walked up to the nearby cupboard and squatted down below. The figure unlocked the lowermost shelf and pulled out a few colorful files. It flipped through the pages before it stood up straight. Then, it locked the door, exited and locked the door of the room. Slowly but silently, it exited the building like it entered and disappeared into the night.

The next morning

Pink Villa

Alice was busy prepping breakfast for her and Daniel while he was busy watching TV, leaning on the sofa. Winter wind blew on her face, giving her goosebumps. She was wearing a woolen poncho and a pair of white palazzo pants. Daniel had a woolen coat on with a muffler and a pair of brown pants. Suddenly, the news anchor from inside the TV started speaking in a fashionable way.

"Famous fashion designer Eddie Adley and founder of Elixir Fashion accused of stealing designs from Jeremy Ferbs, another fashion designer. She had won a recent fashion show. It is said that the designs used in the show were designed by Jeremy. He said that he was threatened to keep quiet but he finally had the courage to speak up. Let's see the interview we had with him."

Daniel sat up straight while Alice stopped cutting the veggies. Both of them had a disbelieving scowl on their faces.

Very soon, a middle-aged man's face came into view. He was surrounded by microphones of various channels, "Yeah, she had plagiarized my designs. I was threatened at gunpoint."

Alice left the kitchen and sat by Daniel. They exchanged glances before they nodded. Soon enough, they were seen heading out of the Villa. Daniel hoped on his Bentley while Alice took her Porsche. They drove out one by one in the opposite direction.

Elle High School

Parents and kids were busy jostling around. Some kids were playing around while some held their respective parents' hands.

"Mumma", a little girl was holding her hands with her Mom and was swaying it from side to side. The woman and the child were all smiles. The woman was wearing a white top, a pair of jeans & a grey woolen coat. There was handbag hanging from her shoulder and her hair was tied into a ponytail.

"Miracle", the woman called out softly, "Do you remember what Mumma told you?"

"Yes, Mumma", Miracle chirped softly in her school uniform.

"Good girl", Amy patted her head and led her inside the school gate.

A man was leaning against the school wall and was watching the mother-daughter pair closely.
