Lyricist: Her Revenge

Chapter 90 - Blind Date (3)

Very soon, the waitress returned with the fruit juices. She leaned over & placed a drink in front of Amy. But as she was about to place Harry's drink, she spilled the entire glass on his sweater. Both, Amy and Harry jumped up from their seats.

"Oh!" the waitress panicked, "I am sorry. I'm extremely sorry!"

"It's okay", Harry waved his hands, "Where's the washroom?"

"That way", the waitress pointed to her right and gestured a waiter to come over. He was the same one whom D.K. had whispered something.

D.K. sneered when he saw the man being led away to the washroom and a smirk inserted itself on his face. The waiter nodded back.

Harry kept murmuring angrily all the way to the washroom. He kept brushing the juice stains on his sweater.

"Sir", the waiter smiled politely, "The girl is a newbie. Don't mind her."

"Okay, okay!"

Then, he led him in. He pulled out some tissue papers and handed them to Harry.

"Sir, I will take my leave", the waiter spoke.

"Okay."

Saying so, the waiter exited the washroom and locked it from outside. Then, he inserted a signboard, saying, 'Under Construction' Quickly, he disappeared from the site.

Harry used up the tissues to clean the mess on his shirt. When he was done, he went up to the door. But to his surprise, he found that he couldn't open it. He exerted pressure because he thought that it was jammed. After repeated attempts, he was unable to unlock it. He concluded someone might have locked the door. He shoved his hand inside his pockets to fish out his phone.

But lo! He had left his phone inside his car after switching it off so that nobody could disrupt his blind date. He facepalmed himself because he found that he was a real sc.u.m.

On the other hand, Amy kept glancing towards the corridor that led to the washroom. D.K. was having a hard time concealing his smile. His plan had worked. Now, was the need to execute the last step. Very soon, he saw the same waitress walking up to Amy. He smiled in satisfaction. His final step would be completed now.

"Ma'am", the waitress called out softly.

Amy was busy gazing out of the window. She snapped out of her trance, "Yes?"

"This", the waitress showed her a note.

Amy took the note from her hand. She gave it a complicated look. Not too far, D.K. had a perfect smile on his face. The note was handwritten.

It said, "Sorry, Amy! You see, our meeting today was followed by an unlucky event. I don't think we have any luck in being together. Thank, it was nice to meet you."

Amy wheezed out and gave a silly smile before she paid her part of the bill. Then, she walked out of the hotel as nothing happened. D.K. pulled tight at his hoodie when she passed by him.
