Lyricist: Her Revenge

Chapter 88 - Blind Date (1)

Millie saw Jake smile as he got inside the car. Like a gentleman, he had made Eddie sit beside his seat. Very soon, the car disappeared into the night. Hre palms were curled up into fists. Her fist was so tight that her short nails dug into her palms. Just then someone burst in through the door of her room.

"Ma'am", The security guard called her, "It's already 8 p.m."

Millie turned & nodded with a polite smile. She had shut herself inside her office room for almost half an hour. She spoke in a low voice, "You go and wait outside. I will lock the rooms and then leave."

Hearing her, the security guard opened his mouth to say something but nothing came out. Sensing his hesitation, Millie smiled, "You can trust me. After all, Ma'am has let me in."

The security nodded with serious consideration, "Okay!" He quietly left the room.

An evil smile crept into Millie's face. She looked at the bunch of keys that were hanging on the peg. She snatched them away & left the room. She checked & locked every room, trying different keys on them. Finally, she stopped by Eddie's room. She locked her room too, but she did something that she didn't do with the other keys. She took out a soap cake & punched the impression of the key on it. She slipped the soap cake carefully in a bag & headed outside. On the way, she handed over the keys to the security guard. No one noticed the evil glint that flashed in her eyes.

Bocados de Queso Restaurant

The lounge was dimly lit. People entered & went out as they pleased. Many were partying & many were gulping down their emotions with all the assortments of delicious c.o.c.ktails. Amy found herself a quiet corner as she sat down. She wore a checked shirt & black pants with a pair of black furry boots. A caramel-colored, long overcoat that she wore made her petite & tiny. She rubbed her hands & blew on them. Her long hair was tied into a neat ponytail. After some pestering by her Grandma & looking forward to her daughter's face, she had finally agreed on a blind date. Miracle, her daughter, often asked, "Where is my Daddy? When will I meet him?"

She just blatantly lied, "Of course! We will meet him someday. He lives in America."

In an attempt to give her daughter a paternal identity, she had come today to meet the designated person. As much she knew, the man called Harry Stewart, was a traditional & orthodox man. He believed in fate & destiny, bad & good luck. He was a businessman with a great hand in business.

Amy looked around in anticipation. She had decided on some conditions for the marriage if it reached that point.

No physical relationsh.i.p.s. No kids. Inheritance rights to Miracle.

Very soon, she saw a man in his early thirties in a red sweater & a pair of black pants, entered.
