Cath was on a leave for a few days. So, she spent some time cleaning the mess in her tiny apartment. Just that, a chime turned in, indicating a message arrival. She saw it was on WhatsApp. She opened it & saw a message from Aaron.

'Hi, sweetie. What are you up to?'

Cath chuckled before replying, 'I'm in my bath, with only a glass of wine & few bubbles for company.' She somehow felt that she had become a little daring.

He texted back, 'Cath, are you trying to kill me or what?'

'Right now you're more useful to me alive!'

'You're a naughty girl, Cath. Behind those flushed cheeks & that timid air of yours.'

'I don't see what you're talking about!'

'It was just an observation!'

'And do you like it?'

'I don't like the fact that right now you're not with me!'

Seeing those words on her phone screen, Cath skipped a beat before replying, 'Is it?'

'Hmm...where are you?'

'At home.'

'Then, stay. I'll visit you tonight.'

Cath kept down her phone with a silly smile on her face.

Four people were sitting on a table inside a restaurant.

"Who told you to accept her invitation?" Eddie cast a threatening glare upon Daniel, ready to burn him alive. She was wearing a blue dungaree with white floral prints & a pair of white sneakers.

"Ah! She's such a cling, you know that", Jake came for Daniel's defense. He was wearing a blue shirt & a pair of white ripped jeans paired with a pair of white shoes.

"Don't you dare defend him!" Eddie snarled at Jake while he shrieked back, "She's such a pain in the ass!"

"It's better that I brought my notebook along", Alice heaved a sigh without lifting her eyes from her notebook. She was wearing a black strapless short frock & a pair of black boots.

"My bad", Eddie pouted, "I'm such a fool."

"Learn something from her", Daniel wrapped his hand around Alice's shoulders. He was wearing a white tee, a pair of black jeans & brown boots.

"Shrug off!" Alice gave him a cold shoulder while Eddie stuck her tongue at him.

Meanwhile, Alice completed her third song, 'Let's go there to love'

Eddie suddenly nudged Alice, bringing her back from her world of music, "There she is."

A s.e.xy woman in a red dress, swaying her h.i.p.s side to side, with the rhythmic clinking of boots, was seen approaching them with a flashy grin. Eddie & Alice had prominent scowls on their faces while on the other hand, Jake & Daniel looked like they were trying to find some places to hide.

"It's better if we stand up", Alice whispered to Eddie, already on her mission mode.

"Hmm", Eddie stood up at the same time as Alice. Seeing their girls stand up, Jake & Daniel stood up.

As expected, Nancy immediately pounced upon Daniel for a hug, only to find herself in someone else's embrace. Her face twitched with complications while a melodious voice spoke in her ears, "Long time no see, girl!" When she was released, she saw Alice holding her shoulders with a broad grin. Nancy forced an awkward smile while Jake, Eddie & Daniel were having a hard time holding back their laughter. The three of them had puckered lips.

Nancy felt so awkward that she had no other choice than to pounce on Jake now. But she had the same fate. Eddie hugged her instead. Another awkward moment.

This time, Alice, Jake & Daniel were having a hard time, duh! Awkwardness at its peak!!

When Eddie let her off, Nancy was having a hard time maintaining a happy face. This time, to push away her awkwardness, she said, "Let's go in & have some snacks."

Now she tried grabbing Jake's hand but found her hand on the nook on Eddie's palm while Eddie openly hooked her arm with Jake. Jake had a huge smile on his face. When she tried grabbing Daniel's hand, Alice took her hand instead.

The five of them holding hands & moving inside together naturally attracted attention. The restaurant was on the further end of Northern City, a gathering for social elites. Four of them, except Nancy, had a mask on.
