Lyricist: Her Revenge

Nancy was never embarrassed that way in her entire life. She was the Campus Queen since her college days while Alice was termed as the Mischief Goddess. She was brought up in a luxurious way with a golden spoon in her mouth since she was born. The type of humiliation she faced today, was never anticipated. She gnashed her teeth while she glared at the girls on her either side. She was considered pure & innocent as a fairy while her innate charms fooled everyone around her. But, Alice & Eddie knew the other way round. They were girls themselves & were not easy to fool.

After they sat down, the four of them, pulled down their masks & Alice very innocently asked Nancy, "What are you doing these days"

Nancy choked on her glass of water & coughed it out while Eddie patted her back with puckered lips. She smiled awkwardly, "Oh! These days, these days, Yes! I've invested in a fashion brand."

"Oh!" Eddie exclaimed before glancing at Alice, "Really?"

Alice smirked. A fashion brand? A fraud case! She had investigated her recent works before she had let Daniel agree about the meeting. She came to know that Nancy had invested in a fashion brand whose designer turned out to be fake! Nancy was always the narcissist.

Nancy noticed it but was bound to keep her mouth shut.

"I heard that you invested in a boy band recently", Jake said as he placed the orders for snacks.

Daniel smirked while Alice & Eddie had a hard time containing their laughter. Why? The boy band failed miserably because they were involved in drugs.

Loss after loss. But not sure what to do!

"Yeah...", Nancy stammered, "They...they recently won a competition in the UK."

"Oh!" Daniel exclaimed.

Their snacks arrived but the question session continued. Nancy was asked questions like, "Where did you go last year? I heard you went on a business trip in London?"

"What did you do on the trip to Milan?" or "I heard that you bought a new villa by the seaside."

And Nancy's answers were like, "Yeah, we signed a big deal on the last business trip!"

"My boyfriend proposed to me on the trip to Milan." or "My dad gifted me the Villa."

Without trying to make herself sound herself humble. Alice & co kept on taunting but she kept on flaunting!

Let's see who wins the game.

Flaunting v/s Taunting

The final question was the most hilarious, "I heard you are now one of the directors of the Access Groups."

"That...", the stammering queen stammered again, "Yes! Yes!"

Then she looked at her phone & exclaimed with horror-struck face, "Oh! I have a meeting to attend! Bye!"

She quickly fled the scene. T_T T_T

At last, taunting won the game!

Their evening ended with laughter & wits.

Aaron walked out of his newly set up office & looked up at the starry sky. He smiled as his thoughts were filled with Cath the entire day. He didn't have the courage to wake her when he left last night. So, he left a note after cooking something for her. It was not that he only knew how to cook porridge. It was just that he cooked for someone special.

He didn't have the courage to call her in the morning. So, he texted her. He typed, deleted & again typed before sending the first message. The guy who knew nothing about being a flirt was flirting with her with the note.

After calming down his thumping c.h.e.s.t, he took out his phone from his pocket & clicked o the 'contacts' icon. In it, were a few contacts, one of which was of Cath. He tapped on her name & pressed 'call'. The call got through & a melodious voice was heard.

"Hello!" the voice was neither of surprise nor questioning, but the one that could turn the sky pink without the heavens realizing it.

"What's up?" the words flowed out of Aaron's mouth without him realizing it.

"Nothing. You?" Cath spoke back casually. In the background, he could hear the faint sound of calling bell & the shuffling of a door.

"Thinking about you", his voice had a flirty edge to it.

"Really?" Cath smiled, "Then- Hey! What are you doing? Let me go!"

"Cath?" Aaron was alarmed, "Can you hear me?"

But no reply came & he could hear the banging & loud crashes from inside the phone.

"You, bastard! Let go of me!" Cath's voice was heard followed by some muffling noise.

Without hanging up, Aaron got into his car & stepped on the accelerator.

It was a 5 minutes drive but for Aaron, it felt like an eternity. He jumped out of his car & ran up the steps. The silent stairway became lively with his impatient footsteps.

He threw open the door & saw a man trying to pin down Cath on her bed. She was struggling painfully under his strength. Aaron immediately grabbed the man by his collar & threw him on the floor. The man shivered before running out of the opened door.

Aaron turned back & saw Cath curled up into a ball on the extreme corner of her bed.
