Alice plopped down on her bed once she had cleaned herself. She was exhausted, both mentally & physically. She set her alarm & quickly went to bed.

Her alarm went off at 5 p.m. She got up quickly & wore the one shoulder Grace Karin Long Evening Dress Chiffon, provided by her company. It was red in color & had silver stones studded on the single left shoulder. On her right hip, it had the similar silver stones studded into a star. She wore the matching Glamorousky Elegant Rose Necklace. While she was adjusting the necklace, her phone rang. It flashed an unknown number. She frowned but nevertheless, picked it up.

"Hello?"

"Hey! Remember me?" flooded in a flirty voice.

"Who are you?" Alice was annoyed with the flirty edge.

"Don't know me?" the voice carried a hint of a smile, "Or... are you avoiding me on purpose?"

"Who. Are. You?"

"I loved you in that red dress today."

"Stop messing", Alice gritted her teeth, "Who are you?"

"Well, we met today."

Alice did a quick mental check to think who could it be. But, she found nothing. She gave up & said, "There were many people. I don't think I know anyone except the workers & the locals."

"Try to think more", the voice on the other end snorted, "I think you're quite dumb."

"Who are you to judge me?" Alice bellowed.

"Well, any guess?"

"Umm...the superintendent & the officer were the only ones I don't know. Either of the two, I guess."

"Umm", the voice became a little impatient, "It's leading."

"Superintendent?"

"Wow!", a chuckle was heard, "You're quite bright, I see. But, you might have noticed me."

"Nah! I didn't", Alice replied as a matter of fact.

"So sad", a bit disappointment could be sensed, "I thought you noticed me just the way I noticed you."

Noticed him? Was he crazy? No one was more noticable than her Daniel.

"Nope!" Her patience finally exhausted, "Can you tell me why did you call me?"

"Why would a man call a woman?" the voice became flirty again.

"Stop going about in circles", she rolled her eyes.

"Oh, well", a low chuckle, "To say that you're pretty...pretty amazing."

"I know that better than you."

"You didn't ask me my name, Alice?"

"And you didn't tell me from where you got my number?"

The voice on the other end laughed heartily.

"You're seriously amazing!" he exclaimed, "Just amazing."

"And you", Alice mimicked him, "You're seriously annoying. Just annoying."

"Well, I was just wondering if you got an extra heart", the voice carried trace of hesitation.

"Huh?" Alice was confused.

"Oh, that's because I lost mine."

Alice sighed & rolled her eyes at his cheesy pick up lines.

"I still don't know who you are", Alice sighed again.

"Looks like you won't be asking for my name anytime soon."

"Nope, introduce yourself", Alice ordered like a queen she was.

"Did it hurt when you fell from the heavens?"

"Stop your nonsense!", she growled.

When was this guy going to stop his extensive flirting?

"Okay, then" the voice seemed tired. Maybe because his flirting didn't work, "See you tonight."

Alice frowned & rubbed her temples. What the heck was this 'see you tonight' thing? Her frown became deeper once she saw the time. She grabbed her clutch wallet & headed out. Like she thought, Amy was waiting outside with a serious expression, tapping the car bonnet. She looked at her impatiently & got into the car. Alice pursed her lips & followed suit.

Once she was inside & the car started rolling, Amy bombarded her with questions. Seems like Amy was in a quite bad mood today.

"What took your time?"

"Why were you so late?"

"Do you know what the time is?"

"Have you glanced at your watch yet?"

"Did you forget that I'm your manager?"

Alice rubbed her temples before speaking, "Relax, Amy! I'm just 5 minutes late."

"Do you know your 5 minutes will make us wait for an hour in the traffic jam?"

"..."

"Now?" Amy was furious, " What happened?"

"A mosquito needs to die", Alice said with a straight face, "He made me deliberately late."

"Huh?" Amy's anger turned into confusion.
