Jenny was disappointed. She thought that she had targeted Alice's weakness. But no! She was mistaken. She thought she would not easily escape. But Alice just vanished into a thin air even before the plan could begin. She gritted her teeth before she gave a call to Grace.

"Hello?" a mellow voice came from the other end.

"I...I'm sorry", Jenny closed her eyes & let out a sigh.

"You didn't make it? Right?" the voice was emotionless.

"Yes", Jenny sighed again, "I'm sorry."

"Don't worry", saying that the phone was hung up.

The sound echoed in the dark & empty room making Jenny sigh again.

Amus.e.m.e.nt park

Eddie dragged Jake into the park this morning. She complained that she had not bee there for a long time. Currently, both of them had ice cream in their hands. They sat on a bench, devouring it.

"Wanna see magic?" Eddie asked with squinted eyes. Jake looked at her lovingly. Her eyes had a billion stars today. It seems the stars disappeared last night because they were no in her eyes. His smile grew wide at her cheerful expression. Well, he was quite tired by Alice & Daniel's display of affection last night. But, on the other hand, Eddie spent her night 'aww'-fully. It looked at she would melt away any time.

"What kind of magic?" Jake asked, smiling.

"A magic that will make your ice cream disappear", Eddie gave him a cunning look, "Wanna try?"

"Really?" Jake narrowed his eyes.

The very moment, she pounced on his ice cream, & took a huge bite. With pursed lips, she smiled in a cute manner.

"I can show you another one", Jake smirked.

"Hmm?" Eddie nodded.

"The one that takes the ice cream back", Jake smiled before aiming at her lips.

"..." Eddie was quite alarmed by his daring move.

"How was it?" Jake smacked his lips devilishly.

"You...", Eddie pretended to be angry, but her face showed otherwise, a big smile on her little face, "Do you need to do such things in public?"

Little Hearts

Nicco's face was black as coal when he heard the truth. He spoke in a cold voice, "Our Sis, or Angel, as we call her, is a kind-hearted person. If she hadn't supported me back then, I would have nowhere on this earth. She gave me a new life & a new place called home."

"She is my inspiration. She taught us to never look back in life. She was the one who took the bullets for us. And you say, she is involved with child trafficking!" Nicco yelled impatiently, disturbing the peaceful silence.

Rocky lowered his head, "I'll give a thought on this matter."

"Yes! You will", Nicco said firmly, "The one who tried defaming her, must not escape unscathed."

The superintendent had a satisfied smile. He felt that the woman was not simple as well as not complicated at the same time. He wanted to find out more about this woman. The only thing he knew about her was that she was a lyricist & singer who rose from ashes. Alice surely piqued his interest.

Very soon, the police vans left the sight & the kids & the locals applauded happily. Alice smiled with closed eyes while the kids around hugged her. But, Amy had already grown impatient with the drama, "Are you done?"

"Mmm", Alice nodded & left with Amy after she bade goodbye to everyone.

On the way

Amy spoke again, "Go get a good rest. I'll pick you up an hour before."

"Mmm", she nodded, while deep in thought.

"What are you thinking?" Amy frowned.

"Thinking about the one who framed me."

Amy shot her an astonished look.
