Lyricist: Her Revenge

Chapter 36 - Politicians only!

Pink Villa

Amy woke up a little later than usual. She had brought most of her belongings here. So, she washed herself up & put on a clean frock. She loitered around the Villa. After all, her Ma'am had not returned yet. Moreover, she was hungry. What to do? What not to do? She was clueless.

Suddenly, she remembered that her Ma'am had left her phone number.

She quickly dialed it & got through one ring.

"Ma'am?"

"Oh, Amy? What's up?"

"I'm afraid to go out. But I'm hungry."

"Oh! You can find some in the kitchen. Well, call me Alice; we're the same age."

"Okay...Alice."

She hung up the phone & hurried down the stairs. She found the kitchen & hunted the cupboards & refrigerator.

"Too simple!", she thought. After all, her Mom was a chef in one of the best restaurants in the city.

She quickly diced some shallots, potatoes & onions. She found a deep saucepan & switched on the stove. Thereafter, she brought some to boil.

After it started boiling, she added the diced vegetables & stirred it. Meanwhile, she crushed some herbs & sprinkled it on two slices of bread. She then shoved it in the oven at the right temperature. Realizing that the veggies had become soft, she added salt, pepper & fresh cream. Very soon the smell of baked bread invaded her olfactory senses, her gustatory organs became active.

After all, she was the daughter of the sous chef.

Recording Studio

Zach finished his part of the playback. After chatting with the music director & sound engineers, he adjusted his mask before picking up his jacket. Of course, he never showed his face to anyone. Only his manager, Alice & her assistant saw his face after he rose to fame.

The manager quietly followed behind him to the car. After they got into the car, she asked, "Shall I send the lyrics & audio to the girl?"

Zach nodded & slipped into his old memories.

...

Zach sat listening to the lecture the Spanish teacher was giving on how to translate Spanish words. The girl sitting beside him was slouching on her seat. It irked him too much. He grabbed her collar & made her sit straight.

"What's the meaning of this?" the Alice girl growled.

"Sitting straight helps you to remember well", Zach said as a matter of fact.

"You know what", she smirked, "I have a cerebellum in my brain to maintain my posture."

"You...", Zach was furiously speechless.

"Huh!", Alice snorted.

"Silencio por favor", the girl beside her seemed annoyed.

"Miedo a las cucarachas?", Alice raised an amused brow with a smirk while shoving her hands in her shirt pocket.

"Tú...", the girl jumped from her seat. Zach was facepalmed. This evil dimwit!

The lady teacher noticed the commotion & she closed in. The girl beside Alice whispered quietly to the lady teacher, "Señora, Ella Tiene Una Cucaracha en el bolsillo."

The lady teacher was annoyed, "Alice! Stand up!"

"Yes, ma'am!", Alice stood up with a smirk. She very well knew her punishment. She'd a notebook handy.

"Translate this!", the teacher quickly wrote a line in Spanish. What a disappointment!!

YO TENGO UNA CUCARACHA

Alice walked up to the blackboard, picked up chalk & wrote unhurriedly in beautiful calligraphy, "I have a c.o.c.kroach."

The teacher was disappointed. But, look at her, not only she was good at pulling mischiefs but was equally good at academics. She's already decided to let her out of the class if she failed. But lo! That didn't happen.

Only three things mattered to this girl- Study, Music & Mischief.

...

Once she even thwarted a politician's daughter. The girl was a spoiled brat. One day, she came over arrogantly & ordered, "Hey girl! Get up from here. I'll be sitting here from now on."

"Why?", Alice asked lazily.

"Why!? Is that even a question? Don't you know who I'm?", the girl bellowed.

"Who are you?", she asked unhurriedly.

"You...", the girl exploded, "I'm the famous politician's daughter."

"Oh, so your Dad's a politician?" Alice snorted, "What about you? Are you a politician too?"

"You...what are you talking about?" the girl was helpless, "I'm not."

"Oh...", Alice blinked innocently, "But I give my seat to politicians only!"

The girl was going faint with anger. Her words had hit hard on her arrogance. She spoke angrily, "I'll make sure you disappear from this school."

"Go ahead! Let's see who disappears first", Alice snorted. Of course, she'd her own ways.

That day, during the lunch break, Alice saw the girl entering the washroom. She smiled satisfactorily at her progress.

When the girl entered, she heard strange scratching & banging noises from above. The girl was frightened as she ran out with tears in her eyes! Alice snorted with her hands on her hip. Her plan was working.

The fact was that the girl was ridiculously scared of ghosts that even the slightest noises made her frightened. For five consecutive days, the girl heard those strange noises. Even when she told her friends, they brushed it off saying, that it was her imagination.

Finally, on the sixth day, when she ran out of the washroom, she bumped into Alice. She greeted her with mockery, "Hello, Miss politician!"

The girl felt like crying but she stopped herself & quickly ran away. Alice smiled satisfactorily.

The next day, the girl never returned. Instead, after a few days, her Dad visited the school in hopes of pulling it down on the basis that it was haunted.

But, two reasons didn't let him achieve his motive.

Firstly, no other student experienced such a haunting presence. The school authority had concluded that something had traumatized his daughter.

Secondly, the school was owned by a high ranking government official.

Zach jolted back from his memories only when his car reached his Villa.
