Love Is Sweeter Second Time Around

Yiu Chunxiu escaped from his brother's sights as soon as she had the chance.

She leaned into the wall while she held a glass of white wine in her hand. She swirled the wine glass as she stared blankly into the sky. The clouds were murky and there wasn't any visible stars in the night sky. Would the sky cry this night?

What she happened earlier was nerve-cracking, she didn't expect that Gao Yishen would put her into tough situation. Somehow, it made her feel lighter. She discovered that Gao Yishen didn't forget her after all these years. It wasn't just her. They still hadn't moved on from each other but they knew that their love was impossible.

Actually, it wasn't. She could plead her family and if they discovered that he was Yuntian's father, they would probably even forced them to wed.

It was impossible to do that though, It was Gao Yishen who wished to end things between them. She didn't know why, she just couldn't contact him for two weeks. When she finally met him, he aged. He had dark circles under his eyes, his beard wasn't shaved and his body became skinner. He looked like someone took away his soul from him than time. She didn't expect that she would see him in that miserable state. They just haven't met for weeks, but he changed so much. It breaks her heart whenever she remembered it.

She tried asking him what happened but all he had was a faint and melancholic smile. He didn't want to tell her so she stopped probing.

It was the man who accompanied her through the worst and best time of her life yet she couldn't do anything for him, more of he didn't let her do anything. He built a wall in between them.

He didn't spoke even when she had gone hysterical in the cafe. People inside the cafe were already watching them, the woman was hysterical while the man was calm and collected. She may looked mad in their mind but she didn't think of that. She just wanted to know why he had to broke up her. No matter what she did, he didn't tell her anything. He kept it all in him.

That time she couldn't stopped herself from crying, nor to ask one last favor to him.

Minutes have passed then, she was trying to calm herself down. It was just her tears wouldn't stopped from falling. She had been crying for hours, she couldn't help but think that her lachrymal gland must have endless spring of tears inside. She wanted to laugh at herself, how could she make silly jokes in this situation?

She was trying to read what was on the mind of the person in front of her, he looked tired and his eyes were devoid of any emotion. The more she stated at him, the more she felt that she couldn't get any answer from him. He had always been hard to read, even before they started dating.

She was willing to give up her everything for him but he wasn't. He was willing to give her up for other things instead.

She made up her mind. Since she had already given him all her first, she might as well give up every woman's treasure before parting with him.

She glared at him with a determined face. "Sleep with me," she demanded.

Gao Yishen expression changed as soon as he heard what she had said. His eyebrows furrowed while gaping at her as if he had seen a ghost, "What?"

He finally responded to her. She repeated what she said in monotone like it wasn't a big deal at all, "Sleep with me."

Gao Yishen closed his eyes and rested his body in the chair. When he opened his eyes, he looked at her sharply. "No."

His eyes made her shivered. The way he declined was a command, the men in their family often used that to her when they rebuffed her. It didn't matter to her though.

"I'll follow you everywhere if you refused it." She warned.

She knew that she was degrading herself. She just loved him this much to sloop down into this level of desperation.

Her heart clenches whenever she remembered how easily it sounded for him to end their relationship. Like they didn't have any memories for a year of dating.

Or perhaps he was just playing with her and he just wanted to make her fall and leave her dejected?

He shrugged, "You know I won't do it."

She knew it, this man want that kind of guy. He believed that s.e.x.u.a.l i.n.t.e.r.c.o.u.r.s.e between woman and man should take place after marriage.

"You know I'll do it right?" She refused to back down, she just wanted to have this one last memory with him.

He didn't respond after that, he stared at her intently just as she did. Both of them knew that whoever gives up first would have to comply in other person's decision and she had no intention to surrender to him.

It had already been 3 minutes yet neither of them backed down.

Did he really not want to sleep with her? Does he really intend to maintain being celibate for his future wife? Why was he more old-school in this than her, it was her who was the woman! It was supposed to be him trying to convince her to embrace her, why is it the other way around? Why did she feel that she became the man in their relationship?

Gao Yishen suddenly heaved a sighed and drank his coffee that had been long gone cold, "Fine."

He gave up?

A wide smile spread across her face. Wait, was this even the time for her to be happy? They'll separate ways after this.

He looked at her helplessly, "But we'll go on a date first."

Nothing actually happened in their date, they just ate lunch together, strolled in the mall and went into an art gallery inside the mall.. They also ate ice cream together, well that was her favorite food before. It was just their usual date.

There was only two things she treasured from that date－ the pair of silver necklace they bought in a cheap price and the time they'd spent together.

After that she had gone into the hotel where they devoured each other, slowly and lovingly. Every kisses and moves were brimming with passion. Both of them were consumed by the d.e.s.i.r.e of each other however their consciousness remained in tact. They didn't lose themselves in the l.u.s.t, they knew that would be the last night and day they could be together, they just cherished each other as they did the act.

She knew that what she was doing was against her family's principles but she didn't think of that anymore, she was in bliss during that time. She didn't care of any of the consequences she might face.

Few weeks after that, she discovered that she was pregnant and Gao Yishen was the heir of Gao International Corporation. One of the country's largest company. It has countless of subsidiaries and explored different industry－ from real estate to hotels and restaurant. Recently, she heard that they were starting to explore technologies which was why they collaborated with her brother's IT company.
