Law Of Creation

Chapter 66 - Underwater's Ruin (Part 1)

[Urgh. . .] She felt as if her head spun. She held her head and kneaded her forehead in order to lessen the dizzying feeling.

It was not a good feeling for her.

Realizing something wrong that happened before she blackened out, Mingyue opened her eyes and looked around her.

Mingyue was inside a room, a wide and dark room. There was dust everywhere as if no one came after a long lime. The floors were made from the similar material with the ruins she was before.

The room was empty, with the exception of the four pillars in front of her. Even though the room was dark, the wall around her had a faint light. Thanks to the light, she was not covered in the darkness.

At her right side were the sleeping Xiao Wu, the little bird Xiao Ming, and also a bundle of food from Wu Mei.

Looking at the cloth that was bundling the food, Mingyue could feel something tugging her c.h.e.s.t.

Mingyue closed her eyes as she didn't like this feeling; it was not comfortable.

She felt a pain, a heart-wrenching pain.

But she remembered the promise that her big sis Mei made to her.

'No matter where you go. . .'

'Anywhere in this world. . .'

'Your big sis will find you. . .'

[That's right! She promised!] Mingyue closed her eyes and she didn't dwell on her heart-wrenching pain.

[Someday, we will meet each other again. Until that day, I will live my life to the fullest.] Mingyue opened her eyes as a gentle smile shone on her face.

"Xiao Jing, are you awake?" Mingyue tried to call Xiao Jing.

"Oh? You have awoken?" Xiao Jing said with a bland voice.

"What happened earlier? We didn't get caught by our chasers, right?" Mingyue was sure that the assassins had no relationship with this place, but she wanted to make sure.

"Ah, we are fine. There is nothing weird around here." Xiao Jing replied while came out of Mingyue's body. Xiao Jing's tone of speaking was similar to the usual lazy cat. "Ah. . At least I can go out now."

Xiao Jing immediately stretched her body after coming out.

"Sorry, since we were running everywhere, it was not convenient to let you out." Mingyue said with an apologetic voice.

Even though Xiao Jing was a lazy cat, Xiao Jing didn't like to stay inside Mingyue's body for too long since she couldn't move around.

"Humph. . ." Xiao Jing snorted while circling the pillar in front of us.

After circling a few times, all of sudden she scratched that pillar. I was baffled by her sudden act.

But looking at her satisfied expression, I didn't stop her as I moved my attention to another lazy one.

"Xiao Wu, Xiao Wu, wake up." Mingyue shook Xiao Wu's body at first. But seeing it had no effect, a glint of mischief flashed in her eyes.

She went closer to Xiao Wu's ear.

". . .Hey Xiao Wu. . . . Are you hungry?" Mingyue whispered with soft voice beside Xiao Wu's ear.

". . . Uhm. . . Nyam nyam. . ." Xiao Wu opened and closed her mouth as if she tasted some delicious food.

Seeing an interesting reaction in front of her, Mingyue couldn't help but to continue teasing Xiao Wu.

". . . Do you want food?" Mingyue continued to whisper beside Xiao Wu's ear.

". . Un. . . Food. . ."

". . . Imagine it. . . You are eating food. . . Delicious food. . ."

". . . Ahh. . . . It's good. . ." Xiao Wu suddenly was drooling in her sleep talk.

"Okey, time to wake up, Xiao Wu. Wipe your drool. . ." Mingyue suddenly tapped on Xiao Wu's forehead and woke her up. Mingyue suddenly felt bad after seeing her drool.

". . . Fueeh?" Xiao Wu half asleep half wake eyes opened up and looked at her left and right.

"Where is the food?" Xiao Wu's big eyes immediately directed at Mingyue.

Thanks to her guilt toward Xiao Wu, Mingyue just cleared her throat and said, "If I am not wrong, didn't you ever say that you only want to eat something like fruit? There is no fruit in this place. After we are safe, you can have as many fruits as you like."

But there was a doubt that could be seen on Xiao Wu's eyes. She didn't believe what Mingyue just said, there must be some kind of conspiracy!

But Mingyue didn't take notice of the doubt that was shown by Xiao Wu. Mingyue just stood up and walked around the room.

The room was wider than what Mingyue thought before. Mingyue traced the walls step by step as she wanted to get a hint. On the wall, there were some destroyed murals so she just passed it. After walking for some time, Mingyue found three gates, three ways out. But all of them were buried without any gap, so it was useless.

With Mingyue's observation, she could feel some trace of Spatial Interference even on the rubbles and wall. Brick, brick, and brick everywhere. All of the walls were made from brick. And the worst thing was all of these bricks contain Spatial Interference. No matter how long she dug, it would only tire herself.

[It will be counter-productive, better to find another way.]

Not getting any possibilities to escape from the walls surrounding, Mingyue turned her attention to the rubbles and the four pillars in the middle of the room.

Except for the 4 intact pillars, the other pillars were already broken. In the rubbles, Mingyue could see a faint wisp of black mist. Mingyue just saw the faint black mist without getting closer as she fell into deep thinking.

It was a big surprise for her to see this kind of thing in this world. But she didn't dwell on this matter for too long since her main objective was searching for a way out of this closed room.

On the pillar, there were some traces of murals. Some of the murals were clawed by something, but there was one intact mural. Mingyue couldn't find out anything about the mural since she was not an expert about it, but Mingyue could see a clear picture. The content was about a group of bowing human to someone standing on the water while holding a Trishula.

She understood a little about the weapon since there was a similar looking Trishula in her previous life.

[Connecting the three points in the mural, it may be about the Trishula.]

[Many bowed toward the Trishula holder, is it related to some god of the sea? Or are those people the worshipper of the sea?]

[Sea? Water? Don't tell me] Mingyue moved her gaze toward the pool of water at the corner of the room. It was very inconspicuous but it was not hard for her to find.

[Bingo!] She could see a narrow hole under the pool after she took a good look. Even though the hole was narrow, she and Xiao Wu should be able to go outside from this hole.

[It should be connected to somewhere else.] Mingyue rubbed her chin as she was observing the pool.

She was observing the upside and the downside of her situation. Even though they could go out of this room, it didn't mean they would be safe. Danger always lurked everywhere.

Shaking her head, Mingyue made up her mind. [It was better than trapped in a room without any hope to get out.]

[But the big problem is that ruins. To be able to teleport me and Xiao Wu means there are more secrets about this world.]

Mingyue looked at her hand.

[Can I replicate the spatial interference by using Elemental rather than spiritual qi?]

Shaking her head, she diminished her thinking.

[Nah. Forget it. Even if it can be replicated, I will not be able to use it freely. It is unsuitable for me since it will give another burden to my body.]
