Law Of Creation

Chapter 65 - Miasma

The Fourth Prince Point of View

At the skirts of the ruins.

"Scorpion One. What are these ruins?" The Fourth Prince asked the black-clothed assassin behind him, Scorpion One, the head of intelligence gathering of his Assassin Squad.

Scorpion One was the man with the most contact with him since his job was gathering any information about the Fire Kingdom. He was the same person as the one that reported the information about the Malin Kundang stone.

The Assassin Squad was a gathering of assassins from the Black Crow Palace which was under direct command of the Fourth Prince. But unlike their original job in the assassination, the Fourth Prince would use them for spying and information gathering, while the other menial job like excavating the Malin Kundang statue was thrown to the Black Crow Palace.

Like any other assassination organization, the Black Crow Palace couldn't immediately send some assassin to get the mission done. Most of the assassins at the Black Crow Palace had their freedom to choose their own mission, and most of the chosen mission was assassination.

If the Fourth Prince issued a standard mission request, then it would take at least tens of days to get the mission taken. And in that condition, the Fourth Prince entrusted the mission request to Scorpion One.

No one knew about Scorpion One's real identity, but his influence among the higher-up in the Black Crow Palace was high. He could make the Black Crow Palace sent tens of assassins for a special mission, the mission which was issued by the Fourth Prince.

". . . This area should be the remnant of the Ocean Temple." Scorpion One replied after looking around the area.

Seeing the Fourth Prince was only looked at him silently, Scorpion One continued his explanation.

"Ocean Temple was the place where Ocean Tribe worshipped the ruler of the sea. There is not much information about the ruler of the sea, but some old mural depicted that Ocean Tribe were always a favoured child in the sea. They would gain a bountiful harvest and never faced any form of disaster on the sea. They also were blessed by a strong and big physique."

"They had disappeared a long time ago and no one found any trace of them. Thus, Ocean Tribe becomes a local legend around the skirts of the sea in the Water Association."

"Well, it was not important whether it was a remnant or not. What I want to know, why did my body have a little reaction to this place?" The warm smile on the Fourth Prince disappeared and was changed with an expression filled with l.u.s.t.

". . . The Ocean Tribe possibility was very strong in that era, and this Ocean Temple was their sacred place. If they were destroyed, then the only thing that could destroy them should be 'it'."

"It was the only plausible explanation. It is only my opinion based on the information I have currently. My apologies if I was offending you with my opinion." Scorpion One bowed his body a little.

" 'It', you say? It is the very plausible explanation since it is the only thing I d.e.s.i.r.ed."

"Unexpectedly a 'rabbit hunting' could lead us to a place like this. If I didn't come here, then we would have missed a big opportunity for us." The Fourth Prince licked his lip as if seeing a n.a.k.e.d woman in front of him.

His face returned to the usual bright smile and he continued, "Okay, let's see our rabbit now. This place will not go anywhere, so it would be fine for us to take care of our little rabbit first."

"I am interested since that red hair was so adamant on driving my attention to her. What did she see in that little rabbit? Does she have any worth?"

Scorpion One didn't answer as he infused Elemental into the transmitter.

". . . This is Scorpion One. . . Report your position. . ."

". . . Pig-like teammate. . . really a pain. . ." A blurry voice could be heard

Scorpion One was tongue-tied since this was the first time someone called him as pig-like teammates.

[Heck!]

[I was asking your position and you cursed me? Really?]

He clenched his fist as he swore to slap this imbecile retard to death.

"So? " The Fourth Prince had a nonchalant expression as he looked around the ruins.

But unknown to the Fourth Prince, his nonchalant question wounded the fragile heart and pride of the Scorpion One. But since the Fourth Prince was his direct superior and he had pledged allegiance to him, Scorpion One could only swallow this injustice.

[I want to cry!]

[I really want to cry blood!]

[This injustice!]

[I will definitely make that person pay the price!]

And while the Scorpion One had a dead-fish-like expression, the Fourth Prince thought of the technology behind the transmitter.

There were not many who knew about the source of technologies used for the transmitter. Only he himself, Scorpion One as his close aide, and those 'guest'.

The transmitter was created by the 'invited' researchers when they tried to figure out the secret about the Malin Kundang stone.

Even though the researchers couldn't find out the secret of the Earth Golem, they gained some ancient technology's knowledge. It was the only good news in the middle of the slow research of the Malin Kundang Stone.

Even if his guest couldn't unearth the potential of the Earth Golem, he should be able to get some useful knowledge about ancient technology. Like this transmitter.

Even though this device was incomplete and crudely made, he couldn't deny the convenience he felt these few days. If he could mass produce this crude device and keep the best for his own use, then he would definitely be able to gain the recognition from the citizen. And his road to be the ruler would be far smoother than any other prince. But it was only a possibility, and it was a small possibility that he would be able to gain the throne.

When he remembered that greedy Father and loser Crown Prince, he felt disgusted. They were like a pea in a pod, a clown.

[They are not worthy to hold the power!]

[They are weak!]

[That's why I will topple them from their throne and power!]

[Taking over this kingdom was only his first step.]

[After that, I will take over everything in this world and create an empire!]

[With this strength. . .]

[And if I couldn't take over it, then it should be destroyed sooner or later.]

[If it has no use, then I will not bother. If it was not mine, then I will destroy it.]

The Fourth Prince's face full of malevolence, his eyes turned red, and he was shrouded by a black mist.

But something happened to the ruins in front of them caught them in surprise.

Scorpion One was surprised!

The Fourth Prince was also surprised!

A faint trace of black gaseous mist came out of the ruins! The very same black mist which was emitted from the Fourth Prince's body!

Other people didn't know much about the Fourth Prince's secret, but he, Scorpion One knew a few things about the Fourth Prince, the Real Fourth Prince.

Once, he gained an unexpected incomplete inheritance from the ancient times and it was incorporated into his own body, making his own body as a vessel for the inheritance.

But from the Fourth Prince, he knew the proper name of that inheritance.

The Fourth Prince called this black mist. . .

Miasma. . .

The bane of Elemental.
